Kadede Kap (Pohnpeian New Testament and Psalms)
Berean Standard Bible
1I anjau o Iejuj kotila nan mat en korn ni ran en japat, a sapwelim a a tounpadak kan men manadar, rap doluna jan wan korn o Kankan.
1At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath. His disciples were hungry and began to pick the heads of grain and eat them.
2Parijar lau kilaner mepwukat, rap patoan on i: Majani, japwilim omui tounpadak kan kin wiada, me jota pun, en wiaui ni ran en japat.
2When the Pharisees saw this, they said to Him, “Look, Your disciples are doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath.”
3A kotin majani on irail: kumail jota doropwe, me Dawid wiadar ni a o ian akan men manadar?
3Jesus replied, “Have you not read what David did when he and his companions were hungry?
4Duen a pedelon on nan im en Kot o Kankan prot en kajanjal, me jota pun, I o ian akan en kan, pwe jamero akan eta.
4He entered the house of God, and he and his companions ate the consecrated bread, which was not lawful for them to eat, but only for the priests.
5De komail jota wadoker nan kapun o, duen jamero akan ar kin kaupali ran en japat nan im en kaudok ni ran en japat, ap jota dip arail?
5Or haven’t you read in the Law that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple break the Sabbath and yet are innocent?
6A I indai on komail, i, me laude jan im en kaudok, mi waja kij et.
6But I tell you that something greater than the temple is here.
7A ma komail pan aja wewen kajoi pot et: I kin polauleki kadek a kaidin mairon ijij, komail jota pan kadeikada me makelekel akan.
7If only you had known the meaning of ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the innocent.
8Pwe nain aramaj pil udan Kaun en japat.
8For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.”
9A kotila jan waja o, ap kotilon on nan ar jinakoke.
9Moving on from there, Jesus entered their synagogue,
10A kilan, aramaj amen mia, me pa a motorlar. Irail idok re a indada: Me pun, en kakelailada ni ran en japat? Pwe ren kadipa i.
10and a man with a withered hand was there. In order to accuse Jesus, they asked Him, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”
11I ari kotin majani on irail: Ij aramaj nan pun omail, me na jip amen mia, ma a pupedi on nan por ni ran en japat, a jo pan poridi on, kida jan?
11He replied, “If one of you has a sheep and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will he not take hold of it and lift it out?
12A iaduen aramaj amen jota kajampwal kaualap jan jip amen? I me aramaj amen kak wia kida me mau ni ran en japat.
12How much more valuable is a man than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.”
13I ap kotin majani on aramaj o: Kapa wei pa om! I ari kapa wei, ap maular dueta pali teio.
13Then Jesus said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” So he stretched it out, and it was restored to full use, just like the other.
14Parijar ap pedoi jan o kapukapun pena, duen ar pan kamatala i.
14But the Pharisees went out and plotted how they might kill Jesus.
15Iejuj lao mani met, ap kotila jan waja o, a pokon kalaimun idauenla i; i ari kakelailadar irail karoj.
15Aware of this, Jesus withdrew from that place. Large crowds followed Him, and He healed them all,
16O majani on irail, ren der kalok jili i.
16warning them not to make Him known.
17Pwen pwaida, me lokido ren jaukop Iejaia, me majani:
17This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah:
18Kilan, i ai ladu, me I piladar, o kompokepa i, me I kin polaule kida. I pan aude kin i Nen i, o a pan kajale on men liki kan duen kadeik o.
18“Here is My Servant, whom I have chosen, My beloved, in whom My soul delights. I will put My Spirit on Him, and He will proclaim justice to the nations.
19Nan a jota pan akamai de weriwer, o jota amen me pan ron nil a pon al akan,
19He will not quarrel or cry out; no one will hear His voice in the streets.
20A jota pan katip pajan alek luet o, o a jota pan kakundi wik inkinkon o, lao a pan kaimwijokala kadeik o.
20A bruised reed He will not break, and a smoldering wick He will not extinguish, till He leads justice to victory.
21O men liki kun pan kaporoporoki mar a.
21In His name the nations will put their hope.”
22Me tewil ti poa men, me majkun o loton ap wijike don i; I ari kakelailada i, a me majkun o loton ap lokaia o kilan waja.
22Then a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute was brought to Jesus, and He healed the man so that he could speak and see.
23Aramaj karoj ap malamalauak kila indada: Kaidin i japwilim en Dawid?
23The crowds were astounded and asked, “Could this be the Son of David?”
24A Parijar akan lao ronadar, rap indada: Nan jota, me lap en kaujeki wei tewil akan, Peelje pup eta, jaumaj en tewil akan.
24But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, “Only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, does this man drive out demons.”
25I ari ani ar lamelam majani on irail: Wei karoj, ma tou a kan pan u pena nan pun ar, a pan ola, o ma toun kanim de toun im eu pan u pena nan pun ar, a jota pan pwaida.
25Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be laid waste, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.
