1And the lot for the tribe of the children of Judah according to their families was unto the border of Edom, even to the wilderness of Zin southward, at the uttermost part of the south.
1ΚΑΙ ἐγένετο τὰ ὅρια φυλῆς Ἰούδα κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν ἀπὸ τῶν ὁρίων τῆς Ἰδουμαίας ἀπὸ τῆς ἐρήμου Σὶν ἕως Κάδης πρὸς λίβα.
2And their south border was from the uttermost part of the Salt Sea, from the bay that looked southward.
2καὶ ἐγενήθη αὐτῶν τὰ ὅρια ἀπὸ λιβὸς ἕως μέρους θαλάσσης τῆς ἁλυκῆς, ἀπὸ τῆς λοφιᾶς τῆς φερούσης ἐπὶ λίβα
3And it went out southward of the ascent of Akrabbim, and passed along to Zin, and went up by the south of Kadesh-barnea, and passed along by Hezron, and went up to Addar, and turned about to Karka.
3καὶ διαπορεύεται ἀπέναντι τῆς προσαναβάσεως Ἀκραβὶν καὶ ἐκπεριπορεύεται Σενὰ καὶ ἀναβαίνει ἀπὸ λιβὸς ἐπὶ Κάδης Βαρνὴ καὶ ἐκπορεύεται Ἀσωρὼν καὶ προσαναβαίνει εἰς Σάραδα καὶ ἐκπορεύεται τὴν κατὰ δυσμὰς Κάδης
4And it passed along to Azmon, and went out at the Brook of Egypt; and the goings out of the border were at the sea; this shall be your south border.
4καὶ ἐκπορεύεται ἐπὶ Σελμωνὰν καὶ διεκβάλλει ἕως φάραγγος Αἰγύπτου, καὶ ἔσται αὐτοῦ ἡ διέξοδος τῶν ὁρίων ἐπὶ τὴν θάλασσαν· τοῦτό ἐστιν αὐτῶν ὅρια ἀπὸ λιβός.
5And the east border was the Salt Sea, even unto the end of the Jordan. And the border of the north side was from the bay of the sea at the end of the Jordan.
5καὶ τὰ ὅρια ἀπὸ ἀνατολῶν· πᾶσα ἡ θάλασσα ἡ ἁλυκὴ ἕως τοῦ Ἰορδάνου. καὶ τὰ ὅρια αὐτῶν ἀπὸ βορρᾶ καὶ ἀπὸ τῆς λοφιᾶς τῆς θαλάσσης καὶ ἀπὸ τοῦ μέρους τοῦ Ἰορδάνου·
6And the border went up to Beth-hoglah, and passed along by the north of Beth-arabah; and the border went up to the Stone of Bohan the son of Reuben.
6ἐπιβαίνει τὰ ὅρια ἐπὶ Βαιθαγλὰ καὶ παραπορεύεται ἀπὸ Βορρᾶ ἐπὶ Βαιθάραβα, καὶ προσαναβαίνει τὰ ὅρια ἐπὶ λίθον Βαιὼν υἱοῦ Ρουβήν,
7And the border went up to Debir from the valley of Achor, and so northward, looking toward Gilgal, that is over against the ascent of Adummim, which is on the south side of the brook; and the border passed along to the waters of En-shemesh, and the goings out thereof were at En-rogel.
7καὶ προσαναβαίνει τὰ ὅρια ἐπὶ τὸ τέταρτον τῆς φάραγγος Ἀχὼρ καὶ καταβαίνει ἐπὶ Γαλγάλ, ἥ ἐστιν ἀπέναντι τῆς προσβάσεως Ἀδδαμίν, ἥ ἐστι κατὰ λίβα τῇ φάραγγι, καὶ διεκβάλλει ἐπὶ τὸ ὕδωρ πηγῆς τοῦ ἡλίου, καὶ ἔσται αὐτοῦ ἡ διέξοδος πηγὴ Ρωγήλ,
8And the border went up by the Valley of the son of Hinnom unto the side of the Jebusite southward — the same is Jerusalem — and the border went up to the top of the mountain that lieth before the Valley of Hinnom westward, which is at the uttermost part of the vale of Rephaim northward.
