1و بعد از وبا، خداوند موسی و العازاربن هارون کاهن را خطاب کرده، گفت:
1After the plague, the LORD spoke to Moses and to Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, saying,
2«شماره تمامی بنی‌اسرائیل را برحسب خاندان آبای ایشان، از بیست ساله و بالاتر، یعنی جمیع کسانی را که از اسرائیل به جنگ بیرون می‌روند، بگیرید.»
2“Take a census of all the congregation of the children of Israel, from twenty years old and upward, by their fathers’ houses, all who are able to go out to war in Israel.”
3پس موسی و العازار کاهن ایشان را درعربات موآب، نزد اردن در مقابل اریحا خطاب کرده، گفتند:
3Moses and Eleazar the priest spoke with them in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying,
4«قوم را از بیست ساله و بالاتربشمارید، چنانکه خداوند موسی و بنی‌اسرائیل را که از زمین مصر بیرون آمدند، امر فرموده بود.»
4“Take a census, from twenty years old and upward, as the LORD commanded Moses and the children of Israel.” These are those who came out of the land of Egypt.
5روبین نخست زاده اسرائیل: بنی روبین: ازحنوک، قبیله حنوکیان. و از فلو، قبیله فلوئیان.
5Reuben, the firstborn of Israel; the sons of Reuben: of Hanoch, the family of the Hanochites; of Pallu, the family of the Palluites;
6واز حصرون، قبیله حصرونیان. و از کرمی، قبیله کرمیان.
6of Hezron, the family of the Hezronites; of Carmi, the family of the Carmites.
7اینانند قبایل روبینیان و شمرده شدگان ایشان، چهل و سه هزار و هفتصد و سی نفر بودند.
7These are the families of the Reubenites; and those who were counted of them were forty-three thousand seven hundred thirty.
8و بنی فلو: الیاب.
8The son of Pallu: Eliab.
9و بنی الیاب: نموئیل و داتان و ابیرام. اینانند داتان و ابیرام که خوانده‌شدگان جماعت بوده، با موسی و هارون در جمعیت قورح مخاصمه کردند، چون با خداوند مخاصمه نمودند،
9The sons of Eliab: Nemuel, Dathan, and Abiram. These are that Dathan and Abiram who were called by the congregation, who rebelled against Moses and against Aaron in the company of Korah when they rebelled against the LORD;
10و زمین دهان خود را گشوده، ایشان رابا قورح فرو برد، هنگامی که آن گروه مردند وآتش، آن دویست و پنجاه نفر را سوزانیده، عبرت گشتند.
10and the earth opened its mouth, and swallowed them up together with Korah when that company died; at the time the fire devoured two hundred fifty men, and they became a sign.
11لکن پسران قورح نمردند.
11Notwithstanding, the sons of Korah didn’t die.
12و بنی شمعون برحسب قبایل ایشان: ازنموئیل، قبیله نموئیلیان و از یامین، قبیله یامینیان و از یاکین، قبیله یاکینیان.
12The sons of Simeon after their families: of Nemuel, the family of the Nemuelites; of Jamin, the family of the Jaminites; of Jachin, the family of the Jachinites;
13و از زارح قبیله زارحیان و از شاول قبیله شاولیان.
13of Zerah, the family of the Zerahites; of Shaul, the family of the Shaulites.
14اینانندقبایل شمعونیان: بیست و دو هزار و دویست نفر.
14These are the families of the Simeonites, twenty-two thousand two hundred.
15و بنی جاد برحسب قبایل ایشان: از صفون قبیله صفونیان و از حجی قبیله حجیان و از شونی قبیله شونیان.
15The sons of Gad after their families: of Zephon, the family of the Zephonites; of Haggi, the family of the Haggites; of Shuni, the family of the Shunites;
16و از ازنی قبیله ازنیان و از عیری، قبیله عیریان.