26O ma Jatan pan kauje wei Jatan, a pan u on pein i, a iaduen a wei pan kak pwaida?
26If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand?
27Ma I kin kaujeki wei Peeljepup tewil akan, a ij me noumail jeri kan kin kauje kin irail? Irail ari pan omail jaunkapun.
27And if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons drive them out? So then, they will be your judges.
28A ma I kaujaki wei Nen en Kot tewil akan, nan wein Kot lel on komail er.
28But if I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.
29De iaduen, ij me pan kak kolon on nan im en me kelail amen, kulia jan a kapwa, ma a jo jaliedi maj me kelail o? A ap pan kak kulia jan a kapwa.
29Or again, how can anyone enter a strong man’s house and steal his possessions, unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can plunder his house.
30Meamen me jota ian ia, iei me palian ia; o me jota kin dolun penan ia, iei me kin kajapoka pajan.
30He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters.
31I me Nai indai on komail, dip karoj o lalaue pan kak lapwa jan aramaj, a lalaue on Nen jota pan lapwa jan aramaj.
31Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.
32O me pan lalaue Nain aramaj, a pan lapwa jan i; a me pan lalaue Nen jaraui, a jota pan lapwa jan i, jota nan muei met pil jota nan muei kokodo.
32Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the one to come.
33Padukedi tuka mau pot, a wa pan mau; de padukedi tuka jued apot, a wa pan jued. Pwe tuka kin diarok kida wa.
33Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad; for a tree is known by its fruit.
34Wan jerpent komail, iaduen komail kak lokaia mau, pwe komail me jued? Pwe aua kin lokaia jan nan audepan monion o.
34You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks.
35Aramaj mau kin kida me mau jan nan pai mau en monion i, a aramaj jued kin kida me jued jan nan pai jued en monion i.
35The good man brings good things out of his good store of treasure, and the evil man brings evil things out of his evil store of treasure.
36A I indai on komail, lokaia mal karoj, me aramaj inda, pan puk on ir ni ran en kadeik o.
36But I tell you that men will give an account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken.
37Pwe jan ni om kajokajoi koe pan kapun kila, o jan ni om kajokajoi koe pan pakadeikada.
37For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”
38Jaunkawewe o Parijar kui ap japen i indada: Jaunpadak, je men kilan kilel eu jan re omui
38Then some of the scribes and Pharisees said to Him, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from You.”
39A i me kotin japen majani on irail: Di jued o kamal o kin rapaki kilel eu, a jota kilel eu, me pan janjal on irail, pwe kilel en jaukop Iona eta.
39Jesus replied, “A wicked and adulterous generation demands a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.
40Pwe duen Iona a mimi nan kaped en mam kalaimun amen ran jilu o pon jili pon, iduen Nain aramaj pan mimi nan monion en jappa ran jilu o pon jili pon.
40For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
41Ol en Niniwekan pan u on di wet ni kadeik lapalap o pan kadeikada, pwe re kalula ni ar ronadar padak en Iona, a kilan, me laude jan Iona mi met.
41The men of Nineveh will stand at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now One greater than Jonah is here.
42Li nanmarki en pali air amen pan u on di wet ni kadeik lapalap o pan kadeikada; pwe a pwurado jan ni imwin jappa, pwen ron lolekon en Jalomo. A kilan me laude jan Jalomo mi met.
42The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and now One greater than Solomon is here.
43Nen jaut lao kowei jan ren aramaj o, a kin tanata jili nan jap tan akan, rapaki wajan kamol, a jota, me a diarada.
43When an unclean spirit comes out of a man, it passes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it.
44I ap kin inda: I pan purelon nan im ai, me i pedoi janer. A lau puredo, a diar me a tan, kokok, o kapwater.
44Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ On its return, it finds the house vacant, swept clean, and put in order.
45I ari mi koieila, ale on i nen ijimen jued jan pein i; irail Iau pedelon on lole, rap kaukauson ia, a aramaj pan jued jan maj. Iduen a pan wiaui on di jued wet
45Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and dwell there; and the final plight of that man is worse than the first. So will it be with this wicked generation.”
46A ni a kotin majani pokon o mepwukat, kilan, in a o ri a ol akan u liki, re men lokaia on i.
46While Jesus was still speaking to the crowds, His mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to Him.
47Amen ap potoan on i: Re kotin mani, in ar o ri ar ol akan mimi liki o men lokaia on ir.
47Someone told Him, “Look, Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to You.”
48A a kotin japen majani on, me kaireki on i: Ij in ai o ir ri ai ol akan?
48But Jesus replied, “Who is My mother, and who are My brothers?”
49Ap kotin kapawei lim a pon japwilim a tounpadak kan majani: Kilan, in ai o ri ai ol pukat!
49Pointing to His disciples, He said, “Here are My mother and My brothers.
50Pwe meamen, me kin wia kupur en Jam ai, me kotikot nanlan, nan i me ri ai ol, o ri
50For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.”
