Kadede Kap (Pohnpeian New Testament and Psalms)
World English Bible
1ARI, da me Juj akan paieki mon me tei kan de da kadepan jirkomjaij?
1Then what advantage does the Jew have? Or what is the profit of circumcision?
2O me toto, ni jon karoj; iet kaieu: Majan en Kot akan kanikid on irail.
2Much in every way! Because first of all, they were entrusted with the revelations of God.
3A ma akai jopojon a pil menda? Pwe ar jopojon pan kak kawela kalanan en Kot?
3For what if some were without faith? Will their lack of faith nullify the faithfulness of God?
4O jo! Pwe Kot udan melel, a aramaj karoj me likam duen a intinidier: Ir eta me pun ni ar majan akan, o komui pan kotin poedi ni ar pakadeikada.
4May it never be! Yes, let God be found true, but every man a liar. As it is written, “that you might be justified in your words, and might prevail when you come into judgment.”
5A ma atail japun kaindinda pun en Kot, da me kitail en inda? Dadue, Kot me pil japun, pweki a kotin onion kida? I kin lokaia ni tiak en aramaj.
5But if our unrighteousness commends the righteousness of God, what will we say? Is God unrighteous who inflicts wrath? I speak like men do.
6O jo! Pwe ma iduen, Kot pan kak kadeikada jappa?
6May it never be! For then how will God judge the world?
7Pwe ma melel en Kot pwai kida ai likam kan, pwen kalinanada i, menda i pan pakadeikada, dene dipan amen nai?
7For if the truth of God through my lie abounded to his glory, why am I also still judged as a sinner?
8A jo mau on duen at indand jued, pwe akai kin inda, me dene kit kin padaki wei: Kitail en wiada me jued, pwen kareda me mau? Nan arail kalokolok me pun.
8Why not (as we are slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say), “Let’s do evil, that good may come?” Those who say so are justly condemned.
9Iaduen atail pai mau jan arail? Kaidin, pwe je kadededar, me Juj o men Krik karoj mi pan dip,
9What then? Are we better than they? No, in no way. For we previously warned both Jews and Greeks that they are all under sin.
10Duen a intinidier: Jota me pun amen, jota amen.
10As it is written, “There is no one righteous; no, not one.
11Jota me lolekon amen, jota me kin rapaki Kot.
11There is no one who understands. There is no one who seeks after God.
12Karoj me japunlar, irail wiaki eu mamalar, jota meamen, me kin wiada me mau, jota amen.
12They have all turned away. They have together become unprofitable. There is no one who does good, no, not so much as one.”
13Tapin wor arail me rajon joujou eu, me jaikenta jarep pena, lo arail me re liliapaki, wini en kamela mimi ni oton ni arail;
13“Their throat is an open tomb. With their tongues they have used deceit.” “The poison of vipers is under their lips.”
14Au ar me dir en lalaue o katik,
14“Their mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.”
15Na arail me marara on kamela aramaj;
15“Their feet are swift to shed blood.
16Nan al arail me dir en jued omauk;
16Destruction and misery are in their ways.
17A al en popol me re jaja;
17The way of peace, they haven’t known.”
18Re jota kin majak Kot.
18“There is no fear of God before their eyes.”
19A kitail ajaer, me kapun o lolok on, me kin papa kapun pwe au karoj en japaimokid o jappa pon lodi on kadeik en Kot.
19Now we know that whatever things the law says, it speaks to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be closed, and all the world may be brought under the judgment of God.
20Ari mon Kot jota uduk me pan pun kila a wiawia kapun, pwe kapun me dip kadiarokidar;
20Because by the works of the law, no flesh will be justified in his sight; for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.
21A anjau wet pun en Kot janjaledar likin kapun o kadedekidar kapun o jaukop akan.
21But now apart from the law, a righteousness of God has been revealed, being testified by the law and the prophets;
22A pun en Kot me pwili jan pojon Iejuj Krijtuj, ap lel on karoj me pojon.
22even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ to all and on all those who believe. For there is no distinction,
23Pwe jota lipilipil, karoj me wiadar dip o jota kak konodi linan en Kot.
23for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;
24Irail pan pun kila a mak japan, pweki en Krijtuj Iejuj a kotin dore kitail lar,
24being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,
25Me Kot kotin kajanjaledar ni wiala mol en kalanan ni pojon nt’a, pwen kajanjaleda a pun nia kotin lapwada dip en maj akan, miier pan papadake en Kot.
25whom God sent to be an atoning sacrifice through faith in his blood, for a demonstration of his righteousness through the passing over of prior sins, in God’s forbearance;
26A anjau wet a kotin kadededa a pun. Ieteten, me pein i me pun, ap pan kotin kapunala Karoj me pojon Iejuj.
26to demonstrate his righteousness at this present time, that he might himself be just and the justifier of him who has faith in Jesus.
27Ari, ia men juaiki? A lokidokilar! Ren kapun da? En wiawia kan? Kaidin, a ren kapun en pojon.
27Where then is the boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? Of works? No, but by a law of faith.
28Ari, iet me je inda: Aramaj en pun kila pojon a kaidin wiawia en kapun kan.
28We maintain therefore that a man is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.
29De Kot en men Juj akan arail Kot eta? Kaidin pil Kot en men liki kan? Ei melel, pil en men liki!
29Or is God the God of Jews only? Isn’t he the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also,
30Ari, Kot me ta men, me kin kapun kila me jirkomjaij akan pweki pojon, pil jojirkomjaij akan pweki pojon.
30since indeed there is one God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith.
31laduen, kitail kin tiakedi kapun pweki pojon? O jo! pwe kitail kin kapwaiada kapun o.
31Do we then nullify the law through faith? May it never be! No, we establish the law.
