1摩西 去告訴 以色列 眾人
1When Moses had finished speaking these words to all Israel,
2說：「我現在一百二十歲了，不能照常出入；耶和華也曾對我說：『你必不得過這 約旦河 。』
2he said to them, “I am now a hundred and twenty years old; I am no longer able to come and go, and the LORD has said to me, ‘You shall not cross the Jordan.’
3耶和華－你們的上帝必引導你們過去，將這些國民在你們面前滅絕，你們就得他們的地。 約書亞 必引導你們過去，正如耶和華所說的。
3The LORD your God Himself will cross over ahead of you. He will destroy these nations before you, and you will dispossess them. Joshua will cross ahead of you, as the LORD has said.
4耶和華必待他們，如同從前待他所滅絕的 亞摩利 二王 西宏 與 噩 以及他們的國一樣。
4And the LORD will do to them as He did to Sihon and Og, the kings of the Amorites, when He destroyed them along with their land.
5耶和華必將他們交給你們；你們要照我所吩咐的一切命令待他們。
5The LORD will deliver them over to you, and you must do to them exactly as I have commanded you.
6你們當剛強壯膽，不要害怕，也不要畏懼他們，因為耶和華－你的上帝和你同去。他必不撇下你，也不丟棄你。」
6Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid or terrified of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.”
7摩西 召了 約書亞 來，在 以色列 眾人眼前對他說：「你當剛強壯膽！因為，你要和這百姓一同進入耶和華向他們列祖起誓應許所賜之地；你也要使他們承受那地為業。
7Then Moses called for Joshua and said to him in the presence of all Israel, “Be strong and courageous, for you will go with this people into the land that the LORD swore to their fathers to give them, and you shall give it to them as an inheritance.
8耶和華必在你前面行；他必與你同在，必不撇下你，也不丟棄你。不要懼怕，也不要驚惶。」
8The LORD Himself goes before you; He will be with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid or discouraged.”
9摩西 將這律法寫出來，交給抬耶和華約櫃的祭司 利未 子孫和 以色列 的眾長老。
9So Moses wrote down this law and gave it to the priests, the sons of Levi, who carried the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and to all the elders of Israel.
10摩西 吩咐他們說：「每逢七年的末一年，就在豁免年的定期住棚節的時候，
10Then Moses commanded them, “At the end of every seven years, at the appointed time in the year of remission of debt, during the Feast of Tabernacles,
11以色列 眾人來到耶和華－你上帝所選擇的地方朝見他。那時，你要在 以色列 眾人面前將這律法念給他們聽。
11when all Israel comes before the LORD your God at the place He will choose, you are to read this law in the hearing of all Israel.
12要招聚他們男、女、孩子，並城裏寄居的，使他們聽，使他們學習，好敬畏耶和華－你們的上帝，謹守、遵行這律法的一切話，
12Assemble the people—men, women, children, and the foreigners within your gates—so that they may listen and learn to fear the LORD your God and to follow carefully all the words of this law.
13也使他們未曾曉得 這律法 的兒女得以聽見，學習敬畏耶和華－你們的上帝，在你們過 約旦河 要得為業之地，存活的日子，常常這樣行。」
13Then their children who do not know the law will listen and learn to fear the LORD your God, as long as you live in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess.”
14耶和華對 摩西 說：「你的死期臨近了；要召 約書亞 來，你們二人站在會幕裏，我好囑咐他。」於是 摩西 和 約書亞 去站在會幕裏。
14Then the LORD said to Moses, “Behold, the time of your death is near. Call Joshua and present yourselves at the Tent of Meeting, so that I may commission him.” So Moses and Joshua went and presented themselves at the Tent of Meeting.
15耶和華在 會 幕裏雲柱中顯現，雲柱停在 會 幕門以上。
15Then the LORD appeared at the tent in a pillar of cloud, and the cloud stood over the entrance to the tent.
