1夏琐 王 耶宾 听见这事，就打发人去见 玛顿 王 约巴 、 伸 王、 押煞 王，
1And it came to pass, when Jabin king of Hazor heard thereof, that he sent to Jobab king of Madon, and to the king of Shimron, and to the king of Achshaph,
2与北方山地、 基尼烈 南边的 亚拉巴 高原，并西边 多珥 山冈的诸王；
2and to the kings that were on the north, in the hill-country and in the Arabah south of Chinneroth, and in the Lowland, and in the regions of Dor on the west,
3又去见东方和西方的 迦南 人，与山地的 亚摩利 人、 赫 人、 比利洗 人、 耶布斯 人，并 黑门山 根 米斯巴 地的 希未 人。
3to the Canaanite on the east and on the west, and the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Jebusite in the hill-country, and the Hivite under Hermon in the land of Mizpah.
4这些王和他们的众军都出来，人数多如海边的沙，并有许多马匹车辆。
4And they went out, they and all their hosts with them, much people, even as the sand that is upon the sea-shore in multitude, with horses and chariots very many.
5这诸王会合，来到 米伦 水边，一同安营，要与 以色列 人争战。
5And all these kings met together, and they came and pitched together at the waters of Merom, to fight with Israel.
6耶和华对 约书亚 说：「你不要因他们惧怕。明日这时，我必将他们交付 以色列 人全然杀了。你要砍断他们马的蹄筋，用火焚烧他们的车辆。」
6And the LORD said unto Joshua: 'Be not afraid because of them; for to-morrow at this time will I deliver them up all slain before Israel; thou shalt hough their horses, and burn their chariots with fire.'
7于是 约书亚 率领一切兵丁，在 米伦 水边突然向前攻打他们。
7So Joshua came, and all the people of war with him, against them by the waters of Merom suddenly, and fell upon them.
8耶和华将他们交在 以色列 人手里， 以色列 人就击杀他们，追赶他们到 西顿 大城，到 米斯利弗·玛音 ，直到东边 米斯巴 的平原，将他们击杀，没有留下一个。
8And the LORD delivered them into the hand of Israel, and they smote them, and chased them unto great Zidon, and unto Misrephoth-maim, and unto the valley of Mizpeh eastward; and they smote them, until they left them none remaining.
9约书亚 就照耶和华所吩咐他的去行，砍断他们马的蹄筋，用火焚烧他们的车辆。
9And Joshua did unto them as the LORD bade him; he houghed their horses, and burnt their chariots with fire.
10当时， 约书亚 转回夺了 夏琐 ，用刀击杀 夏琐 王。（素来 夏琐 在这诸国中是为首的。）
10And Joshua turned back at that time, and took Hazor, and smote the king thereof with the sword: for Hazor beforetime was the head of all those kingdoms.
11以色列 人用刀击杀城中的人口，将他们尽行杀灭；凡有气息的没有留下一个。 约书亚 又用火焚烧 夏琐 。
11And they smote all the souls that were therein with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying them; there was none left that breathed; and he burnt Hazor with fire.
12约书亚 夺了这些王的一切城邑，擒获其中的诸王，用刀击杀他们，将他们尽行杀灭，正如耶和华仆人 摩西 所吩咐的。
12And all the cities of those kings, and all the kings of them, did Joshua take, and he smote them with the edge of the sword, and utterly destroyed them; as Moses the servant of the LORD commanded.
13至于造在山冈上的城，除了 夏琐 以外， 以色列 人都没有焚烧。 约书亚 只将 夏琐 焚烧了。
13But as for the cities that stood on their mounds, Israel burned none of them, save Hazor only — that did Joshua burn.
14那些城邑所有的财物和牲畜， 以色列 人都取为自己的掠物；惟有一切人口都用刀击杀，直到杀尽；凡有气息的没有留下一个。
14And all the spoil of these cities, and the cattle, the children of Israel took for a prey unto themselves; but every man they smote with the edge of the sword, until they had destroyed them, neither left they any that breathed.
15耶和华怎样吩咐他仆人 摩西 ， 摩西 就照样吩咐 约书亚 ， 约书亚 也照样行。凡耶和华所吩咐 摩西 的， 约书亚 没有一件懈怠不行的。
15As the LORD commanded Moses His servant, so did Moses command Joshua; and so did Joshua; he left nothing undone of all that the LORD commanded Moses.
16约书亚 夺了那全地，就是山地、一带南地、 歌珊 全地、高原、 亚拉巴 、 以色列 的山地，和山下的高原。
16So Joshua took all that land, the hill-country, and all the South, and all the land of Goshen, and the Lowland, and the Arabah, and the hill-country of Israel, and the Lowland of the same;
17从上 西珥 的 哈拉山 ，直到 黑门山 下 黎巴嫩 平原的 巴力·迦得 ，并且擒获那些地的诸王，将他们杀死。
17from the bare mountain, that goeth up to Seir, even unto Baal-gad in the valley of Lebanon under mount Hermon; and all their kings he took, and smote them, and put them to death.
18约书亚 和这诸王争战了许多年日。
18Joshua made war a long time with all those kings.
19除了 基遍 的 希未 人之外，没有一城与 以色列 人讲和的，都是 以色列 人争战夺来的。
19There was not a city that made peace with the children of Israel, save the Hivites the inhabitants of Gibeon; they took all in battle.
20因为耶和华的意思是要使他们心里刚硬，来与 以色列 人争战，好叫他们尽被杀灭，不蒙怜悯，正如耶和华所吩咐 摩西 的。
20For it was of the LORD to harden their hearts, to come against Israel in battle, that they might be utterly destroyed, that they might have no favour, but that they might be destroyed, as the LORD commanded Moses.
21当时 约书亚 来到，将住山地、 希伯 、 底璧 、 亚拿伯 、 犹大 山地、 以色列 山地所有的 亚衲 族人剪除了。 约书亚 将他们和他们的城邑尽都毁灭。
21And Joshua came at that time, and cut off the Anakim from the hill-country, from Hebron, from Debir, from Anab, and from all the hill-country of Judah, and from all the hill-country of Israel; Joshua utterly destroyed them with their cities.
22在 以色列 人的地没有留下一个 亚衲 族人，只在 迦萨 、 迦特 ，和 亚实突 有留下的。
22There was none of the Anakim left in the land of the children of Israel; only in Gaza, in Gath, and in Ashdod, did some remain.
23这样， 约书亚 照着耶和华所吩咐 摩西 的一切话夺了那全地，就按着 以色列 支派的宗族将地分给他们为业。于是国中太平，没有争战了。
23So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the LORD spoke unto Moses; and Joshua gave it for an inheritance unto Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. And the land had rest from war.
