1Чујте реч коју говори Господ за вас, синови Израиљеви, за све племе које сам извео из земље мисирске, говорећи:
1Hear this word that the LORD hath spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up out of the land of Egypt, saying:
2Само вас познах између свих племена земаљских, зато ћу вас походити за сва безакоња ваша.
2You only have I known of all the families of the earth; therefore I will visit upon you all your iniquities.
3Хоће ли двојица ићи заједно, ако се не састану?
3Will two walk together, except they have agreed?
4Хоће ли рикнути лав у шуми, ако нема лова? Хоће ли лавић пустити глас свој из пећине своје, ако не ухвати шта?
4Will a lion roar in the forest, when he hath no prey? Will a young lion give forth his voice out of his den, if he have taken nothing?
5Хоће ли птица пасти у мрежу на земљу, ако нема замке? Хоће ли се дигнути мрежа са земље, ако се ништа не ухвати?
5Will a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where there is no lure for it? Will a snare spring up from the ground, and have taken nothing at all?
6Хоће ли труба трубити по граду, а народ да не дотрчи уплашен? Хоће ли бити несрећа у граду, а Господ да је не учини?
6Shall the horn be blown in a city, and the people not tremble? Shall evil befall a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
7Јер Господ Господ не чини ништа не откривши тајне своје слугама својим пророцима.
7For the Lord GOD will do nothing, but He revealeth His counsel unto His servants the prophets.
8Кад лав рикне, ко се неће бојати? Кад Господ рече, ко неће пророковати?
8The lion hath roared, who will not fear? The Lord GOD hath spoken, who can but prophesy?
9Огласите по дворовима азотским и по дворовима у земљи мисирској, и реците: Скупите се на горе самаријске и видите велике нереде у њој, и насиље у њој.
9Proclaim it upon the palaces at Ashdod, and upon the palaces in the land of Egypt, and say: 'Assemble yourselves upon the mountains of Samaria, and behold the great confusions therein, and the oppressions in the midst thereof.'
10Не знају чинити право, говори Господ, сабирају благо насиљем и грабежом у дворима својим.
10For they know not to do right, saith the LORD, who store up violence and robbery in their palaces.
11Зато овако вели Господ Господ: Непријатељ је око земље и обориће ти силу твоју, и оплениће се дворови твоји.
11Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD: An adversary, even round about the land! And he shall bring down thy strength from thee, and thy palaces shall be spoiled.
12Овако вели Господ: Као кад пастир истргне из уста лаву две ноге или крај од уха, тако ће се истргнути синови Израиљеви који седе у Самарији на углу од одра и накрај постеље.
12Thus saith the LORD: As the shepherd rescueth out of the mouth of the lion two legs, or a piece of an ear, so shall the children of Israel that dwell in Samaria escape with the corner of a couch, and the leg of a bed.
13Чујте и засведочите у дому Јаковљевом, говори Господ Господ Бог над војскама.
13Hear ye, and testify against the house of Jacob, saith the Lord GOD, the God of hosts.
14Кад походим Израиља за грехе његове, тада ћу походити и олтаре ветиљске, и одбиће се рогови олтару и пашће на земљу.
14For in the day that I shall visit the transgressions of Israel upon him, I will also punish the altars of Beth-el, and the horns of the altar shall be cut off, and fall to the ground.
15И ударићу кућу зимну и летњу кућу, и пропашће куће од слонове кости, и нестаће великих кућа, говори Господ.
15And I will smite the winter-house with the summer-house; and the houses of ivory shall perish, and the great houses shall have an end, saith the LORD.
