Isaiah 24

Bible Mutal (Kosraean)
JPS Tanakh (Jewish Publication Society, 1917)
1LEUM GOD El ac fah kunausla faclu ac filiya in wanginla ma oan fac. El ac furalik fin acn uh ac akfahsryelik mwet fac.
1Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof.
2Mwet nukewa fah pulakin kain in ongoiya sefanna — mwet tol ac mwet uh, mwet kohs ac mwet kacto, mwet kuka ac mwet moli, mwet ngusr mani ac mwet sang mani, mwet kasrup ac mwet sukasrup.
2And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the creditor, so with the debtor.
3Faclu ac fah sikiyukla ac mokutkuti. LEUM GOD pa fahk ouinge, na ac orek oana ma El fahk.
3The earth shall be utterly emptied, and clean despoiled; for the LORD hath spoken this word.
4Faclu pulamlamla ac uli; faclu nufon ac munasla. Kewana faclu ac yen engyeng uh ac mwesri.
4The earth fainteth and fadeth away, the world faileth and fadeth away, the lofty people of the earth do fail.
5Mwet uh aktaekyala faclu ke elos kunausla ma sap lun God, ac ke elos siakos wuleang se su El orala in oan nwe tok.
5The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, violated the statute, broken the everlasting covenant.
6Ouinge God El selngawi faclu. Mwet faclu elos eis mwatan orekma lalos. Pueni na mwet moul lula.
6Therefore hath a curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are found guilty; therefore the inhabitants of the earth waste away, and men are left few.
7Ima in grape uh mwella, ac fahsr in lisr wain uh. Elos nukewa su engan meet, inge elos asor.
7The new wine faileth, the vine fadeth; all the merry-hearted do sigh.
8Wanginla pusren on kato ke harp ac drum.
8The mirth of tabrets ceaseth, the noise of them that rejoice endeth, the joy of the harp ceaseth.
9Wanginla on ac engan ke wain; emah uh mwen selos.
9They drink not wine with a song; strong drink is bitter to them that drink it.
10Ma nukewa fohsak in siti uh, ac lohm nukewa lakiyuki, mwet koluk in tia utyak.
10Broken down is the city of wasteness; every house is shut up, that none may come in.
11Mwet uh wowo fin inkanek uh ke sripen wanginla wain. Engan ac pwar wanginla na pwaye liki facl se inge.
11There is a crying in the streets amidst the wine; all joy is darkened, the mirth of the land is gone.
12Siti uh musalla, ac mutunpot we kunausyukla.
12In the city is left desolation, and the gate is smitten unto ruin.
13Ac fah pa inge ma ac sikyak nu ke mutunfacl nukewa fin faclu. Ac fah oana ke safla pacl in kosrani — wanginla fahko ke sak olive, ac grape nukewa kinkinla.
13For thus shall it be in the midst of the earth, among the peoples, as at the beating of an olive-tree, as at the gleanings when the vintage is done.
14Elos su painmoulla ac fah alullul ke engan. Elos su muta in mutunfacl roto ac fah fahk lupan fulatlana lun LEUM GOD ,
14Those yonder lift up their voice, they sing for joy; for the majesty of the LORD they shout from the sea:
15ac elos su muta in mutunfacl kutulap fah kaksakunul. Mwet su muta wekof uh fah kaksakin LEUM GOD lun Israel.
15'Therefore glorify ye the LORD in the regions of light, even the name of the LORD, the God of Israel, in the isles of the sea.'
16Liki acn loessulana faclu kut lohng pusren on in kaksakin God lun suwoswos. Tusruktu wangin finsrak luk! Foroti insiuk! Mwet kutasrik tia tui in orek kutasrik, ac sulallal lalos uh koluk liki na meet ah.
16From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs: 'Glory to the righteous.' But I say: I waste away, I waste away, woe is me! The treacherous deal treacherously; yea, the treacherous deal very treacherously.
17Porongeyu, mwet nukewa! Mwe aksangeng, luf loal, ac sruhf oan soanekowos.
17Terror, and the pit, and the trap, are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth.
18Kutena mwet su srike in kaingla liki mwe aksangeng inge ac fah putatla nu in luf loal, ac kutena su kaingla liki luf sac ac fah sruoh ke sie sruhf. Af upa ac fah kahkla liki kusrao, ac pwelung lun faclu fah kusrusryak.
18And it shall come to pass, that he who fleeth from the noise of the terror shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the trap; for the windows on high are opened, and the foundations of the earth do shake;
19Faclu fah srasrelik ac muliplipi, ac ikakelik.
19The earth is broken, broken down, the earth is crumbled in pieces, the earth trembleth and tottereth;
20Faclu sifacna fah tukulkul oana mwet sruhi se, wactot wactma oana sie lac lohm in sie paka. Faclu sringelik ke koluk la; ac fah ikori ac tiana sifil tuyak.
20The earth reeleth to and fro like a drunken man, and swayeth to and fro as a lodge; and the transgression thereof is heavy upon it, and it shall fall, and not rise again.
21Pacl se ac tuku ke LEUM GOD El ac kalyei ku lun acn lucng, ac mwet kol lun faclu.
21And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD will punish the host of the high heaven on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth.
22God El fah orani tokosra uh nu sie in iktokeni oana mwet kapir in sie luf loal. El fah kalelosi in presin nwe ke sun pacl in kalya nu selos.
22And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the dungeon, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be punished.
23Malem ac fah lohsrla, ac faht ac fah tia sifil kalem, mweyen LEUM GOD Kulana El ac fah tokosra. El fah leum in Jerusalem fin Eol Zion, ac mwet kol lun mwet uh ac fah liye wolana lal.
23Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed; for the LORD of hosts will reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before His elders shall be Glory.