16of Ozni, the family of the Oznites; of Eri, the family of the Erites;
17و از ارود قبیله ارودیان و ازارئیلی قبیله ارئیلیان.
17of Arod, the family of the Arodites; of Areli, the family of the Arelites.
18اینانند قبایل بنی جادبرحسب شماره ایشان، چهل هزار و پانصد نفر.
18These are the families of the sons of Gad according to those who were counted of them, forty thousand and five hundred.
19و بنی یهودا عیر و اونان. و عیر و اونان درزمین کنعان مردند.
19The sons of Judah: Er and Onan. Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan.
20و بنی یهودا برحسب قبایل ایشان اینانند: از شیله قبیله شیلئیان و از فارص قبیله فارصیان و از زارح قبیله زارحیان.
20The sons of Judah after their families were: of Shelah, the family of the Shelanites; of Perez, the family of the Perezites; of Zerah, the family of the Zerahites.
21وبنی فارص اینانند: از حصرون قبیله حصرونیان واز حامول قبیله حامولیان.
21The sons of Perez were: of Hezron, the family of the Hezronites; of Hamul, the family of the Hamulites.
22اینانند قبایل یهودابرحسب شمرده شدگان ایشان، هفتاد و شش هزارو پانصد نفر.
22These are the families of Judah according to those who were counted of them, seventy-six thousand five hundred.
23و بنی یساکار برحسب قبایل ایشان: از تولع قبیله تولعیان و از فوه قبیله فوئیان.
23The sons of Issachar after their families: of Tola, the family of the Tolaites; of Puvah, the family of the Punites;
24و از یاشوب قبیله یاشوبیان و از شمرون قبیله شمرونیان.
24of Jashub, the family of the Jashubites; of Shimron, the family of the Shimronites.
25اینانند قبایل یساکار برحسب شمرده شدگان ایشان، شصت و چهار هزار و سیصد نفر.
25These are the families of Issachar according to those who were counted of them, sixty-four thousand three hundred.
26و بنی زبولون برحسب قبایل ایشان: از ساردقبیله ساردیان و از ایلون قبیله ایلونیان و ازیحلیئیل قبیله یحلیئیلیان.
26The sons of Zebulun after their families: of Sered, the family of the Seredites; of Elon, the family of the Elonites; of Jahleel, the family of the Jahleelites.
27اینانند قبایل زبولونیان برحسب شمرده شدگان ایشان، شصت هزار و پانصد نفر.
27These are the families of the Zebulunites according to those who were counted of them, sixty thousand five hundred.
28و بنی یوسف برحسب قبایل ایشان: منسی و افرایم.
28The sons of Joseph after their families: Manasseh and Ephraim.
29و بنی منسی: از ماکیر قبیله ماکیریان وماکیر جلعاد را آورد و از جلعاد قبیله جلعادیان.
29The sons of Manasseh: of Machir, the family of the Machirites; and Machir became the father of Gilead; of Gilead, the family of the Gileadites.
30اینانند بنی جلعاد: از ایعزر قبیله ایعزریان، ازحالق قبیله حالقیان.
30These are the sons of Gilead: of Iezer, the family of the Iezerites; of Helek, the family of the Helekites;
31از اسریئیل قبیله اسریئیلیان، از شکیم قبیله شکیمیان.
31and Asriel, the family of the Asrielites; and Shechem, the family of the Shechemites;
32ازشمیداع قبیله شمیداعیان و از حافر قبیله حافریان.
32and Shemida, the family of the Shemidaites; and Hepher, the family of the Hepherites.
33و صلحفاد بن حافر را پسری نبودلیکن دختران داشت و نامهای دختران صلحفاد محله و نوعه و حجله و ملکه و ترصه.
33Zelophehad the son of Hepher had no sons, but daughters: and the names of the daughters of Zelophehad were Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.
34اینانندقبایل منسی و شمرده شدگان ایشان، پنجاه ودوهزار و هفتصد نفر بودند.
