Jeremiah 11

Bible Mutal (Kosraean)
Douay-Rheims Bible, American Edition (1899)
1LEUM GOD El fahk nu sik,
1The word that came from the Lord to Jeremias, saying:
2“Porongo kas ke wuleang uh. Fahk nu sin mwet Judah ac nu selos su muta Jerusalem
2Hear ye the words of this covenant, and speak to the men of Juda, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem,
3lah nga, LEUM GOD lun Israel, fah selngawi mwet nukewa su tia akos kas in wuleang se inge —
3And thou shalt say to them: Thus saith the Lord the God of Israel: Cursed is the man that shall not hearken to the words of this covenant,
4wuleang se su nga tuh orala yurin mwet matu lalos ke nga tuh usalosme liki acn Egypt, acn se ma oana funyu firirir se nu selos ah. Nga tuh fahk nu selos in akosyu ac in oru ma nukewa ma nga sapkin. Nga fahkang nu selos mu elos fin akos, elos ac fah mwet luk ac nga ac fah God lalos.
4Which I commanded your fathers in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, from the iron furnace, saying: Hear ye my voice, and do all things that I command you: and you shall be my people, and I will be your God:
5Na nga fah akpwayei wuleang su nga tuh orala yurin mwet matu lalos mu nga ac sang nu selos facl mut ac kasrup fohk we se su elos muta fac inge.” Ac nga fahk, “Aok pwaye, LEUM GOD .”
5That I may accomplish the oath which I swore to your fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as it is this day. And I answered and said: Amen, O Lord.
6Na LEUM GOD El fahk nu sik, “Fahla nu in siti lun Judah ac nu inkanek Jerusalem ac sulkakin kas luk we. Fahk nu sin mwet uh in porongo kalmen kas in wuleang sac ac akos.
6And the Lord said to me: Proclaim aloud all these words in the cities of Juda, and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying: Hear ye the words of the covenant, and do them:
7Ke nga tuh use mwet matu lalos liki facl Egypt, nga wili na nu selos in akosyu, ac nga kalwenina in akesmakinyalos kac nwe misenge.
7For protesting I conjured your fathers in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt even to this day: rising early I conjured them, and said: Hearken ye to my voice:
8Tusruktu elos tiana porongo ku akosyu, a elos nukewa likkekelana ac oru na ma koluk. Nga sapkin elos in karinganang wuleang sac, a elos srunga. Ouinge nga use nu faclos mwe kalyai nukewa ma aketeyuki in wuleang uh.”
8And they obeyed not, nor inclined their ear: but walked every one in the perverseness of his own wicked heart: and I brought upon them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do, but they did them not.
9Na LEUM GOD El fahk nu sik, “Mwet Judah ac mwet Jerusalem elos orek pwapa koluk in lainyu.
9And the Lord said to me: A conspiracy is found among the men of Juda, and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
10Elos sifilpa folokla nu ke ouiya koluk lun mwet matu lalos meet ah, su srunga oru ma nga fahk. Elos alu nu ke god saya. Israel ac Judah kewa kunausla wuleang ma nga tuh oru yurin mwet matu lalos.
10They are returned to the former iniquities of their fathers, who refused to hear my words: so these likewise have gone after strange gods, to serve them: the house of Israel, and the house of Juda have made void my covenant, which I made with their fathers.
11Ouinge nga, LEUM GOD , akesmakinyalos lah nga ac fah use ongoiya lulap nu faclos, ac elos fah tia ku in kaingkunla. Elos fin mau wowoyak nu sik nga in kasrelos, nga ac fah tia lohngolos.
11Wherefore thus saith the Lord: Behold I will bring in evils upon them, which they shall not be able to escape: and they shall cry to me, and I will not hearken to them.
12Na mwet Judah ac Jerusalem fah som ac wowoyak nu ke god ma elos esukak mwe kisa keng nu se, tusruktu god ingan ac fah koflana molelosla ke pacl se ongoiya inge ac tuku uh.
12And the cities of Juda, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem shall go, and cry to the gods to whom they offer sacrifice, and they shall not save them in the time of their affliction.