8καὶ ἀναβαίνει τὰ ὅρια εἰς φάραγγα Ὀνὸμ ἐπὶ νώτου Ἰεβοῦς ἀπὸ λιβὸς (αὕτη ἐστὶν Ἱερουσαλὴμ) καὶ διεκβάλλει τὰ ὅρια ἐπὶ κορυφὴν ὄρους, ἥ ἐστι κατὰ πρόσωπον φάραγγος Ὀνὸμ πρὸς θαλάσσης, ἥ ἐστιν ἐκ μέρους γῆς Ραφαΐν ἐπὶ βορρᾶ,
9And the border was drawn from the top of the mountain unto the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah, and went out to the cities of mount Ephron; and the border was drawn to Baalah — the same is Kiriath-jearim.
9καὶ διεκβάλλει τὸ ὅριον ἀπὸ κορυφῆς τοῦ ὄρους ἐπὶ πηγὴν ὕδατος Ναφθὼ καὶ διεκβάλλει εἰς τὸ ὄρος Ἐφρών, καὶ ἄξει τὸ ὅριον εἰς Βαὰλ (αὕτη ἐστὶ πόλις Ἰαρίμ),
10And the border turned about from Baalah westward unto mount Seir, and passed along unto the side of mount Jearim on the north — the same is Chesalon — and went down to Beth-shemesh, and passed along by Timnah.
10καὶ περιελεύσεται ὅριον ἀπὸ Βαὰλ ἐπὶ θάλασσαν καὶ παρελεύσεται εἰς ὄρος Ἀσσὰρ ἐπὶ νώτου, Πόλιν Ἰαρὶν ἀπὸ βορρᾶ (αὕτη ἐστὶ Χασλὼν) καὶ καταβήσεται ἐπὶ Πόλιν ἡλίου καὶ παρελεύσεται ἐπὶ λίβα,
11And the border went out unto the side of Ekron northward; and the border was drawn to Shikkeron, and passed along to mount Baalah, and went out at Jabneel; and the goings out of the border were at the sea.
11καὶ διεκβάλλει τὸ ὅριον κατὰ νώτου Ἀκκαρὼν ἐπὶ βορρᾶν, καὶ διεκβαλεῖ τὰ ὅρια εἰς Σοκχὼθ καὶ παρελεύσεται ὅρια ἐπὶ λίβα καὶ διεκβαλεῖ ἐπὶ Λεβνά, καὶ ἔσται ἡ διέξοδος τῶν ὁρίων ἐπὶ θάλασσαν. καὶ τὰ ὅρια αὐτῶν ἀπὸ θαλάσσης· ἡ θάλασσα ἡ μεγάλη ὁριεῖ.
12And as for the west border, the Great Sea was the border thereof. This is the border of the children of Judah round about according to their families.
12ταῦτα τὰ ὅρια υἱῶν Ἰούδα κύκλῳ κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν.
13And unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh he gave a portion among the children of Judah, according to the commandment of the LORD to Joshua, even Kiriath-arba, which Arba was the father of Anak — the same is Hebron.
13καὶ τῷ Χάλεβ υἱῷ Ἰεφονὴ ἔδωκε μερίδα ἐν μέσῳ υἱῶν Ἰούδα διὰ προστάγματος τοῦ Θεοῦ, καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτῷ Ἰησοῦς τὴν πόλιν Ἀρβὸκ μητρόπολιν Ἐνὰκ (αὕτη ἐστὶ Χεβρών).
14And Caleb drove out thence the three sons of Anak, Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the children of Anak.
