Kadede Kap (Pohnpeian New Testament and Psalms)
1Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
1KOMAIL jeri kan peiki on me wia komail ada pan Kaun o, pwe i me pun.
2“Honor your father and mother” (which is the first commandment with a promise),
2Kakaki jam om o in om, iei tapin kujoned, me inaupa mia,
3“that it may go well with you and that you may have a long life on the earth.”
3Pwe koe en injenemau o pil maur warai nin jappa.
4Fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath; instead, bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
4Komail jam akan der kamakar mal noumail jeri kan, kakair irail ada ni kaian mau o panau on Kaun o.
5Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear and sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ.
5Komail ladu kan en oke omail jaumaj akan ni pali uduk ni majak o rerer o pil ni tiak en karakarak en monion omail dueta on Krijtuj.
6And do this not only to please them while they are watching, but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart.
6Kaidin janjal mon aramaj eta, pwen konekon re ’rail, a en dueta ladu en Krijtuj, me kin pereperen wiawia kupur en Kot jan monion omail.
7Serve with good will, as to the Lord and not to men,
7O komail en papa mau, pwe on Kaun o, a kaidin on aramaj akan.
8because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good he does, whether he is slave or free.
8Pwe komail aja, me mau kot, me amen pan wiada, Kaun pan katini on i jota lipilipil ij i, ma ladu de me maioda amen.
9And masters, do the same for your slaves. Give up your use of threats, because you know that He who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favoritism with Him.
9O komail jaumaj akan en wia dueta on irail, o der jakone irail, pwe komail aja, me arail o pil omail Jaumaj kotikot nanlan, o a jota kotin lipilipil aramaj amen.
10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.
10Ikmuri ri ai kan komail kelaileki Kaun o ni a manaman.
11Put on the full armor of God, so that you can make your stand against the devil’s schemes.
11Purion tatan mauin karoj en Kot, pwe komail en kak kelail palian tewil a widiwidin kan.
12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world’s darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
12Pwe kaidin uduk o nta, me kitail en pei on, a on jaupeidi o manaman akan, o on jaumaj en jappa kan, me kin kakaunda nan rotorot wet, o on kaun nenin en lan akan.
13Therefore take up the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you will be able to stand your ground, and having done everything, to stand.
13Ari, pweki mepukat komail en ale tatan mauin karoj en Kot, pwe komail en kak kelail ni ran jued, o kajinenda murin omail kapwaiadar meakaroj.
14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness arrayed,
14Komail ari kajinenda, luke pamail en katenetenki melel o pereki pere pan maramara me pun.
15and with your feet fitted with the readiness of the gospel of peace.
15O na omail en kitekit pena, pwen onop on wa jili ronamau en popol.
16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
16A pil eu pan ko on mepukat: Komail ale perepa en pojon, pwen kakun kila katieu kijiniai en me jued o.
17And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
17Komail pil ale lijorop en kamaur o kodlaj en Nen, me majan en Kot.
18Pray in the Spirit at all times, with every kind of prayer and petition. To this end, stay alert with all perseverance in your prayers for all the saints.
18O podidi on kapakap o wia poekipoeki. Nidinidiki Nen ni meakaroj. O majamajan, o poden kapakapaki jaraui kan karoj.
19Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will boldly make known the mystery of the gospel,
19O kapakapa kin ia, pwe i en nil meledok o au ai en jar a pajan ai ainar en kaweweda me rir en ronamau.
20for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it fearlessly, as I should.
20Me nai jaunpadakepa, me jalidier, pwe i en kelail on padapadaki, duen me kon on.
21Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful servant in the Lord, will tell you everything, so that you also may know about me and what I am doing.
21A pwe komail en aja ir ai kan, o me i kin wiada, ri atail kompok Tikikuj o papa lelapok en Kaun o, pan padaki on komail meakaroj.
22I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that you may know about us, and that he may encourage your hearts.
22I me i kadarala, pwe komail en ajadar ir at akan, o pwe i en kamait monion omail.
23Peace to the brothers and love with faith from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
