1Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
1เพราะฉะนั้น เมื่อเราได้รับความชอบธรรมโดยความเชื่อแล้ว เราจึงมีสันติสุขกับพระเจ้า โดยทางพระเยซูคริสต์ องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าของเรา
2through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.
2โดยทางพระองค์ เราได้เข้าถึงพระคุณนี้ด้วยความเชื่อ และยืนมั่นอยู่ในพระคุณนี้ เราชื่นชมยินดีเพราะหวังในพระสิริของพระเจ้า
3Not only that, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance;
3ไม่เพียงเท่านั้น แต่เรายังชื่นชมยินดีในความทุกข์ยากของเราด้วย เพราะรู้ว่า ความทุกข์ยากทำให้เกิดความอดทน
4perseverance, character; and character, hope.
4ความอดทนทำให้เกิดลักษณะนิสัยที่ผ่านการพิสูจน์แล้ว และลักษณะนิสัยที่ผ่านการพิสูจน์แล้วทำให้เกิดความหวัง
5And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us.
5ความหวังนี้ไม่ทำให้เราผิดหวัง เพราะความรักของพระเจ้าได้หลั่งลงในใจของเรา ผ่านพระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์ที่พระองค์ประทานแก่เรา
6For at just the right time, while we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.
6เพราะขณะที่เรายังอ่อนแอ พระคริสต์ก็ตายเพื่อคนอธรรมในเวลาที่เหมาะสม
7Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die.
7แทบจะไม่มีใครยอมตายเพื่อคนชอบธรรม แม้อาจมีบางคนกล้าตายเพื่อคนดี
8But God proves His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
8แต่พระเจ้าทรงแสดงความรักของพระองค์ที่มีต่อเรา คือขณะที่เรายังเป็นคนบาป พระคริสต์ก็ตายเพื่อเรา
9Therefore, since we have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from wrath through Him!
9ยิ่งกว่านั้น ในเมื่อบัดนี้เราได้รับความชอบธรรมโดยโลหิตของพระองค์ เราก็จะได้รับความรอดจากความโกรธของพระเจ้าโดยทางพระองค์
10For if, when we were enemies of God, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life!
10เพราะถ้าขณะที่เรายังเป็นศัตรู เราได้คืนดีกับพระเจ้าโดยความตายของพระบุตรของพระองค์ ยิ่งกว่านั้น เมื่อเราคืนดีกับพระเจ้าแล้ว เราก็จะได้รับความรอดโดยชีวิตของพระองค์
11Not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.
11ไม่เพียงเท่านั้น แต่เรายังชื่นชมยินดีในพระเจ้า โดยทางพระเยซูคริสต์ องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าของเรา และบัดนี้เราได้รับการคืนดีโดยทางพระองค์
12Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, so also death was passed on to all men, because all sinned.
12เพราะฉะนั้น บาปเข้ามาในโลกโดยมนุษย์คนเดียว และความตายเข้ามาโดยบาป เช่นนั้นความตายจึงแผ่ไปถึงมนุษย์ทุกคน เพราะทุกคนทำบาป
13For sin was in the world before the law was given; but sin is not taken into account when there is no law.
13ก่อนมีธรรมบัญญัติ บาปก็มีอยู่ในโลก แต่เมื่อไม่มีธรรมบัญญัติ บาปก็ไม่ถูกนับเป็นความผิด
14Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those who did not sin in the way that Adam transgressed. He is a pattern of the One to come.
14ถึงอย่างนั้น ความตายก็ครอบครองตั้งแต่อาดัมจนถึงโมเสส แม้เหนือคนที่ไม่ได้ทำบาปแบบเดียวกับการไม่เชื่อฟังของอาดัม ผู้เป็นแบบของผู้ที่จะมา
15But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many!
15แต่ของประทานที่มอบให้เปล่าไม่เหมือนกับการล่วงละเมิด เพราะถ้าการล่วงละเมิดของคนคนเดียวทำให้คนจำนวนมากตาย พระคุณของพระเจ้าและของประทานที่มาทางพระคุณของมนุษย์คนเดียว คือพระเยซูคริสต์ ก็ยิ่งล้นเหลือมาถึงคนจำนวนมาก
16Again, the gift is not like the result of the one man’s sin: The judgment that followed one sin brought condemnation, but the gift that followed many trespasses brought justification.
16ของประทานนี้ก็ไม่เหมือนผลจากการที่คนคนเดียวทำบาป เพราะการพิพากษาที่มาจากคนคนเดียวนำไปสู่การลงโทษ แต่ของประทานที่มอบให้เปล่าซึ่งมาหลังการล่วงละเมิดมากมาย นำไปสู่การได้รับความชอบธรรม
17For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive an abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!
17เพราะถ้าการล่วงละเมิดของคนคนเดียวทำให้ความตายครอบครองโดยคนคนเดียว ยิ่งกว่านั้น คนที่ได้รับพระคุณอย่างล้นเหลือและได้รับของประทานแห่งความชอบธรรม จะครอบครองในชีวิตโดยคนคนเดียว คือพระเยซูคริสต์
18So then, just as one trespass brought condemnation for all men, so also one act of righteousness brought justification and life for all men.
18ดังนั้น เช่นเดียวกับที่การล่วงละเมิดครั้งเดียวทำให้มนุษย์ทุกคนถูกลงโทษ การกระทำอันชอบธรรมครั้งเดียวก็ทำให้มนุษย์ทุกคนได้รับความชอบธรรมที่นำไปสู่ชีวิต
19For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.
19เพราะเช่นเดียวกับที่การไม่เชื่อฟังของมนุษย์คนเดียวทำให้คนจำนวนมากเป็นคนบาป การเชื่อฟังของคนคนเดียวก็จะทำให้คนจำนวนมากเป็นคนชอบธรรม
20The law came in so that the trespass would increase; but where sin increased, grace increased all the more,
20ธรรมบัญญัติเข้ามา เพื่อให้การล่วงละเมิดเพิ่มมากขึ้น แต่ที่ใดบาปเพิ่มมากขึ้น พระคุณก็ยิ่งล้นเหลือมากขึ้นไปอีก
21so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
21เพื่อว่า เช่นเดียวกับที่บาปครอบครองโดยความตาย พระคุณก็จะครอบครองโดยความชอบธรรม และนำไปสู่ชีวิตนิรันดร์ โดยทางพระเยซูคริสต์ องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าของเรา
