Berean Standard Bible
1NAN momodijou en Antiokien jaukop o jaunpadak kai mia. let akan: Parnapaj, o Jimeon me pil ad a Niker, o Lujiuj men Kirene, o Manaen, me ian monjap Erodej apwalidar, o Jauluj.
1Now in the church at Antioch there were prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen (who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch), and Saul.
2A ni arail papa on Kaun o, o kaijejol, Nen jaraui ap kotin majani: Katorore jan on ia Parnapaj o Jauluj, pwen wia dok eu, me I ki on ira er!
2While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”
3Irail ap kaijejol o kapakap o kidan po ’ra pa ar, re ap kadar ira wei.
3And after they had fasted and prayed, they laid their hands on them and sent them off.
4Ira ari me pakadara kila Nen jaraui ap kotila Jeloijia, waja ira kereda pon jop pot tanalan Jipern.
4So Barnabas and Saul, sent forth by the Holy Spirit, went down to Seleucia and sailed from there to Cyprus.
5Ira lao mi Jalamij, ap padaki duen majan en Kot nan jinakoke en Juj akan. A Ioanej papa men pil ian ira.
5When they arrived at Salamis, they proclaimed the word of God in the Jewish synagogues. And John was with them as their helper.
6Irail lao kakan jili nan dake lel kanim Papoj, rap diaradar ol amen, me kin kati ani, jaukop likam amen, kijan men Juj, ad a Par Iejuj,
6They traveled through the whole island as far as Paphos, where they found a Jewish sorcerer and false prophet named Bar-Jesus,
7Me kin mi ren Jerkiuj Pauluj ol lelapok amen. I me ekere don i Parnapaj o Jauluj, pwe a men roneron majan en Kot.
7an attendant of the proconsul, Sergius Paulus. The proconsul, a man of intelligence, summoned Barnabas and Saul because he wanted to hear the word of God.
8A Elimaj widinak (pwe i wewe en ad a) palian ira, pwen kapure jan jaumaj ni pojon o.
8But Elymas the sorcerer (for that is what his name means) opposed them and tried to turn the proconsul from the faith.
9Jauluj, me pil adaneki Pauluj, dir en Nen jaraui, kankakil i,
9Then Saul, who was also called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked directly at Elymas
10Indada: Koe meid dir en widin o mejued, o nain tewil o me kailonki me pun karoj. Koe jota pan dukedi jan palian al inen en Kaun akan.
10and said, “O child of the devil and enemy of all righteousness, you are full of all kinds of deceit and trickery! Will you never stop perverting the straight ways of the Lord?
11A kilan met, lim en Kaun o mi po om. A koe pan majkun, ap jolar kilan katipin anjau kij. Ari, a madan ediedelar o rotalar; I ap raparapaki jili men ale pa a, en kaweid i.
11Now look, the hand of the Lord is against you, and for a time you will be blind and unable to see the light of the sun.” Immediately mist and darkness came over him, and he groped about, seeking someone to lead him by the hand.
12Jaumaj lao majani me wiauier, ap pojonlar, pwe a puriamuiki padak en Kaun o.
12When the proconsul saw what had happened, he believed, for he was astonished at the teaching about the Lord.
13Pauluj o a warok kai ap kotila jan Papoj tanatan ko don Perke nan wein Pampilia. A Ioanej muei jan ira, purelan Ierujalem.
13After setting sail from Paphos, Paul and his companions came to Perga in Pamphylia, where John left them to return to Jerusalem.
14A ira majalewei jan Perke o kotilan Antiokien en Pijidien o kotilon on nan jinakoke ni ran en japat kaipokedi.
14And from Perga, they traveled inland to Pisidian Antioch, where they entered the synagogue on the Sabbath and sat down.
15A lao nikier ar dondoropwe kapun o jaukop akan jaumaj en jinakoke kai ap ilakilan ira majani: Ri (at) oko ma majan en panau nan pot on aramaj pukat mi re oma, koma ari kida!
15After the reading from the Law and the Prophets, the synagogue leaders sent word to them: “Brothers, if you have a word of encouragement for the people, please speak.”
16Pauluj ap kotida ololeki lim a majani: Ol en Ijrael komail o me kin majak Kot, komail en ron!
