Kadede Kap (Pohnpeian New Testament and Psalms)
Douay-Rheims Bible, American Edition (1899)
1Pon wonu pon mon paja Iejuj kotilan Petanien, waja Lajaruj me melar, kaujon ia, me Iejuj kotin kamauredar jan ren me melar akan.
1Jesus therefore, six days before the pasch, came to Bethania, where Lazarus had been dead, whom Jesus raised to life.
2Irail ari kaonopada konot, pwe a en kotin kajipon re’rail; Marta papa, a Lajaruj amen irail me ian I kotikot ni tepel.
2And they made him a supper there: and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that were at table with him.
3Maria ap wado paun en men kajampwalia keiedi on ni aluwilu en Jejus o limwieki a pwilikila po en men kei.
3Mary therefore took a pound of ointment of right spikenard, of great price, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.
4Iudaj Ijkariot, amen ren japwelim a tounpadak kan, nain Jimon, me panala I, ap indada:
4Then one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, he that was about to betray him, said:
5Da men kei wet jota netilar, kareda denar jilepuki, ap nek on jamma kan?
5Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?
6Kaidik a pok on me jamma kan, me a idokki met, a pweki lipirap amen i, o jaunkanikid en moni, wewa moni, me aramaj kidar.
6Now he said this, not because he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and having the purse, carried the things that were put therein.
7Iejuj ap kotin majani: Deri mokidi on i! Pwe a kaunopadan ran en ai pan jaredi.
7Jesus therefore said: Let her alone, that she may keep it against the day of my burial.
8Pwe me jamma kan kin potopot re omail, a nai jota jota kin potopot re omail.
8For the poor you have always with you; but me you have not always.
9Juj oko me toto ari ajaer, me a kot waja o, irail kodo pweki Iejuj o pil, pwen kilan Lajaruj, me a kotin kamauradar jan ren me melar akan.
9A great multitude therefore of the Jews knew that he was there; and they came, not for Jesus’ sake only, but that they might see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead.
10Jamero lapalap akan pil raparapaki, en pil kamela Lajaruj.
10But the chief priests thought to kill Lazarus also:
11Pwe Juj oko toto kola o pojon Iejuj pweki i.
11Because many of the Jews, by reason of him, went away, and believed in Jesus.
12Mandan ran o aramaj toto, me toun ian kamadip o, lao ron, me Iejuj pan kotilan Ierujalem,
12And on the next day, a great multitude that was to come to the festival day, when they had heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
13Ap paledi ran tuka kan o koieila tu on I, nijinijida: Ojiana! Meid iajanai me kotido ni mar en Kaun o Nanmwarki en Israel!
13Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried: Hosanna, blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord, the king of Israel.
14A Iejuj lao kotin majani ejel pul amen, ap kaipokedi poa, duen a intinidier:
14And Jesus found a young ass, and sat upon it, as it is written:
15Der majak nain Jion jeripein! Kilan om Nanmarki kotido, kaipokedi pon nain ejel amen.
15Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy king cometh, sitting on an ass’s colt.
16A japwilim a tounpadak kan jota madan weweki mepukat. A Iejuj lao linanlar, irail ap tamanda mepukat, me indinidier duen i, o me ir wiai on i mepukat.
16These things his disciples did not know at the first; but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things to him.
17A pokon o, me ian i ni a kotin molipei Lajaruj jan nan joujou o, ni a kotin kamauredar i jan ren me melar akan, kadede i!
17The multitude therefore gave testimony, which was with him, when he called Lazarus out of the grave, and raised him from the dead.
18Iei me aramaj kokiieilan i, pwe irail ronadar, me a kotin wiadar kilel wet.
18For which reason also the people came to meet him, because they heard that he had done this miracle.
19Parijar oko ap indada nan pun ar: Komail kilan, me komail jota kak wia meakot. Kilan, toun jap akan idauenla i.
19The Pharisees therefore said among themselves: Do you see that we prevail nothing? behold, the whole world is gone after him.
20Akai men Krik ian irail, me koda don kamadip o, pwen kaudok.
20Now there were certain Gentiles among them, who came up to adore on the festival day.
21Mepukat ko don Pilipuj, men Petjaida en Kaliliia, poeki re a indada: Main, je men udial Iejuj.
21These therefore came to Philip, who was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying: Sir, we would see Jesus.
22Pilipuj ap kodo kaireki Andreaj, a Andreaj o Pilipuj kaireki Iejuj.
22Philip cometh, and telleth Andrew. Again Andrew and Philip told Jesus.
23A Iejuj kotin japen irail majani: Anjau leler, me Nain aramaj pan kalinanla.
23But Jesus answered them, saying: The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.
24Melel, melel I indai on komail, ma wan korn jo moredi on nan pwel o mela, a pan kelepata, a ma a pan mela, a pan kaparapar wa toto.
24Amen, amen I say to you, unless the grain of wheat falling into the ground die,
25Me pokepoke maur i, pan jalonala; a me tounmeteki maur i pali pa, pan diarada maur joutuk.
25Itself remaineth alone. But if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world, keepeth it unto life eternal.