14καὶ ἐξωλόθρευσεν ἐκεῖθεν Χάλεβ υἱὸς Ἰεφονὴ τοὺς τρεῖς υἱοὺς Ἐνάκ, τὸν Σουσὶ καὶ Θολαμὶ καὶ τὸν Ἀχιμᾶ.
15And he went up thence against the inhabitants of Debir — now the name of Debir beforetime was Kiriath-sepher.
15καὶ ἀνέβη ἐκεῖθεν Χάλεβ ἐπὶ τοὺς κατοικοῦντας Δαβίρ· τὸ δὲ ὄνομα Δαβὶρ ἦν τὸ πρότερον Πόλις γραμμάτων.
16And Caleb said: 'He that smiteth Kiriath-sepher, and taketh it, to him will I give Achsah my daughter to wife.'
16καὶ εἶπε Χάλεβ· ὃς ἐὰν λάβῃ καὶ ἐκκόψῃ τὴν Πόλιν τῶν γραμμάτων καὶ κυριεύσῃ αὐτῆς, δώσω αὐτῷ τὴν Ἀσχὰν θυγατέρα μου εἰς γυναῖκα·
17And Othniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, took it; and he gave him Achsah his daughter to wife.
17καὶ ἔλαβεν αὐτὴν Γοθονιὴλ υἱὸς Κενὲζ ἀδελφὸς Χάλεβ ὁ νεώτερος καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτῷ τὴν Ἀσχὰν θυγατέρα αὐτοῦ γυναῖκα.
18And it came to pass, when she came unto him, that she persuaded him to ask of her father a field; and she alighted from off her ass; and Caleb said unto her: 'What wouldest thou?'
18καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ ἐκπορεύεσθαι αὐτὴν καὶ συνεβουλεύσατο αὐτῷ λέγουσα· αἰτήσομαι τὸν πατέρα μου ἀγρόν· καὶ ἐβόησεν ἐκ τοῦ ὄνου. καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῇ Χάλεβ· τί ἐστί σοι;
19And she said: 'Give me a blessing; for that thou hast set me in the Southland, give me therefore springs of water.' And he gave her the Upper Springs and the Nether Springs.
19καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ· δός μοι εὐλογίαν, ὅτι εἰς γῆν Ναγὲβ δέδωκάς με· δός μοι τὴν Γολαθμαίν. καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτῇ Χάλεβ τὴν Γολαθμαὶν τὴν ἄνω καὶ τὴν Γολαθμαὶν τὴν κάτω.
20This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Judah according to their families.
20αὕτη ἡ κληρονομία φυλῆς υἱῶν Ἰούδα.
21And the cities at the uttermost part of the tribe of the children of Judah toward the border of Edom in the South were Kabzeel, and Eder, and Jagur;
21Ἐγενήθησαν δὲ πόλεις αὐτῶν· πόλις πρώτη φυλῆς υἱῶν Ἰούδα ἐφ' ὁρίων Ἐδὼμ ἐπὶ τῆς ἐρήμου,
22and Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah;
22καὶ Βαισελεὴλ καὶ Ἀρὰ καὶ Ἀσὼρ καὶ Ἰκὰμ καὶ Ρεγμὰ καὶ Ἀρουὴλ
23and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Ithnan;
23καὶ Κάδης καὶ Ἀσοριωναὶν καὶ Μαινὰμ
24Ziph, and Telem, and Bealoth;
24καὶ Βαλμαινὰν καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν
25and Hazor, and Hadattah, and Kerioth, and Hezron — the same is Hazor;
25καὶ αἱ πόλεις Ἀσερὼν (αὕτη Ἀσὼρ)
26Amam, and Shema, and Moladah;
26καὶ Σὴν καὶ Σαλμαὰ καὶ Μωλαδᾶ
27and Hazar-gaddah, and Heshmon, and Beth-pelet;
27καὶ Σερὶ καὶ Βαιφαλὰδ
28and Hazar-shual, and Beer-sheba, and Biziothiah;
28καὶ Χολασεωλὰ καὶ Βηρσαβεὲ καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν καὶ αἱ ἐπαύλεις αὐτῶν,
29Baalah, and Iim, and Ezem;
29Βαλὰ καὶ Βακὼκ καὶ Ἀσὸμ
30and Eltolad, and Chesil, and Hormah;
30καὶ Ἐλβωϋδὰδ καὶ Βαιθὴλ καὶ Ἑρμᾶ
31and Ziklag, and Madmannah, and Sansannah;
31καὶ Σεκελὰκ καὶ Μαχαρὶμ καὶ Σεθεννὰκ
32and Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and Ain, and Rimmon; all the cities are twenty and nine, with their villages.