16Paul stood up, motioned with his hand, and began to speak: “Men of Israel and you Gentiles who fear God, listen to me!
17Kot en men Ijrael pukat, me kotin piladar jam atail akan o kapakapaiada aramaj oko ni ar kaikairu jili Akipten, o lim a manaman, me a kotin kalua kin irail jan waja o.
17The God of the people of Israel chose our fathers. He made them into a great people during their stay in Egypt, and with an uplifted arm He led them out of that land.
18A impan jaunpar paeijok a kotin apapwali irail nan jap tan.
18He endured their conduct for about forty years in the wilderness.
19Kadekadeo a lao kotin koko jan wei iju nan Kanaan, ap kotin nek on irail jap arail.
19And having vanquished seven nations in Canaan, He gave their land to His people as an inheritance.
20O murin met a kotiki on irail jaunkapun kan irerokedo par papuki limeijok lel on jaukop Jamuel.
20All this took about 450 years. After this, God gave them judges until the time of Samuel the prophet.
21A jan ni anjau o re inon ion nanmarki amen. Kot ap kotiki on ir. Jaul nain Kij, ol en kadaudok en Peniamin amen, jaunpar paeijok.
21Then the people asked for a king, and God gave them forty years under Saul son of Kish, from the tribe of Benjamin.
22A lao kajapokelar, ap kotiki on irail Dawid, pwen nanmarki, me a pil kotin kileledier majani: I diaradar Dawid nain leje, ol amen duen inon eti monion i, me pan wiada injen ai karoj.
22After removing Saul, He raised up David as their king and testified about him: ‘I have found David son of Jesse a man after My own heart; he will carry out My will in its entirety.’
23Jan nan kadaudok a Kot kotikido Iejuj, pwen Jaunkamaur pan men Ijrael, duen japwilim a inau.
23From the descendants of this man, God has brought to Israel the Savior Jesus, as He promised.
24Murin Ioanej a kotin padaki on men Ijrael karoj duen paptaij en kalula mon a kotido.
24Before the arrival of Jesus, John preached a baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel.
25A Ioanej lao kapwaiada japwilim a dodok, ap kotin majani: Ij me komail lamelame me nai? Kaidin nai i. A kilan amen kotido, kijin jal en japwilim a jut i jowar en lapwada.
25As John was completing his course, he said, ‘Who do you suppose I am? I am not that One. But He is coming after me whose sandals I am not worthy to untie.’
26Komail ol o ri ai kan, komail kadaudok en Apraam, o meamen me majak Kot re omail, padak en kamaur pot et pakadara don komail.
26Brothers, children of Abraham, and you Gentiles who fear God, it is to us that this message of salvation has been sent.
27Pwe me kaukaujon Ierujalem o ar jaumaj akan kapwaiada kokop en jaukop akan, me kin wadawad ni japat akan karoj, ni ar kadeikada i, pweki re jaja i.
27The people of Jerusalem and their rulers did not recognize Jesus, yet in condemning Him they fulfilled the words of the prophets that are read every Sabbath.
28A jota me re diaradar, me a kak kamata kila. Ari jo, re poeki ren Pilatuj, me a en kamatala i.
28And though they found no ground for a death sentence, they asked Pilate to have Him executed.
29Irail lao kapwaiada karoj, me intinkidi i, re ap kidi jan I nin tuka o kidi i nan joujou o.
29When they had carried out all that was written about Him, they took Him down from the tree and laid Him in a tomb.
30A Kot me kotin kaiajada I jan ren me melar akan.
30But God raised Him from the dead,
31O ran toto me a kotin pwara don me ian i kotilan Ierujalem jan Kalilaa, me japwilim a jaunkadede on aramaj akan.
31and for many days He was seen by those who had accompanied Him from Galilee to Jerusalem. They are now His witnesses to our people.
32A kit padaki on komail ronamau duen inau on jam atail akan,
32And now we proclaim to you the good news: What God promised our fathers
33Me Kot kotin kapwai on kitail nairail jeri kan, ni a kotin kaiajadar lejuj duen a intinidier nan pjalm kariau: Koe nai Ol, I kanaitik uk adar ran wet.
33He has fulfilled for us, their children, by raising up Jesus. As it is written in the second Psalm: ‘You are My Son; today I have become Your Father.’
