Kadede Kap (Pohnpeian New Testament and Psalms)
Berean Standard Bible
1IEJUJ lao kotin daulul, ap majani aramaj amen me majkun jan a ipwidi.
1Now as Jesus was passing by, He saw a man blind from birth,
2Japwilim a tounpadak kan ap idok re a potoan on: Rapi, ij me wiadar dip, i de jam a in a, pweki a ipwidi majkun?
2and His disciples asked Him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”
3Iejuj kotin japen: Kaidik i me wiadar dip, pil kaidik in a de jam a, a pwe en Kot a wiawia kan en kajanjal kida i.
3Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but this happened so that the works of God would be displayed in him.
4I en kapwaiada wiawia kan en me kadar ia do arain anjaun ran, pwe pon pan kodo, i anjau jolar amen kak dodok.
4While it is daytime, we must do the works of Him who sent Me. Night is coming, when no one can work.
5Arain ai mi jappa, nai marain en jappa.
5While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”
6A lao kotin majanier met, ap likidi nani pwel, wiakida pwel madak irijki maj a.
6When Jesus had said this, He spit on the ground, made some mud, and applied it to the man’s eyes.
7Majani on i: Kolan pil en Jiloa (iet wewe: Pakadarado), opinok ia! I ari kola opinok, ap puredo kilanada waja.
7Then He told him, “Go, wash in the Pool of Siloam” (which means “Sent”). So the man went and washed, and came back seeing.
8A men imp a kan, o me ian kilanadar, me a men poekipoek amen maj o, rap indada: Kaidik i, me wonon poekipoeki?
8At this, his neighbors and those who had formerly seen him begging began to ask, “Isn’t this the man who used to sit and beg?”
9Akai me inda: I met; a akai me inda: Likamata i, a pein i indada: Nai i.
9Some claimed that he was, but others said, “No, he just looks like him.” But the man kept saying, “I am the one.”
10Irail ari indan i: Iaduen por en maj om akan a kapad pajan?
10“How then were your eyes opened?” they asked.
11A japen indada: Aramaj amen me adaneki Iejuj, me wiadar pwel madak, irijki maj ai, majani on ia: Kolan pil en Jiloa, opinok ia! I ari kola opinok, ap kilanada waja.
11He answered, “The man they call Jesus made some mud and anointed my eyes, and He told me to go to Siloam and wash. So I went and washed and received my sight.”
12Irail ap idok re a: Ia i? A japen: I jaja.
12“Where is He?” they asked. “I do not know,” he answered.
13Irail ap kalualan ren Parijar akan me majkun maj.
13They brought to the Pharisees the man who had been blind.
14Ari, ni ran en japat, me Iejuj kotin wiadar pwel, kapad pajan por en maj a kan.
14Now the day on which Jesus had made the mud and opened his eyes was a Sabbath.
15Parijar akan pil idok duen me a kilan kida waja. A japen irail: A ki on pwel ni por en maj ai, i ap opinok, nai ari kilanada waja.
15So the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. The man answered, “He put mud on my eyes, and I washed, and now I can see.”
16Parijar kai ap inda: Aramaj men et kaidik men ren Kot, aki a jota apwali ran en japat. Akai indada: Daduen, aramaj dipan amen kak wia kilel pukat? Irail ari liak toror pajan.
16Because of this, some of the Pharisees said, “This man is not from God, for He does not keep the Sabbath.” But others said, “How can a sinful man perform such signs?” And there was division among them.
17Irail pil kalelapok ren me majkun o: Da me koe lamelame duen i? Pwe a kapad pajan maj Om? A japen: Jaukop amen i.
17So once again they asked the man who had been blind, “What do you say about Him, since it was your eyes He opened?” “He is a prophet,” the man replied.
18Men Juj oko ap jota kamelele, me a ipwiki wei majkun, ap kilanada waja. Irail lao ekeredo jam o in en me kilanada waja.
18The Jews still did not believe that the man had been blind and had received his sight until they summoned his parents
19Irail idok re ’ra: Nouma ol men et, me komail indinda, me a ipwiki wei majkun? Iaduen a narada waja anjau wet?
19and asked, “Is this your son, the one you say was born blind? So how is it that he can now see?”
20Jam a in a japen ir indada: Je aja, me nait ol et, me ipwiki wei majkun.
