1Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth, may Israel now say:
1ʻOku totonu ke lea ni ʻa ʻIsileli, Kuo liunga lahi ʻenau fakamamahiʻi au talu ʻeku kei talavou:
2Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet they have not prevailed against me.
2“Kuo liunga lahi ʻenau fakamamahiʻi au talu ʻeku talavou: ka naʻe ʻikai tenau mālohi kiate au.
3The plowers plowed upon my back: they made long their furrows.
3Naʻe keli ʻae kau tangata keli ʻi hoku tuʻa: naʻa nau ngaohi ke lōloa ʻenau ngaahi keli.
4The LORD is righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked.
4ʻOku angatonu ʻa Sihova: kuo tuʻusi ʻe ia ʻae ngaahi afo ʻae kakai angahala.”
5Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.
5Tuku ke puputuʻu pea foki kimui ʻakinautolu kotoa pē ʻoku fehiʻa ki Saione.
6Let them be as the grass upon the housetops, which withereth afore it groweth up:
6Tuku kenau tatau mo e mohuku ʻi he tatā ʻoe fale, ʻaia ʻoku mae ʻi he teʻeki ai ke lahi ia:
7Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand; nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom.
7ʻAia ʻoku ʻikai fakapito ʻaki ʻe he tangata tuʻusi ʻa hono nima; pe ko e fatafata ʻo ia ʻoku ne nonoʻo ʻae ngaahi ʻū mohuku.
8Neither do they which go by say, The blessing of the LORD be upon you: we bless you in the name of the LORD .
8Pea ʻoku ʻikai lea ʻakinautolu ʻoku ʻalu ʻi ai, ʻo pehē, “Ke ʻiate kimoutolu ʻae monūʻia meia Sihova: ʻoku mau tāpuaki ʻakimoutolu ʻi he huafa ʻo Sihova.”