34A duen a kotin kaiajada i jan ren me melar akan, pwen der mor pajan, i me a kotin majanieki met: I pan ki on komail pai melel en Dawid akan.
34In fact, God raised Him from the dead, never to see decay. As He has said: ‘I will give you the holy and sure blessings promised to David.’
35I me a pil majanieki ekij waja: Re jota pan kotin mueid on, japwilim ar Jaraui o pan mor pajan.
35So also, He says in another Psalm: ‘You will not let Your Holy One see decay.’
36Pwe Dawid lao kapwaiada a papa on kupur en Kot ni a anjau, ap jaimokelar, a jaredier impan jam a ko, ap mor pajan.
36For when David had served God’s purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep. His body was buried with his fathers and saw decay.
37A i me Kot kotin kaiajadar, nan a jota kotin mor pajan.
37But the One whom God raised from the dead did not see decay.
38Ari ri ai kan, komail aja, me lapwa pan dip akan ren men et kin kaloki on komail.
38Therefore let it be known to you, brothers, that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you.
39A me pan pojon i, nan i me punalar jan meakaroj, me komail jota kak pun kila kapun en Mojej.
39Through Him everyone who believes is justified from everything you could not be justified from by the law of Moses.
40Ari, komail kalaka, pwe a depa pwai on komail, me jaukop akan majanier:
40Watch out, then, that what was spoken by the prophets does not happen to you:
41Kilan, komail me kin lalaue, puriamuiki o joredi, pwe I pan wia dodok eu ni omail anjau, me komail jota pan kamelele, ma amen pan kajokajoi on komail due.
41‘Look, you scoffers, wonder and perish! For I am doing a work in your days that you would never believe, even if someone told you.’”
42Irail lao pedoi jan ap poekipoeki, kajoi pukat en kalok on irail ni ran en japat kokodo.
42As Paul and Barnabas were leaving the synagogue, the people urged them to continue this message on the next Sabbath.
43A jaraui lao nikier, men Juj o Projelit lelapok toto idauenla Pauluj o Parnapaj, me mamajani on irail o panaui irail, ren pod id i on mak en Kot.
43After the synagogue was dismissed, many of the Jews and devout converts to Judaism followed Paul and Barnabas, who spoke to them and urged them to continue in the grace of God.
44A ni japat kokodo karoj toun kanim o pokon pena, pwen ron majan en Kot.
44On the following Sabbath, nearly the whole city gathered to hear the word of the Lord.
45A Juj akan lao kilaner pokon o, ap pepeirinki o lidere meakan, me Pauluj kaweweda; re palian o lalaue.
45But when the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy, and they blasphemously contradicted what Paul was saying.
46A Pauluj o Parnapaj ap jo majak katitiki: Majan en Kot en loki don komail maj, a pweki omail kaje jan, o wia kin komail jowar on maur joutuk, kilan, je jope wei on men liki kan.
46Then Paul and Barnabas answered them boldly: “It was necessary to speak the word of God to you first. But since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy of eternal life, we now turn to the Gentiles.
47Pwe iet duen me Kaun o kotin majani on kit: Nai me kajapwil uk adar, pwen marain pan men liki kan, pwe koe en kamaur jili lei jap karoj.
47For this is what the Lord has commanded us: ‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, to bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’”
48Men liki kan lao ronadar met, ap peren kidar, o kapina majan en Kot o karoj, me kileledi on maur joutuk, pojonlar.
48When the Gentiles heard this, they rejoiced and glorified the word of the Lord, and all who were appointed for eternal life believed.
49A majan en Kaun o lolok jili nan wei kan karoj.
49And the word of the Lord spread throughout that region.
50A Juj oko kamakarada li jaupeidi lelapok o jaumaj en kanim kan, o kapei on Pauluj o Parnapaj aramaj o kajapoke ir jan nan jap arail,
50The Jews, however, incited the religious women of prominence and the leading men of the city. They stirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas and drove them out of their district.
51A ira jipede jan ni aluwilu ar pwel, pwen kadede on irail, ap kotilan Ikonien.
51So they shook the dust off their feet in protest against them and went to Iconium.
52A tounpadak kan me dir kila peren o Nen jaraui.
52And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.