13Oasr god puspis lun mwet Judah oana pisen siti lalos. Ac mwet Jerusalem elos etoak loang puspis in orek kisa nu sin Baal, god srungayuk sac, oana pisen inkanek in siti uh.
13For according to the number of thy cities were thy gods, O Juda: and according to the number of the streets of Jerusalem thou hast set up altars of confusion, altars to offer sacrifice to Baalim.
14Jeremiah, nimet kom aol mwet inge in pre nu sik ku kwafe nu sik kaclos. Elos fin sun ongoiya ac pang in sukok kasru sik, nga ac tia porongalos.”
14Therefore, do not thou pray for this people, and do not take up praise and prayer for them: for I will not hear them in the time of their cry to me, in the time of their affliction.
15LEUM GOD El fahk, “Mwet su nga lungse yohk elos oru na ma koluk. Ya oasr suwohs lalos in muta in Tempul sik? Ya elos nunku mu elos ku in kutongya mwe ongoiya nu selos ke elos orek wulela ac ke elos kisakin kosro natulos? Ya elos ku in engan?
15What is the meaning that my beloved hath wrought muck wickedness in my house? shall the holy flesh take away from thee thy crimes, in which thou hast boasted?
16Sie pacl ah nga pangon elos oana soko sak olive matol insroa ac rukruk ke fahko kato. A inge, ke sie ngirngir oana pusren pulal, nga fah esukak sra uh ac koteya lah kac uh.
16The Lord called thy name, a plentiful olive tree, fair, fruitful, and beautiful: at the noise of a word, a great fire was kindled in it and the branches thereof are burnt.
17“Nga, LEUM GOD Kulana, pa tuh yukwiya Israel ac Judah. Tuh pa inge nga akkalemye nu selos lah elos ac sun ongoiya. Elos sifacna use ma inge nu faclos mweyen elos orekma koluk. Elos akkasrkusrakyeyu ke sripen elos orek kisa nu sel Baal.”
17And the Lord of hosts that planted thee, hath pronounced evil against thee: for the evils of the house of Israel, and the house of Juda, which they have done to themselves, to provoke me, offering sacrifice to Baalim.
18LEUM GOD El akkalemye nu sik ke nunak sulallal ma mwet lokoalok luk elos oru lainyu.
18But thou, O Lord, hast shewn me, and I have known: then thou shewedst me their doings.
19Nga oana soko sheep fusr ma tia etu lah ac utukla in anwuki — nga tiana etu lah pwapa koluk lalos uh ma nu sik. Elos fahk, “Lela kut in pakiya sak soko uh ke srakna moul. Kut in uniya tuh in wangin mwet sifil esamul.”
19And I was as a meek lamb, that is carried to be a victim: and I knew not that they had devised counsels against me, saying: Let us put wood on his bread, and cut him off from the land of the living, and let his name be remembered no more.
20Na nga pre ac fahk, “O LEUM GOD Kulana, nununku lom uh suwohs. Kom srike ac etu nunak ac insien mwet. Nga filiyuwot nu inpoum, ouinge lela nga in liye ke kom ac oru foloksak nu sin mwet inge.”
20But thou, O Lord of Sabaoth, who judgest justly, and triest the reins and hearts, let me see thy revenge on them: for to thee I have revealed my cause.
21Mukul Anathoth elos lungse nga in anwuki, ac elos fahkma nu sik lah elos ac uniyuwi nga fin tia tui in kaskas Inen LEUM GOD .
21Therefore thus saith the Lord to the men of Anathoth, who seek thy life, and say: Thou shalt not prophesy in the name of the Lord, and thou shalt not die in our hands.
22Ouinge LEUM GOD Kulana El fahk, “Nga ac kalyaelos! Mukul fusr natulos ac fah anwuki ke mweun, ac tulik natulos ac fah misa ke masrinsral.
22Therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts: Behold I will visit upon them: and their young men shall die by the sword, their sons and their daughters shall die by famine.
23Nga oakiya pacl in ongoiya se tari nu fin mwet Anathoth, ac ke pacl sac tuku, wangin sie selos fah moul.”
23And there shall be no remains of them: for I will bring in evil upon the men of Anathoth, the year of their visitation.
