1耶和华的话临到 耶利米 说：
1The word that came from the Lord to Jeremias, saying:
2「当听这约的话，告诉 犹大 人和 耶路撒冷 的居民，
2Hear ye the words of this covenant, and speak to the men of Juda, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem,
3对他们说，耶和华— 以色列 的 神如此说：不听从这约之话的人必受咒诅。
3And thou shalt say to them: Thus saith the Lord the God of Israel: Cursed is the man that shall not hearken to the words of this covenant,
4这约是我将你们列祖从 埃及 地领出来、脱离铁炉的那日所吩咐他们的，说：『你们要听从我的话，照我一切所吩咐的去行。』这样，你们就作我的子民，我也作你们的 神；
4Which I commanded your fathers in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, from the iron furnace, saying: Hear ye my voice, and do all things that I command you: and you shall be my people, and I will be your God:
5我好坚定向你们列祖所起的誓，给他们流奶与蜜之地，正如今日一样。」我就回答说：「耶和华啊，阿们！」
5That I may accomplish the oath which I swore to your fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as it is this day. And I answered and said: Amen, O Lord.
6耶和华对我说：「你要在 犹大 城邑中和 耶路撒冷 街市上，宣告这一切话说：你们当听从遵行这约的话。
6And the Lord said to me: Proclaim aloud all these words in the cities of Juda, and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying: Hear ye the words of the covenant, and do them:
7因为我将你们列祖从 埃及 地领出来的那日，直到今日，都是从早起来，切切告诫他们说：『你们当听从我的话。』
7For protesting I conjured your fathers in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt even to this day: rising early I conjured them, and said: Hearken ye to my voice:
8他们却不听从，不侧耳而听，竟随从自己顽梗的恶心去行。所以我使这约中一切 咒诅 的话临到他们身上；这约是我吩咐他们行的，他们却不去行。」
8And they obeyed not, nor inclined their ear: but walked every one in the perverseness of his own wicked heart: and I brought upon them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do, but they did them not.
9耶和华对我说：「在 犹大 人和 耶路撒冷 居民中有同谋背叛的事。
9And the Lord said to me: A conspiracy is found among the men of Juda, and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
10他们转去效法他们的先祖，不肯听我的话，犯罪作孽，又随从别神，事奉它。 以色列 家和 犹大 家背了我与他们列祖所立的约。」
10They are returned to the former iniquities of their fathers, who refused to hear my words: so these likewise have gone after strange gods, to serve them: the house of Israel, and the house of Juda have made void my covenant, which I made with their fathers.
11所以耶和华如此说：「我必使灾祸临到他们，是他们不能逃脱的。他们必向我哀求，我却不听。
11Wherefore thus saith the Lord: Behold I will bring in evils upon them, which they shall not be able to escape: and they shall cry to me, and I will not hearken to them.
12那时， 犹大 城邑的人和 耶路撒冷 的居民要去哀求他们烧香所供奉的神；只是遭难的时候，这些神毫不拯救他们。
12And the cities of Juda, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem shall go, and cry to the gods to whom they offer sacrifice, and they shall not save them in the time of their affliction.
13犹大 啊，你神的数目与你城的数目相等；你为那可耻的 巴力 所筑烧香的坛也与 耶路撒冷 街道的数目相等。
13For according to the number of thy cities were thy gods, O Juda: and according to the number of the streets of Jerusalem thou hast set up altars of confusion, altars to offer sacrifice to Baalim.
14「所以你不要为这百姓祈祷，不要为他们呼求祷告；因为他们遭难向我哀求的时候，我必不应允。
14Therefore, do not thou pray for this people, and do not take up praise and prayer for them: for I will not hear them in the time of their cry to me, in the time of their affliction.
15我所亲爱的，既行许多淫乱，圣肉也离了你，你在我殿中做什么呢？你作恶就喜乐。
15What is the meaning that my beloved hath wrought muck wickedness in my house? shall the holy flesh take away from thee thy crimes, in which thou hast boasted?
16从前耶和华给你起名叫青橄榄树，又华美又结好果子；如今他用哄嚷之声，点火在其上，枝子也被折断。
16The Lord called thy name, a plentiful olive tree, fair, fruitful, and beautiful: at the noise of a word, a great fire was kindled in it and the branches thereof are burnt.
17原来栽培你的万军之耶和华已经说，要降祸攻击你，是因 以色列 家和 犹大 家行恶，向 巴力 烧香，惹我发怒，是自作自受。」
17And the Lord of hosts that planted thee, hath pronounced evil against thee: for the evils of the house of Israel, and the house of Juda, which they have done to themselves, to provoke me, offering sacrifice to Baalim.
18耶和华指示我，我就知道； 你将他们所行的给我指明。
18But thou, O Lord, hast shewn me, and I have known: then thou shewedst me their doings.
19我却像柔顺的羊羔被牵到宰杀之地； 我并不知道他们设计谋害我， 说 ：我们把树连果子都灭了吧！ 将他从活人之地剪除， 使他的名不再被纪念。
19And I was as a meek lamb, that is carried to be a victim: and I knew not that they had devised counsels against me, saying: Let us put wood on his bread, and cut him off from the land of the living, and let his name be remembered no more.
20按公义判断、察验人肺腑心肠的万军之耶和华啊， 我却要见你在他们身上报仇， 因我将我的案件向你禀明了。
20But thou, O Lord of Sabaoth, who judgest justly, and triest the reins and hearts, let me see thy revenge on them: for to thee I have revealed my cause.
21所以，耶和华论到寻索你命的 亚拿突 人如此说：「他们说：你不要奉耶和华的名说预言，免得你死在我们手中。
21Therefore thus saith the Lord to the men of Anathoth, who seek thy life, and say: Thou shalt not prophesy in the name of the Lord, and thou shalt not die in our hands.
22所以万军之耶和华如此说：看哪，我必刑罚他们；他们的少年人必被刀剑杀死，他们的儿女必因饥荒灭亡，
22Therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts: Behold I will visit upon them: and their young men shall die by the sword, their sons and their daughters shall die by famine.
23并且没有余剩的人留给他们；因为在追讨之年，我必使灾祸临到 亚拿突 人。」
23And there shall be no remains of them: for I will bring in evil upon the men of Anathoth, the year of their visitation.
