Proverbs 22

1A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.
1ကောင်းသောအသရေ ကို များစွာ သော ဥစ္စာ ထက် သာ၍ရွေး စရာကောင်း၏။ သူတပါးစုံမက်ခြင်း ကျေးဇူး သည် ရွှေ ငွေ ထက် သာ၍ကောင်း ၏။
2The rich and the poor meet together — the LORD is the maker of them all.
2ငွေ ရတတ်သောသူနှင့် ဆင်းရဲ သောသူတို့သည် တွေ့ကြုံ ကြ၏။ ထိုသူ အပေါင်း တို့ကို ထာဝရဘုရား ဖန်ဆင်း တော်မူ၏။
3A prudent man seeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the thoughtless pass on, and are punished.
3သမ္မာ သတိရှိသောသူသည် အမှု ကိုမြော်မြင် ၍ ပုန်း နေတတ်၏။ ဉာဏ် တိမ်သောသူမူကား ၊ အစဉ်အတိုင်း သွား ၍ အမှု နှင့်တွေ့တတ်၏။
4The reward of humility is the fear of the LORD, even riches, and honour, and life.
4စိတ် နှိမ့်ချခြင်း၊ ထာဝရဘုရား ကို ကြောက်ရွံ့ ခြင်းကျေးဇူး ကြောင့် စည်းစိမ် ၊ ဂုဏ် အသရေ၊ အသက် ကို ရတတ်၏။
5Thorns and snares are in the way of the froward; he that keepeth his soul holdeth himself far from them.
5သဘော ကောက်သောလူ သွားရာလမ်း ၌ ၊ ဆူး ပင်များနှင့် ကျော့ကွင်း များရှိတတ်၏။ မိမိ စိတ် ဝိညာဉ်ကို စောင့်ရှောက် သောသူမူကားဝေး စွာ ရှောင်သွားလိမ့်မည်။
6Train up a child in the way he should go, and even when he is old, he will not depart from it.
6သူငယ် သွားရာလမ်း ဝ ၌ ဆုံးမ သွန်သင်လော့။ သို့ပြုလျှင် သူသည်အို သောအခါ ထို လမ်းမှ မ လွှဲ၊ လိုက် သွားလိမ့်မည်။
7The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.
7ငွေ ရတတ်သောသူသည် ဆင်းရဲ သောသူကို အစိုးရ ၏။ ချေးငှါးယူ သောသူသည် ချေးငှါး ပေးသောသူ ၌ ကျွန် ဖြစ်၏။
8He that soweth iniquity shall reap vanity; and the rod of his wrath shall fail.
8ဒုစရိုက် မျိုးစေ့ကို ကြဲ သောသူသည် ဒုက္ခ စပါးကိုရိတ် ရမည်။ ဒေါသ စိတ်ရှိ၍ ဒဏ် ပေးနိုင်သော တန်ခိုးလည်း ပျောက် လိမ့်မည်။
9He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed; for he giveth of his bread to the poor.
9ကရုဏာ မျက်စိ ရှိသောသူ သည် ဆင်းရဲ သောသူတို့ ကိုကျွေး သောကြောင့် မင်္ဂလာ ရှိလိမ့်မည်။
10Cast out the scorner, and contention will go out; yea, strife and shame will cease.
10မထီမဲ့မြင် ပြုသောသူကိုနှင်ထုတ် လော့။ သို့ပြုလျှင် ရန်မာန် လည်း ထွက်သွား လိမ့်မည်။ ရန်တွေ့ ခြင်းနှင့် ကဲ့ရဲ့ ခြင်းလည်း ငြိမ်း လိမ့်မည်။
11He that loveth pureness of heart, that hath grace in his lips, the king shall be his friend.
11စိတ် နှလုံးဖြူစင် ခြင်းကို နှစ်သက် သောသူသည် လျောက်ပတ် သောစကား ကို ပြောတတ်၍၊ ရှင် ဘုရင်နှင့် မိတ်ဆွေ ဖွဲ့ရလိမ့်မည်။
12The eyes of the LORD preserve him that hath knowledge, but He overthroweth the words of the faithless man.
12ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ မျက်စိ တော်သည် ပညာ အတတ်ကို စောင့် ၏။ ပြစ်မှား သောသူ၏စကား ကိုကား ချေ တော်မူ၏။
13The sluggard saith: 'There is a lion without; I shall be slain in the streets.'
13ပျင်းရိ သောသူက၊ အိမ် ပြင်မှာခြင်္သေ့ ရှိ၏။ လမ်း သို့ ထွက်လျှင် ငါသေ လိမ့်မည်ဟု ဆို တတ်၏။
14The mouth of strange women is a deep pit: he that is abhorred of the LORD shall fall therein.
14အမျိုး ပျက်သော မိန်းမ၏နှုတ် သည် နက် သော မြေတွင်း ဖြစ်၏။ ထာဝရဘုရား စက်ဆုပ် ရွံရှာတော်မူသောသူသည် ထို မြေတွင်းထဲသို့ ကျ လိမ့်မည်။
15Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.
