1God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
1IDDIO è nostro ricetto, e forza, Ed aiuto prontissimo nelle distrette.
2Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
2Perciò noi non temeremo, quantunque la terra si tramutasse di luogo, E i monti smossi fosser sospinti in mezzo del mare;
3Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.
3E le acque di esso romoreggiassero, e s'intorbidassero; E i monti fossero scrollati dall'alterezza di esso. (Sela.)
4There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.
4Il fiume, i ruscelli di Dio rallegreranno la sua Città. Il luogo santo degli abitacoli dell'Altissimo.
5God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.
5Iddio è nel mezzo di lei, ella non sarà smossa; Iddio la soccorrerà allo schiarir della mattina.
6The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.
6Le genti romoreggiarono, i regni si commossero; Egli diede fuori la sua voce, la terra si strusse.
7The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
7Il Signore degli eserciti è con noi; L'Iddio di Giacobbe è il nostro alto ricetto. (Sela.)
8Come, behold the works of the LORD , what desolations he hath made in the earth.
8Venite, mirate i fatti del Signore; Come egli ha operate cose stupende nella terra.
9He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.
9Egli ha fatte restar le guerre infino all'estremità della terra; Egli ha rotti gli archi, e messe in pezzi le lance, Ed arsi i carri col fuoco.
10Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
10Restate, e conoscete che io son Dio; Io sarò esaltato fra le genti, Io sarò esaltato nella terra.
11The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
