1Deliver me, LORD, from evil men. Preserve me from violent men:
1Liberigu min, ho Eternulo, de malbona homo, Gardu min kontraŭ perfortulo;
2those who devise mischief in their hearts. They continually gather themselves together for war.
2Kontraŭ tiuj, kiuj elpensas malbonon en la koro, Ĉiutage kaŭzas militojn;
3They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent. Viper’s poison is under their lips. Selah.
3Kiuj akrigas sian langon, kiel serpento; Veneno de vipuro estas sub iliaj lipoj. Sela.
4LORD, keep me from the hands of the wicked. Preserve me from the violent men who have determined to trip my feet.
4Gardu min, ho Eternulo, kontraŭ la manoj de malvirtuloj, Gardu min kontraŭ perfortuloj, Kiuj intencas renversi miajn paŝojn.
5The proud have hidden a snare for me, they have spread the cords of a net by the path. They have set traps for me. Selah.
5Fieruloj kaŝis kaptilon por mi kaj ŝnurojn, Ili etendis reton ĉe la vojo, implikilon ili metis por mi. Sela.
6I said to the LORD, “You are my God.” Listen to the cry of my petitions, LORD.
6Mi diris al la Eternulo: Vi estas mia Dio; Atentu, ho Eternulo, la voĉon de mia petego.
7LORD, the Lord, the strength of my salvation, you have covered my head in the day of battle.
7Ho Eternulo, mia Sinjoro, forto de mia savo, Vi ŝirmas mian kapon en la tago de batalo.
8LORD, don’t grant the desires of the wicked. Don’t let their evil plans succeed, or they will become proud. Selah.
8Ne donu, ho Eternulo, al malvirtulo lian dezirataĵon, Lian intencon ne efektivigu, ke ili ne fieriĝu. Sela.
9As for the head of those who surround me, let the mischief of their own lips cover them.
9La veneno de miaj ĉirkaŭantoj, La malicaĵo de iliaj lipoj kovru ilin.
10Let burning coals fall on them. Let them be thrown into the fire, into miry pits, from where they never rise.
10Falu sur ilin brulantaj karboj; Ili ĵetiĝu en fajron, En abismojn, ke ili ne leviĝu.
11An evil speaker won’t be established on the earth. Evil will hunt the violent man to overthrow him.
11Kalumnianto ne staros forte sur la tero; Perfortulon la malbono entiros en pereon.
12I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and justice for the needy.
12Mi scias, ke la Eternulo defendos la aferon de mizerulo, La rajton de malriĉuloj.
13Surely the righteous will give thanks to your name. The upright will dwell in your presence.
13Kaj virtuloj ja gloros Vian nomon; Piuloj restos antaŭ Via vizaĝo.