15မိုက် သောသဘောသည် သူငယ် ၏ စိတ် နှလုံးထဲမှာ ထုပ် ထားလျက်ရှိ၏။ သို့သော်လည်း၊ ဆုံးမ သော ကြိမ်လုံး သည် ထို သဘောကို ဝေး စွာ နှင်တတ်၏။
16One may oppress the poor, yet will their gain increase; one may give to the rich, yet will want come.
16ကိုယ် စီးပွါး အဘို့ ဆင်းရဲသား တို့ကို ညှဉ်းဆဲ သောသူနှင့်၊ ငွေ ရတတ်သောသူတို့ အား ပေး သောသူသည် ဆင်းရဲ ခြင်းသို့ အမှန်ရောက်လိမ့်မည်။
17Incline thine ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply thy heart unto my knowledge.
17သင် ၏နား ကိုညွှတ် ၍ ပညာရှိ စကား ကို နားထောင် လော့။ ငါ့ ပညာ အတတ်ကို လည်း စိတ် နှလုံး၌ စွဲလမ်း လော့။
18For it is a pleasant thing if thou keep them within thee; let them be established altogether upon thy lips.
18သင် ၏နှလုံး ၌ သွင်းမိ နိုင်လျှင် သာယာ သော အကျိုးရှိလိမ့်မည်။ သင် ၏နှုတ် ၌ လည်း အစဉ် အသင့်ရှိ လိမ့်မည်။
19That thy trust may be in the LORD, I have made them known to thee this day, even to thee.
19သင် သည်ထာဝရဘုရား ၌ ခိုလှုံ မည်အကြောင်း ၊ သင့် ကိုယ်တိုင်ကိုယနေ့ ငါသွန်သင် ၏။
20Have not I written unto thee excellent things of counsels and knowledge;
20-
21That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth, that thou mightest bring back words of truth to them that send thee?
21သင် သည် သမ္မာ တရားစကား စစ် ကိုသိ မည် အကြောင်း နှင့်၊ သင့် ထံသို့စေလွှတ် သော သူတို့အား ၊ သမ္မာ စကား ကို ပြန် ပြောနိုင်မည်အကြောင်း သတိပေးလျက်၊ ပညာ အတတ်ကို ပြသလျက် ၊ ထူးဆန်းသော အရာတို့ကို ငါရေး ၍ ပေးလိုက်သည် မဟုတ်လော။
22Rob not the weak, because he is weak, neither crush the poor in the gate;
22ဆင်းရဲသောသူ၏ဆင်းရဲကိုထောက်၍၊ သူ၏ ဥစ္စာ ကို မ လုမယူနှင့်။ ဒုက္ခိတ သတ္တဝါကို မြို့ တံခါးဝ၌ မ ညှဉ်းဆဲ နှင့်။
23For the LORD will plead their cause, and despoil of life those that despoil them.
23အကြောင်း မူကား၊ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် သူ တို့ အမှု ကို စောင့် တော်မူမည်။ သူတို့ဥစ္စာကို လုယူ သောသူ တို့ ၏ အသက် ကို လုယူ တော်မူမည်။
24Make no friendship with a man that is given to anger; and with a wrathful man thou shalt not go;
24စိတ်တို သောသူ ကို မိတ်ဆွေ မ ဖွဲ့နှင့်။ အမျက် ပြင်းထန်သော သူ နှင့်အတူ မ လိုက် နှင့်။
25Lest thou learn his ways, and get a snare to thy soul.
25လိုက်လျှင် သူ ၏ထုံးစံ ဓလေ့တို့ကိုသင် ၍ ၊ ကိုယ် အသက် ကျော့မိ ရာ ဖြစ် လိမ့်မည်။
26Be thou not of them that strike hands, or of them that are sureties for debts;
26လက်ဝါး ချင်းရိုက် သောလူစုနှင့် သူ့ကြွေး ကို အာမခံ သော လူစုထဲ သို့ မ ဝင် နှင့်။
27If thou hast not wherewith to pay, why should he take away thy bed from under thee?
27သင် ၌ ပေး ရန် မ ရှိလျှင် ၊ သင့် အိပ်ရာ ကို အဘယ်ကြောင့် ယူသွား စေချင်သနည်း။
28Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set.
28ဘိုးဘေး စိုက် ဘူးသော မြေမှတ်တိုင် တို့ကို မ ရွှေ့ နှင့်။
29Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.
29ဆောင်ရွက်စရာအမှု ကို ကြိုးစား ၍ ပြီးစီးစေ တတ်သောသူ ရှိ သလော။ ထိုသူသည် သာမည လူ၏ အမှု ကို မ ဆောင်ရွက် ၊ ရှင်ဘုရင် ၏ အမှု တော်ကို ဆောင်ရွက် ရ၏။