34These are the families of Manasseh. Those who were counted of them were fifty-two thousand seven hundred.
35و اینانند بنی افرایم برحسب قبایل ایشان: از شوتالح قبیله شوتالحیان و از باکر قبیله باکریان و از تاحن قبیله تاحنیان.
35These are the sons of Ephraim after their families: of Shuthelah, the family of the Shuthelahites; of Becher, the family of the Becherites; of Tahan, the family of the Tahanites.
36و بنی شوتالح اینانند: از عیران قبیله عیرانیان.
36These are the sons of Shuthelah: of Eran, the family of the Eranites.
37اینانند قبایل بنی افرایم برحسب شمرده شدگان ایشان، سی و دو هزار وپانصد نفر. و بنی یوسف برحسب قبایل ایشان اینانند.
37These are the families of the sons of Ephraim according to those who were counted of them, thirty-two thousand five hundred. These are the sons of Joseph after their families.
38و بنی بنیامین برحسب قبایل ایشان: از بالع قبیله بالعیان از اشبیل قبیله اشبیلیان و از احیرام قبیله احیرامیان.
38The sons of Benjamin after their families: of Bela, the family of the Belaites; of Ashbel, the family of the Ashbelites; of Ahiram, the family of the Ahiramites;
39از شفوفام قبیله شفوفامیان ازحوفام قبیله حوفامیان.
39of Shephupham, the family of the Shuphamites; of Hupham, the family of the Huphamites.
40و بنی بالع: ارد و نعمان. از ارد قبیله اردیان و از نعمان قبیله نعمانیان.
40The sons of Bela were Ard and Naaman: the family of the Ardites; and of Naaman, the family of the Naamites.
41اینانند بنی بنیامین برحسب قبایل ایشان وشمرده شدگان ایشان، چهل و پنج هزار و ششصدنفر بودند.
41These are the sons of Benjamin after their families; and those who were counted of them were forty-five thousand six hundred.
42اینانند بنی دان برحسب قبایل ایشان: ازشوحام قبیله شوحامیان. اینانند قبایل دان برحسب قبایل ایشان.
42These are the sons of Dan after their families: of Shuham, the family of the Shuhamites. These are the families of Dan after their families.
43جمیع قبایل شوحامیان برحسب شمرده شدگان ایشان، شصت وچهارهزار و چهارصد نفر بودند.
43All the families of the Shuhamites, according to those who were counted of them, were sixty-four thousand four hundred.
44اینانند بنی اشیر برحسب قبایل ایشان: ازیمنه قبیله یمنئیان، از یشوی قبیله یشویان، ازبریعه قبیله بریعئیان،
44The sons of Asher after their families: of Imnah, the family of the Imnites; of Ishvi, the family of the Ishvites; of Beriah, the family of the Berites.
45از بنی بریعه، از حابر قبیله حابریان، از ملکیئیل قبیله ملکیئیلیان.
45Of the sons of Beriah: of Heber, the family of the Heberites; of Malchiel, the family of the Malchielites.
46و نام دختر اشیر، ساره بود.
46The name of the daughter of Asher was Serah.
47اینانند قبایل بنی اشیربرحسب شمرده شدگان ایشان، پنجاه و سه هزار وچهارصد نفر.
47These are the families of the sons of Asher according to those who were counted of them, fifty-three thousand four hundred.
48اینانند بنی نفتالی برحسب قبایل ایشان: ازیاحصئیل، قبیله یاحصئیلیان، از جونی قبیله جونیان.
48The sons of Naphtali after their families: of Jahzeel, the family of the Jahzeelites; of Guni, the family of the Gunites;
49از یصر قبیله یصریان از شلیم قبیله شلیمیان.
49of Jezer, the family of the Jezerites; of Shillem, the family of the Shillemites.
50اینانند قبایل نفتالی برحسب قبایل ایشان و شمرده شدگان ایشان، چهل و پنج هزار وچهارصد نفر بودند.
