Berean Standard Bible
1Mwet lili ac lulu, kut kena kowos in etu ma orekla in church nukewa in acn Macedonia ke sripen lungkulang lun God nu selos.
1Now, brothers, we want you to know about the grace that God has given the churches of Macedonia.
2Srikeyuk elos ke mwe lokoalok ac mwe keok puspis. Ne ouinge, engan lalos arulana yohk, pwanang mwe sang lalos wi pac yohk, elos finne arulana sukasrup.
2In the terrible ordeal they suffered, their abundant joy and deep poverty overflowed into rich generosity.
3Nga ku in fahk pwaye nu suwos lah elos sang ke kuiyalos nufon, ac yohk liki pac. Ke engan lalos sifacna,
3For I testify that they gave according to their ability and even beyond it. Of their own accord,
4elos siyuk ac kwafe sesr in oasr kasru lalos nu sin mwet lun God in Judea.
4they earnestly pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the saints.
5Ma elos oru inge alukela mwe finsrak lasr nu kac! Meet, elos eisalosyang sifacna nu sin Leum; ac toko, elos eisalosme pac nu sesr, fal nu ke lungse lun God.
5And not only did they do as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and then to us, because it was the will of God.
6Ke ma inge kut kwafel Titus, su sramtauk orekma oa se inge inmasrlowos, elan tafwelana ac kasrekowos in aksafyela.
6So we urged Titus to help complete your act of grace, just as he had started it.
7Kowos arulana kasrup in ouiya nukewa ma oasr yuruwos: in lulalfongi, in pah in sramsram, ac in etauk; oayapa ke kowos akola in kasru, ac ke lungse lowos nu sesr. Ke ma inge kut lungse kowos in oayapa etaten in orekma oa se inge.
7But just as you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness, and in the love we inspired in you —see that you also excel in this grace of giving.
8Nga tia oakiya ma sap nu suwos. Tusruktu ke nga fahkak lupan moniyuk lun mwet lulalfongi saya in kasru, nga srike in konauk lupan lungse pwaye lowos uh.
8I am not making a demand, but I am testing the sincerity of your love in comparison to the earnestness of others.
9Kowos etu lah ke sripen lungkulang lun Leum lasr Jesus Christ, el ne arulana kasrup a el sifacna aksukasrupyal tuh kowos in ku in kasrupi.
9For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich.
10Pa inge nunak luk ke ma se inge: ac wo kowos in aksafyela inge ma kowos tuh mutawauk oru ke yac tari ah. Kowos pa sramtauk ouiya se inge, ac tia ma inge mukena a kowos tuh arulana engan in oru.
10And this is my opinion about what is helpful for you in this matter: Last year you were the first not only to give, but even to have such a desire.
11Ke ma inge, kowos in oru na nwe ke na kowos aksafyela! Kowos in moniyuk in aksafyela oana ke kowos tuh moniyuk in lumahla, ac oru ke ma oasr yuruwos.
11Now finish the work, so that you may complete it just as eagerly as you began, according to your means.
12Kowos fin inse akola in sang, God El ac engan in eis mwe sang lowos, fal nu ke ma oasr yuruwos in sang, ac tia ke ma su wangin yuruwos.
12For if the eagerness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what he does not have.
13Nga tia fahk mu in fisrasr nu sin mwet saya ac in toasr nu suwos,
13It is not our intention that others may be relieved while you are burdened, but that there may be equality.
14At the present time, your surplus will meet their need, so that in turn their surplus will meet your need. Then there will be equality.
15Oana Ma Simusla uh fahk: “El su sifani yohk, wangin ma lula yorol; ac el su sifani srik, wangin enenu lal.”
15As it is written: “He who gathered much had no excess, and he who gathered little had no shortfall.”
16Kut kulo nu sin God lah El oru tuh Titus elan kena kasrekowos oana kut!
16But thanks be to God, who put into the heart of Titus the same devotion I have for you.
17Ke kut tuh siyuk elan kasru enenu lasr, el insese nu kac, tusruktu ke sripen lungse yohk lal el sifacna sulela elan fahsrot in kasre kowos.
17For not only did he welcome our appeal, but he is eagerly coming to you of his own volition.
18Ac kut oayapa supwaot, welul Titus, sie mwet wiasr su arulana lulalfongiyuk in church nukewa ke sripen orekma lal in fahkak Pweng Wo.
18Along with Titus we are sending the brother who is praised by all the churches for his work in the gospel.
19Sayen ma ingan, el sulosolla ac srisrngiyuki in church puspis in wi kut fufahsryesr ke kut us mwe lung inge, su ma nu ke wolana lun Leum, ac mwe akkalemye lah kut lungse kasru.
19More than that, this brother was chosen by the churches to accompany us with the offering —the gracious gift we administer to honor the Lord Himself and to show our eagerness to help.
20Kut arulana karinganang tuh in wangin kas in akkoluk lun mwet ke luman usyen mwe sang yohk lowos inge sesr.
20We hope to avoid any criticism of the way we administer this generous gift.
21Kut kena oru ma suwohs, tia ye mutun Leum God mukena, a oayapa ye mutun mwet uh.
21For we are taking great care to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord, but also in the eyes of men.
22Ke ma inge kut supwaot sie mwet wiasr in welulos. Kut srikal pacl pus ac kut konauk lah el kena kasru pacl nukewa. Ac inge, ke oasr lulalfongi yohk lal keiwos, el akola tari elan akyokye orekma in kasru lal.
22And we are sending along with them our brother whose earnestness has been proven many times and in many ways, and now even more so by his great confidence in you.
23Ac funu kacl Titus, el mwet wiyu orekma in kasrekowos. Ac ke mwet wiasr saya su ac welul fahsrot, elos aol kais sie church in fahkak wolana nu sin Christ.
23As for Titus, he is my partner and fellow worker among you. As for our brothers, they are messengers of the churches, to the glory of Christ.
24Akkalemye lungse lowos nu selos, tuh church nukewa fah akpwayei, ac etu lah pwaye sesr in konkin keiwos.
24In full view of the churches, then, show these men the proof of your love and the reason for our boasting about you.
