1IN THE second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, saying:
1ဒါရိ မင်းကြီး နန်းစံနှစ် နှစ် ၊ ဆဌမ လ တ ရက် နေ့ တွင် ၊ ပရောဖက် ဟဂ္ဂဲ အားဖြင့် ယုဒ မြို့ဝန် ၊ ရှာလသေလ သား ဇေရုဗဗေလ နှင့် ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ် မင်း ယောဇဒက် သား ယောရှု ဆီသို့ ထာဝရဘုရား ၏နှုတ်ကပတ် တော် ရောက် လာ၍၊
2'Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying: This people say: The time is not come, the time that the LORD'S house should be built.'
2ကောင်းကင်ဗိုလ်ခြေ အရှင် ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့် တော်မူသည်ကား၊ အချိန် မ ရောက် သေး၊ ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ အိမ် တော်ကို တည်ဆောက် ရသောအချိန် မရောက်သေး ဟု၊ ဤ လူ များ ပြောဆို ကြသည်မှာ၊
3Then came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying:
3ပရောဖက် ဟဂ္ဂဲ အားဖြင့် ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ နှုတ်ကပတ် တော်ရောက် လာသည်ကား၊
4'Is it a time for you yourselves to dwell in your cieled houses, while this house lieth waste?
4အချင်းလူတို့၊ သင် တို့သည် အမိုးနှစ်ထပ်နှင့် ပြည့်စုံ သော အိမ် ၌ နေ ချိန် ရှိလျက်ပင်၊ အိမ် တော်ပျက် လျက် နေရမည်လော။
5Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts: Consider your ways.
5ယခု မှာ ကောင်းကင်ဗိုလ်ခြေ အရှင် ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့် တော်မူသည်ကား၊ ကိုယ်ကျင့်သောအကျင့် တို့ ကို ဆင်ခြင် ကြလော့။
6Ye have sown much, and brought in little, ye eat, but ye have not enough, ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink, ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages for a bag with holes.
6သင်တို့သည် များစွာ သော မျိုးစေ့ ကို ကြဲသော်လည်း အသီးအနှံနည်းပါး ရ ၏။ စား ရသော်လည်း ဝ စွာ မ စားရကြ။ သောက် ရသော်လည်း ဝစွာ မ သောက် ရကြ။ အဝတ်ကို ဝတ် ရသော်လည်း နွေး စွာ မ ဝတ်ရကြ။ အလုပ် လုပ်၍ အခ ကို ခံရသော်လည်းမ လုံသော အိတ် ထဲမှာ သိုထားရကြ၏။
7Thus saith the LORD of hosts: Consider your ways.
7ကောင်းကင်ဗိုလ်ခြေ အရှင် ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့် တော်မူသည်ကား၊ ကိုယ် အကျင့် တို့ကို ဆင်ခြင် ကြလော့။
8Go up to the hill-country, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the LORD.
8တောင် ပေါ်သို့ တက် သွား၍ သစ်သား ကို ဆောင် ခဲ့ပြီးလျှင် အိမ် တော်ကို ဆောက် ကြလော့။ ငါသည် လည်း အားရ ၍ ငါ၏ဘုန်း သည် ထင်ရှားလိမ့်မည်ဟု၊ ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့် တော်မူ၏။
9Ye looked for much, and, lo, it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the LORD of hosts. Because of My house that lieth waste, while ye run every man for his own house.
9သင်တို့သည် များစွာ ရမည်ဟု မြော်လင့် သော်လည်း ရသောဥစ္စာခေါင်းပါး ရ၏။ အိမ် သို့ ရောက် သောအခါ ငါမှုတ် လိုက်၏။ အဘယ်ကြောင့် နည်းဟု၊ ကောင်းကင် ဗိုလ်ခြေ အရှင် ထာဝရဘုရား မေး တော်မူ၏။ ငါ့ အိမ် သည် ပျက် လျက်ရှိသောကြောင့် ၎င်း ၊ သင် တို့သည် အသီးအသီး မိမိ တို့အိမ် သို့ ပြေး သောကြောင့်၎င်း ဖြစ်သတည်း။
10Therefore over you the heaven hath kept back, so that there is no dew, and the earth hath kept back her produce.
10ထိုကြောင့် သင် တို့အပေါ် မှာ မိုဃ်း ခေါင် သဖြင့် နှင်း မကျရ။ မြေ သည်လည်း အသီးအနှံ ကို မ ပေးရ။
11And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands.'
11မြေ ပေါ် ၌၎င်း ၊ တောင် ပေါ် ၌၎င်း ၊ ဆန် စပါး၊ ချိုသောစပျစ်ရည် ၊ ဆီ အပေါ် ၌၎င်း ၊ မြေ ထဲကထွက် သမျှ အပေါ် ၌၎င်း ၊ လူ သတ္တဝါတိရစ္ဆာန် အပေါ် ၌၎င်း ၊ လုပ်ဆောင် သမျှ အပေါ် ၌၎င်း ၊ သွေ့ခြောက် ခြင်းဘေးကို ငါမှာ လိုက်လေပြီဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
12Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, hearkened unto the voice of the LORD their God, and unto the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him; and the people did fear before the LORD.
12ထိုအခါ ရှာလသေလ သား ဇေရုဗဗေလ နှင့် ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ် မင်း ယောဇဒက် သား ယောရှု မှစ၍ ကျန် ကြွင်းသော သူ အပေါင်း တို့သည် မိမိ တို့ဘုရား သခင်ထာဝရဘုရား ၏အမိန့် တော်ကို၎င်း ၊ မိမိ တို့ ဘုရား သခင်ထာဝရဘုရား စေခိုင်း တော်မူသောပရောဖက် ဟဂ္ဂဲ စကား ကို၎င်း နားထောင် သဖြင့် ၊ ထာဝရဘုရား ရှေ့ တော်၌ ကြောက်ရွံ့ ကြ၏။
13Then spoke Haggai the LORD'S messenger in the LORD'S message unto the people, saying: 'I am with you, saith the LORD.'
13ထိုအခါ ထာဝရဘုရား မှာ ထားတော်မူသည် အတိုင်း ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ တမန် ဟဂ္ဂဲ က၊ ငါ သည် သင် တို့နှင့်အတူ ရှိ၏ဟု၊ ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့် တော်မူကြောင်းကို လူ များတို့အား ဆင့်ဆို လေ၏။
14And the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and did work in the house of the LORD of hosts, their God,
14ထာဝရဘုရား သည်လည်း၊ ယုဒ မြို့ဝန် ၊ ရှာလသေလ သား ဇေရုဗဗေလ နှင့် ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ် မင်း ယောဇဒက် သား ယောရှု မှစ၍ကျန် ကြွင်းသော သူ အပေါင်း တို့ ကို နှိုးဆော် တော်မူသောအားဖြင့် ၊
15in the four and twentieth day of the month, in the sixth month, in the second year of Darius the king.
15ဒါရိ မင်းကြီး နန်းစံနှစ် နှစ် ၊ ဆဌမ လ နှစ်ဆယ် လေး ရက်နေ့ တွင် ၊ သူတို့သည် လာ ၍ မိမိ တို့ဘုရား သခင်၊ ကောင်းကင်ဗိုလ်ခြေ အရှင် ထာဝရဘုရား ၏အိမ် တော်၌ အလုပ် လုပ် ကြ၏။