50These are the families of Naphtali according to their families; and those who were counted of them were forty-five thousand four hundred.
51اینانند شمرده شدگان بنی‌اسرائیل: ششصدو یکهزار و هفتصد و سی نفر.
51These are those who were counted of the children of Israel, six hundred one thousand seven hundred thirty.
52و خداوند موسی را خطاب کرده، گفت:
52The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
53«برای اینان برحسب شماره نامها، زمین برای ملکیت تقسیم بشود.
53“To these the land shall be divided for an inheritance according to the number of names.
54برای کثیر، نصیب او رازیاده کن و برای قلیل، نصیب او را کم نما، به هرکس برحسب شمرده شدگان او نصیبش داده شود.
54To the more you shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer you shall give the less inheritance. To everyone according to those who were counted of him shall his inheritance be given.
55لیکن زمین به قرعه تقسیم شود، و برحسب نامهای اسباط آبای خود در آن تصرف نمایند.
55Notwithstanding, the land shall be divided by lot. According to the names of the tribes of their fathers they shall inherit.
56موافق قرعه، ملک ایشان در میان کثیر و قلیل تقسیم شود.»
56According to the lot shall their inheritance be divided between the more and the fewer.”
57و اینانند شمرده شدگان لاوی برحسب قبایل ایشان: از جرشون قبیله جرشونیان، ازقهات قبیله قهاتیان، از مراری قبیله مراریان.
57These are those who were counted of the Levites after their families: of Gershon, the family of the Gershonites; of Kohath, the family of the Kohathites; of Merari, the family of the Merarites.
58اینانند قبایل لاویان: قبیله لبنیان و قبیله حبرونیان و قبیله محلیان و قبیله موشیان و قبیله قورحیان. اما قهات، عمرام را آورد.
58These are the families of Levi: the family of the Libnites, the family of the Hebronites, the family of the Mahlites, the family of the Mushites, and the family of the Korahites. Kohath became the father of Amram.
59و نام زن عمرام، یوکابد بود، دختر لاوی که برای لاوی درمصر زاییده شد و او برای عمرام، هارون و موسی و خواهر ایشان مریم را زایید.
59The name of Amram’s wife was Jochebed, the daughter of Levi, who was born to Levi in Egypt. She bore to Amram Aaron and Moses, and Miriam their sister.
60و برای هارون ناداب و ابیهو و العازار و ایتامار زاییده شدند.
60To Aaron were born Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.
61ناداب و ابیهو چون آتش غریبی به حضورخداوند گذرانیده بودند، مردند.
61Nadab and Abihu died when they offered strange fire before the LORD.
62وشمرده شدگان ایشان یعنی همه ذکوران از یک ماهه و بالاتر، بیست و سه هزار نفر بودند زیرا که ایشان در میان بنی‌اسرائیل شمرده نشدند، چونکه نصیبی در میان بنی‌اسرائیل به ایشان داده نشد.
62Those who were counted of them were twenty-three thousand, every male from a month old and upward; for they were not counted among the children of Israel, because there was no inheritance given them among the children of Israel.
63اینانند آنانی که موسی و العازار کاهن شمردند، وقتی که بنی‌اسرائیل را در عربات موآب نزد اردن در مقابل اریحا شمردند.
63These are those who were counted by Moses and Eleazar the priest, who counted the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho.
64و درمیان ایشان کسی نبود از آنانی که موسی و هارون کاهن، شمرده بودند وقتی که بنی‌اسرائیل را دربیابان سینا شمردند.
64But among these there was not a man of them who were counted by Moses and Aaron the priest, who counted the children of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai.
65زیرا خداوند درباره ایشان گفته بود که البته در بیابان خواهند مرد، پس از آنهایک مرد سوای کالیب بن یفنه و یوشع بن نون باقی نماند.
65For the LORD had said of them, “They shall surely die in the wilderness.” There was not a man left of them, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.