20His parents answered, “We know he is our son, and we know he was born blind.
21A je jaja duen a narada waja o me kapad pajan por en maj a. A malar, kainoma re a, a pan pein jakaraki i.
21But how he can now see or who opened his eyes, we do not know. Ask him. He is old enough to speak for himself.”
22Jam o in a inda mepukat, pweki ar majak Juj oko. Pwe Juj oko inauki pena, ma meamen pan kadede me i Krijtuj a pan lokidokila jan nan jinakoke.
22His parents said this because they were afraid of the Jews. For the Jews had already determined that anyone who confessed Jesus as the Christ would be put out of the synagogue.
23I me jam o in a indada kida: A malar, kainoma re a.
23That was why his parents said, “He is old enough. Ask him.”
24Irail ap eker aramaj majkun kariapak indai on i: Wauneki Kot, je aja, me aramaj men et me dipan amen,
24So a second time they called for the man who had been blind and said, “Give glory to God! We know that this man is a sinner.”
25A japen ir indada: I jaja, ma i me dipan amen de jo. I eta me i aja, me nai me majkun maj o, i ap potoan naradar waja.
25He answered, “Whether He is a sinner I do not know. There is one thing I do know: I was blind, but now I see!”
26Irail ap pil idok re a: Da me a wiai on uk? Iaduen a kapad pajan maj om?
26“What did He do to you?” they asked. “How did He open your eyes?”
27A japen irail: I indai on komail er, a komail jota ron? Da me komail pil men ronki? Komail pil pan a tounpadak ala?
27He replied, “I already told you, and you did not listen. Why do you want to hear it again? Do you also want to become His disciples?”
28Irail kaurureki indada: A tounpadak amen koe, a kit tounpadak en Mojej akan.
28Then they heaped insults on him and said, “You are His disciple; we are disciples of Moses.
29Kit aja, me Kot majani on Mojej. A lap o je jaja, waja a ko jan ia.
29We know that God spoke to Moses, but we do not know where this man is from.”
30Aramaj o japen indan irail: Meid kapuriamui! I me kapad pajan maj ai kat, a komail jaja, waja a koti jan ia.
30“That is remarkable indeed!” the man said. “You do not know where He is from, and yet He opened my eyes.
31Kitail aja, me Kot jota kin mani me dipan akan. A meamen, me ian Kot, o dadaurata kupur a, iei me a kin kotin mani,
31We know that God does not listen to sinners, but He does listen to the one who worships Him and does His will.
32Jan maj kokodo jota me ronadar, me meamen kapad pajan maj en me ipwiki wei majkun.
32Never before has anyone heard of opening the eyes of a man born blind.
33Ma men et jota me ren Kot, a jota pan kak wia meakot.
33If this man were not from God, He could do no such thing.”
34Irail japen indan i: Koe me ipwiki wei dip akan a koe ap padaki on kit? Irail ari kajela i.
34They replied, “You were born in utter sin, and you are instructing us?” And they threw him out.
35Iejuj lao kotin manidar, me re kajela i, a lao majani i, ap kotin majani on i: Koe kin pojon Nain Kot?
35When Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, He found the man and said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man ?”
36A japen potoan on: Main, ij i pwe i en pojon i?
36“Who is He, Sir?” he replied. “Tell me so that I may believe in Him.”
37Iejuj kotin majani on i: Koe me kilan i. A iet i, me kajokajoi on uk.
37“You have already seen Him,” Jesus answered. “He is the One speaking with you.”
38A japen i: Main, i pojonlar, i ari kaudok on i.
38“Lord, I believe,” he said. And he worshiped Jesus.
39Iejuj kotin majani: I kodon kadeik nan jappa et, pwe me jo kilan waja, en kilanada, a me kilan waja, en majkunla.
39Then Jesus declared, “For judgment I have come into this world, so that the blind may see and those who see may become blind.”
40A Parijar akan, me mi re a, ronadar a majan pukat, re ap peidok re a: Da, kit me pil majkun?
40Some of the Pharisees who were with Him heard this, and they asked Him, “Are we blind too?”
41Iejuj kotin majani on irail: Ma komail majkun, jota pan dip omail. A komail indada: Je kilekilan waja, iei me omail dip pan mimietaki.
41“If you were blind,” Jesus replied, “you would not be guilty of sin. But since you claim you can see, your guilt remains.”
