King James Version with Apocrypha
Tongan Bible, Revised West Version
1Not unto us, O LORD , not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth’s sake.
2Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is now their God?
2Ko e hā ʻe pehē ai ʻe he hiteni, “Ko e fē honau ʻOtua?”
3But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.
3Ka ko hotau ʻOtua ʻoku ʻi he ngaahi langi: kuo ne fai ʻaia kuo ne finangalo ki ai.
4Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.
4Ko honau ngaahi tamapua ko e siliva mo e koula, ko e ngāue ʻae nima ʻoe tangata.
5They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not:
5‌ʻOku ai honau ngutu, ka ʻoku ʻikai tenau lea: ʻoku nau maʻu ʻae mata, ka ʻoku ʻikai tenau mamata:
6They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not:
6‌ʻOku nau telinga, ka ʻoku ʻikai tenau ongoʻi: ʻoku ai honau ihu, ka ʻoku ʻikai tenau nanamu:
7They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat.
7‌ʻOku nau maʻu ʻae nima, ka ʻoku ʻikai tenau ala ki ha meʻa: ʻoku ai honau vaʻe, ka ʻoku ʻikai tenau ʻaʻeva: pea ʻoku ʻikai tenau lea ʻaki honau kia.
8They that make them are like unto them; so is every one that trusteth in them.
8Ko kinautolu ʻoku ngaohi ʻakinautolu ʻoku nau tatau mo kinautolu: pea ʻoku pehē pe ʻakinautolu kotoa pē ʻoku falala ki ai.
9O Israel, trust thou in the LORD : he is their help and their shield.
9‌ʻE ʻIsileli, ke ke falala kia Sihova ko honau tokoni ia mo honau fakaū.
10O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD : he is their help and their shield.
10‌ʻE fale ʻo ʻElone, ke ke falala kia Sihova: ko honau tokoni ia mo honau fakaū.
11Ye that fear the LORD , trust in the LORD : he is their help and their shield.
11‌ʻAkimoutolu ʻoku manavahē kia Sihova, mou falala kia Sihova: ko honau tokoni ia mo honau fakaū.
12The LORD hath been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron.
12Kuo manatuʻi ʻe Sihova ʻakitautolu: te ne tāpuaki ʻakitautolu; te ne tāpuaki ʻae fale ʻo ʻIsileli; te ne tāpuaki ʻae fale ʻo ʻElone.
13He will bless them that fear the LORD , both small and great.
13Te ne tāpuaki ʻakinautolu ʻoku nau manavahē kia Sihova, ʻae iiki mo e lalahi.
14The LORD shall increase you more and more, you and your children.
14‌ʻE fakatokolahi ʻakimoutolu ʻe Sihova, pea te mou tupu pe, ʻakimoutolu mo hoʻomou fānau.
15Ye are blessed of the LORD which made heaven and earth.
15‌ʻOku mou monūʻia ʻia Sihova, ʻaia naʻa ne ngaohi ʻae langi mo māmani.
16The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD’s : but the earth hath he given to the children of men.
16‌ʻOku ʻo Sihova ʻae langi, ʻio, ko e ngaahi langi: pea kuo ne foaki ʻa māmani ki he fānau ʻae tangata.
17The dead praise not the LORD , neither any that go down into silence.
17‌ʻOku ʻikai fakamālō kia Sihova ʻae mate, pe ha taha ʻoku ʻalu hifo ki he fakalongo pē.
18But we will bless the LORD from this time forth and for evermore. Praise the LORD .
18Ka te tau fakafetaʻi kia Sihova mei he ʻaho ni ʻo taʻengata. Mou fakamālō kia Sihova.