16耶和華又對 摩西 說：「你必和你列祖同睡。這百姓要起來，在他們所要去的地上，在那地的人中，隨從外邦神行邪淫，離棄我，違背我與他們所立的約。
16And the LORD said to Moses, “You will soon rest with your fathers, and these people will rise up and prostitute themselves with the foreign gods of the land they are entering. They will forsake Me and break the covenant I have made with them.
17那時，我的怒氣必向他們發作；我也必離棄他們，掩面不顧他們，以致他們被吞滅，並有許多的禍患災難臨到他們。那日他們必說：『這些禍患臨到我們，豈不是因我們的上帝不在我們中間嗎？』
17On that day My anger will burn against them, and I will abandon them and hide My face from them, so that they will be consumed, and many troubles and afflictions will befall them. On that day they will say, ‘Have not these disasters come upon us because our God is no longer with us?’
18那時，因他們偏向別神所行的一切惡，我必定掩面不顧他們。
18And on that day I will surely hide My face because of all the evil they have done by turning to other gods.
19現在你要寫一篇歌，教導 以色列 人，傳給他們，使這歌見證他們的不是；
19Now therefore, write down for yourselves this song and teach it to the Israelites; have them recite it, so that it may be a witness for Me against them.
20因為我將他們領進我向他們列祖起誓應許那流奶與蜜之地，他們在那裏吃得飽足，身體肥胖，就必偏向別神，事奉他們，藐視我，背棄我的約。
20When I have brought them into the land that I swore to give their fathers, a land flowing with milk and honey, they will eat their fill and prosper. Then they will turn to other gods and worship them, and they will reject Me and break My covenant.
21那時，有許多禍患災難臨到他們，這歌必在他們面前作見證，他們後裔的口中必念誦不忘。我未領他們到我所起誓應許之地以先，他們所懷的意念我都知道了。」
21And when many troubles and afflictions have come upon them, this song will testify against them, because it will not be forgotten from the lips of their descendants. For I know their inclination, even before I bring them into the land that I swore to give them.”
22當日 摩西 就寫了一篇歌，教導 以色列 人。
22So that very day Moses wrote down this song and taught it to the Israelites.
23耶和華囑咐 嫩 的兒子 約書亞 說：「你當剛強壯膽，因為你必領 以色列 人進我所起誓應許他們的地；我必與你同在。」
23Then the LORD commissioned Joshua son of Nun and said, “Be strong and courageous, for you will bring the Israelites into the land that I swore to give them, and I will be with you.”
24摩西 將這律法的話寫在書上，及至寫完了，
24When Moses had finished writing in a book the words of this law from beginning to end,
25就吩咐抬耶和華約櫃的 利未 人說：
25he gave this command to the Levites who carried the ark of the covenant of the LORD:
26「將這律法書放在耶和華－你們上帝的約櫃旁，可以在那裏見證 以色列 人的不是；
26“Take this Book of the Law and place it beside the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, so that it may remain there as a witness against you.
27因為我知道你們是悖逆的，是硬着頸項的。我今日還活着與你們同在，你們尚且悖逆耶和華，何況我死後呢？
27For I know how rebellious and stiff-necked you are. If you are already rebelling against the LORD while I am still alive, how much more will you rebel after my death!
28你們要將你們支派的眾長老和官長都招聚了來，我好將這些話說與他們聽，並呼天喚地見證他們的不是。
28Assemble before me all the elders of your tribes and all your officers so that I may speak these words in their hearing and call heaven and earth to witness against them.
29我知道我死後，你們必全然敗壞，偏離我所吩咐你們的道，行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，以手所做的惹他發怒；日後必有禍患臨到你們。」
29For I know that after my death you will become utterly corrupt and turn from the path I have commanded you. And in the days to come, disaster will befall you because you will do evil in the sight of the LORD to provoke Him to anger by the work of your hands.”
30摩西 將這一篇歌的話都說與 以色列 全會眾聽。
30Then Moses recited aloud to the whole assembly of Israel the words of this song from beginning to end:
