1I will exalt You, O LORD, for You have lifted me up and have not allowed my foes to rejoice over me.
1主よ、私はあなたをあがめる。あなたが私を引き上げ、 敵が私のことで喜ぶのをお許しにならなかったからだ。
2O LORD my God, I cried to You for help, and You healed me.
2主よ、私の神よ、私はあなたに叫び求め、 あなたは私を癒やしてくださった。
3O LORD, You pulled me up from Sheol; You spared me from descending into the Pit.
3主よ、あなたは私の魂をよみ から引き上げ、 私が穴に下らないよう、命を保ってくださった。
4Sing to the LORD, O you His saints, and praise His holy name.
4主の聖徒たちよ、主にほめ歌を歌え。 その聖なる御名に感謝をささげよ。
5For His anger is fleeting, but His favor lasts a lifetime. Weeping may stay the night, but joy comes in the morning.
5主の怒りはほんの一瞬であるが、 その好意は生涯続くからである。 夜には涙が宿っても、 朝には喜びが来る。
6In prosperity I said, “I will never be shaken.”
6私としては、栄えているときに言った。 「私は決して揺るがされることはない」と。
7O LORD, You favored me; You made my mountain stand strong. When You hid Your face, I was dismayed.
7主よ、あなたが私に好意を示されたとき、私の山を堅く立たせてくださった。 しかし、あなたが御顔を隠されたとき、私は動揺した。
8To You, O LORD, I called, and I begged my Lord for mercy:
8主よ、私はあなたに叫び求めた。 主に願い求めた。
9“What gain is there in my bloodshed, in my descent to the Pit? Will the dust praise You? Will it proclaim Your faithfulness?
9「私が穴に下るなら、私の破滅に何の益があるだろうか。 ちりがあなたを賛美するだろうか。 それがあなたの真理を告げ知らせるだろうか。
10Hear me, O LORD, and have mercy; O LORD, be my helper.”
10主よ、聞いて、私をあわれんでください。 主よ、私の助け主となってください。」
11You turned my mourning into dancing; You peeled off my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,
11あなたは私の嘆きを踊りに変えてくださった。 私の荒布を脱がせ、喜びをまとわせてくださった。
12that my heart may sing Your praises and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks forever.
12それは、私の心があなたにほめ歌を歌い、黙っていないためだ。 主よ、私の神よ。私はとこしえにあなたに感謝をささげる。
