1And I said, Hear, I pray you, O heads of Jacob, and ye princes of the house of Israel; Is it not for you to know judgment?
1Eu disse, “Ouçam, por favor, chefes de Jacó, e governantes da casa de Israel: Não cabe a vocês conhecer a justiça?
2Who hate the good, and love the evil; who pluck off their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones;
2Vocês que odeiam o bem, e amam o mal; que arrancam a pele deles, e a carne dos seus ossos;
3Who also eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them; and they break their bones, and chop them in pieces, as for the pot, and as flesh within the caldron.
3que também comem a carne do meu povo, e lhes arrancam a pele, e quebram os seus ossos, e os cortam em pedaços, como para a panela, e como carne dentro do caldeirão.
4Then shall they cry unto the LORD , but he will not hear them: he will even hide his face from them at that time, as they have behaved themselves ill in their doings.
4Então eles clamarão ao SENHOR, mas ele não lhes responderá. Sim, ele esconderá o seu rosto deles naquele tempo, por causa da perversidade de suas obras.”
5¶ Thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that make my people err, that bite with their teeth, and cry, Peace; and he that putteth not into their mouths, they even prepare war against him.
5Assim diz o SENHOR a respeito dos profetas que desviam meu povo: quando alguém lhes dá o que comer, eles proclamam: “Paz!”; mas, contra quem não lhes dá nada para a boca, preparam guerra:
6Therefore night shall be unto you, that ye shall not have a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down over the prophets, and the day shall be dark over them.
6“Por isso, virá noite sobre vocês, sem visão, e trevas, para que não possam adivinhar; e o sol se porá sobre os profetas, e o dia escurecerá sobre eles.
7Then shall the seers be ashamed, and the diviners confounded: yea, they shall all cover their lips; for there is no answer of God.
7Os videntes ficarão decepcionados, e os adivinhos, confusos. Sim, todos eles cobrirão os seus lábios, porque não há resposta de Deus.”
8¶ But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the LORD , and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.
8Mas, quanto a mim, estou cheio de poder pelo Espírito do SENHOR, de juízo e de força, para declarar a Jacó a sua desobediência, e a Israel o seu pecado.
9Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and princes of the house of Israel, that abhor judgment, and pervert all equity.
9Ouçam isto, por favor, chefes da casa de Jacó, e governantes da casa de Israel, que abominam a justiça, e pervertem toda equidade,
10They build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.
10que edificam Sião com sangue, e Jerusalém com iniquidade.
11The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the LORD , and say, Is not the LORD among us? none evil can come upon us.
11Seus líderes julgam por suborno, e seus sacerdotes ensinam por um preço, e seus profetas adivinham por dinheiro; contudo, apoiam-se no SENHOR e dizem: “O SENHOR não está no meio de nós? Nenhum mal virá sobre nós.”
12Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest.
12Portanto, por causa de vocês, Sião será arada como um campo, Jerusalém se tornará montões de ruínas, e o monte do templo, como os lugares altos de uma floresta.
