1Ouinge nga tuh sifacna sulela sik in tia sifilpa fahsrot nu yuruwos, tuh nga in tia akasorye kowos.
1So I made up my mind not to make another painful visit to you.
2For if I grieve you, who is left to cheer me but those whom I have grieved?
3Pa inge sripen nga tuh sim nu suwos meet ah — nga tia lungse fahsrot nu yuruwos ac aksupwaryeyuk sin mwet na ma fal in akenganyeyu. Tuh nga pula tari lah nga fin engan, na kowos nukewa wi pac engan.
3I wrote as I did so that on my arrival I would not be saddened by those who ought to make me rejoice. I had confidence in all of you, that you would share my joy.
4Ke nga tuh sim nu suwos, nga tuh inse asor ac supwarlana ac nga tung pac; tia tuh nga in akasorye kowos, a tuh kowos in ku in akilen lupan lungse luk nu suwos nukewa.
4For through many tears I wrote you out of great distress and anguish of heart, not to grieve you but to let you know how much I love you.
5Inge, fin oasr sie inmasrlowos su akasorye siena mwet, el tia oru nu sik, a nu suwos nukewa — ku sahp kutu na suwos. (Nga fahk ouinge mweyen nga tia lungse in upala nu sel.)
5Now if anyone has caused grief, he has not grieved me but all of you—to some degree, not to overstate it.
6The punishment imposed on him by the majority is sufficient for him.
7Na inge, kowos enenu in nunak munas nu sel ac akkeyal, tuh asor lal in tia yokelik, pwanang el fuhleak lulalfongi lal.
7So instead, you ought to forgive and comfort him, so that he will not be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow.
8Ouinge nga kwafe suwos in akkalemye nu sel lah pwaye kowos lungse el.
8Therefore I urge you to reaffirm your love for him.
9Nga tuh sim nu suwos mweyen nga ke srike kowos, ac liye lah kowos akola pacl nukewa in akos kas in luti luk.
9My purpose in writing you was to see if you would stand the test and be obedient in everything.
Tuh pacl nga nunak munas — fin oasr ma fal nga in nunak munas kac — nga oru ma inge ye mutun Christ, ke sripowos,
10If you forgive anyone, I also forgive him. And if I have forgiven anything, I have forgiven it in the presence of Christ for your sake,
11in kutongilya Satan elan tia kutangkutla, mweyen kut etu ouiya kutasrik lal.
11in order that Satan should not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.
12Ke nga sun acn Troas in fahkak Pweng Wo ke Christ we, nga konauk lah Leum el ikasla tari inkanek nu ke orekma uh.
12Now when I went to Troas to preach the gospel of Christ and a door stood open for me in the Lord,
13Tusruktu nga tuh arulana fosrnga, mweyen nga tia ku in konalak Titus, mwet wiasr in orekma uh.
13I had no peace in my spirit, because I did not find my brother Titus there. So I said goodbye to them and went on to Macedonia.
14A kut in sang kulo nu sin God! Tuh ke kut ma sefanna yurin Christ, God El kol kut in kutangla pacl nukewa. Ac El orekmakin kut in oru tuh etauk ke Christ in fahsrelik nu yen nukewa oana sie foul na keng.
14But thanks be to God, who always leads us triumphantly as captives in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of Him.
15Tuh kut oana sie mwe kisa keng fohlo, ma Christ el kisakin nu sin God, ac fohlo se inge fahsrelik nu inmasrlolos su fahsr ke inkanek in moul, oayapa nu inmasrlolos su fahsr ke inkanek in tuhlac.
15For we are to God the sweet aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.
16To the one, we are an odor of death and demise; to the other, a fragrance that brings life. And who is qualified for such a task?
17Kut tia oana mwet puspis saya, su orekma ke kas lun God oana ma lusronten ma elos kukakin; a ke sripen God El supwekut, kut fahk ma na pwaye ye mutal, oana mwet kulansap lun Christ.
17For we are not like so many others, who peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as men sent from God.