26Meamen papa ia, i en idauen ia! A waja I mi ia, i waja me papa ia, pan pil mi ia. Ma meamen papa ia, i me jam o pan kajapwilada.
26If any man minister to me, let him follow me; and where I am, there also shall my minister be. If any man minister to me, him will my Father honour.
27I ap lol olar, a da me I en inda? Jam kamaio wei jan ia anjau wet, ari jo, i me I koki don anjau wet.
27Now is my soul troubled. And what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour. But for this cause I came unto this hour.
28Jam, kalinanada mar omui! Nil eu ap peidido jan nanlan indada: I kalinanadaer, o I pan pil kalinanada.
28Father, glorify thy name. A voice therefore came from heaven: I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.
29A aramaj akan me u jili me ronadar, indada: A nanjapwe. A akai indada: Tounlan amen me kajoia on i.
29The multitude therefore that stood and heard, said that it thundered. Others said: An angel spoke to him.
30Iejuj kotin japen majani: Kaidik pweki nai, me nil wet wiauikier a pweki komail.
30Jesus answered, and said: This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes.
31Met anjau en kadeik en jappa wet. Met kaun en jappa et pan lokidokila.
31Now is the judgment of the world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
32A nai lao lanada jan jappa, I pan kainona don ia karoj.
32And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all things to myself.
33I me a kotin kokop kidar duen a pan kamatala.
33(Now this he said, signifying what death he should die.)
34Aramaj akan japen i: Je ronadar jan nan kapun o, me Krijtuj pan potopoteta, a iaduen, kom kajoiada, me Nain aramaj en kakauda. Ij Nain aramaj menet?
34The multitude answered him: We have heard out of the law, that Christ abideth for ever; and how sayest thou: The Son of man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of man?
35Iejuj ap kotin majani on irail: Marain mi re omail anjau kij. Weweid, ni anjau marain mi re omail, pwe rotorot ender kono komail edi. Pwe me kin weweid nan rotorot, kin jaja waja, me a ko on ia.
35Jesus therefore said to them: Yet a little while, the light is among you. Walk whilst you have the light, that the darkness overtake you not. And he that walketh in darkness, knoweth not whither he goeth.
36Pojon marain, ni a mimi re omail, pwe komail en jeri en marainla. Iejuj kotin majani mepukat, ap kotila karukila pein i jan irail.
36Whilst you have the light, believe in the light, that you may be the children of light. These things Jesus spoke; and he went away, and hid himself from them.
37A i me kotin wiadar kilel toto mo ’rail, ari jo, irail jota pojon i,
37And whereas he had done so many miracles before them, they believed not in him:
38Pwe kokop en jaukop Iejaia en pwaida, me a majani: Kaun o, ij me pojon at kajoi? O ij me lim en Kaun kajanjal on?
38That the saying of Isaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he said: Lord, who hath believed our hearing? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?
39Irail ari jota kak pojon, pwe Iejaia pil katitiki:
39Therefore they could not believe, because Isaias said again:
40A kotin karotonala maj arail o kakekaluakala monion arail, pwe ren jo kilanki maj arail, o ajaki monion arail, o wukila, o I en kakel ir ada.
40He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart, that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.
41Mepukat Iejaia majanier, ni a kilaner a linan o katitiki i.
41These things said Isaias, when he saw his glory, and spoke of him.
42Ari ren jaumaj lapalap me toto, me pojon i, a pweki Parijar akan re jota ponaja i, pwe ren der lokidokila jan nan jinakoke.
42However, many of the chief men also believed in him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, that they might not be cast out of the synagogue.
43Pwe re mauki konekon ren aramaj akan mon konekon ren Kot.
43For they loved the glory of men more than the glory of God.
44Iejuj kotin kapitie laudeda majani: Me pojon ia, kaidin nai, me a kin pojon, a me kadar ia dor.
44But Jesus cried, and said: He that believeth in me, doth not believe in me, but in him that sent me.
45A me kilan ia, a pil kilan, me kadar ia dor.
45And he that seeth me, seeth him that sent me.
46I kodon kamaraini jappa, pwe amen amen me pojon ia, ender mimieta nan rotorot.
46I am come a light into the world; that whosoever believeth in me, may not remain in darkness.
47A ma meamen ron ai padak kan, ap jota apapwali, I jota kin kadeikada i, pwe I jota kodon kadeikada jappa, a pwen kamaurida jappa.
47And if any man hear my words, and keep them not, I do not judge him: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
48Me kaje ia la o jo oke ai padak kan, nan kadeikapa mia: Ai padak, me I kida, i me pan kadeikada i ni ran nik o.
48He that despiseth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him; the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
49Pwe I jota padaki wei jan pein nai. A Jam, me kadar ia dor, i me ki on ia er kujoned eu, me I en inda o padakieki.
49For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father who sent me, he gave me commandment what I should say, and what I should speak.
50O I aja, maur joutuk a kujoned o. Ari, karoj me I padaki wei, I kin padaki duen Jam majani on ia.
50And I know that his commandment is life everlasting. The things therefore that I speak, even as the Father said unto me, so do I speak.