32καὶ Λαβὼς καὶ Σαλὴ καὶ Ἐρωμώθ, πόλεις εἰκοσιεννέα, καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν.
33In the Lowland: Eshtaol, and Zorah, and Ashnah;
33ἐν τῇ πεδινῇ· Ἀσταὼλ καὶ Ράα καὶ Ἄσσα
34and Zanoah, and En-gannim, Tappuah, and Enam;
34καὶ Ράμεν καὶ Τανὼ καὶ Ἰλουθὼθ καὶ Μαιανὶ
35Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah;
35καὶ Ἱερμοὺθ καὶ Ὀδολλὰμ καὶ Μεμβρὰ καὶ Σαωχὼ καὶ Ἀζηκὰ
36and Shaaraim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, with Gederothaim; fourteen cities with their villages.
36καὶ Σακαρὶμ καὶ Γάδηρα καὶ αἱ ἐπαύλεις αὐτῆς, πόλεις δεκατέσσαρες καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν·
37Zenan, and Hadashah, and Migdal-gad;
37Σεννὰ καὶ Ἀδασὰν καὶ Μαγαδαλγὰδ
38and Dilan, and Mizpeh, and Joktheel;
38καὶ Δαλὰλ καὶ Μασφὰ καὶ Ἰαχαρεὴλ καὶ Λαχὶς
39Lachish, and Bozkath, and Eglon;
39καὶ Βασηδὼθ καὶ Ἰδεαδαλέα
40and Cabbon, and Lahmas, and Chithlish;
40καὶ Χαβρὰ καὶ Μαχὲς καὶ Μααχὼς
41and Gederoth, Beth-dagon, and Naamah, and Makkedah; sixteen cities with their villages.
41καὶ Γεδδὼρ καὶ Βαγαδιὴλ καὶ Νωμὰν καὶ Μαχηδάν, πόλεις ἑκκαίδεκα καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν·
42Libnah, and Ether, and Ashan;
42Λεβνὰ καὶ Ἰθὰκ καὶ Ἀνὼχ
43and Iphtah, and Ashnah, and Nezib;
43καὶ Ἰανὰ καὶ Νασὶβ
44and Keilah, and Achzib, and Mareshah; nine cities with their villages.
44καὶ Κεϊλὰμ καὶ Ἀκιεζὶ καὶ Κεζὶβ καὶ Βαθησὰρ καὶ Αἰλώμ, πόλεις δέκα καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν·
45Ekron, with its towns and its villages;
45Ἀκκαρὼν καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῆς καὶ αἱ ἐπαύλεις αὐτῶν·
46from Ekron even unto the sea, all that were by the side of Ashdod, with their villages.
46ἀπὸ Ἀκκαρὼν Γεμνὰ καὶ πᾶσαι, ὅσαι εἰσὶ πλησίον Ἀσηδώθ, καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν·
47Ashdod, its towns and its villages; Gaza, its towns and its villages; unto the Brook of Egypt, the Great Sea being the border thereof.
47Ἀσιεδὼθ καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῆς καὶ αἱ ἐπαύλεις αὐτῆς· Γάζα καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῆς καὶ αἱ ἐπαύλεις αὐτῆς ἕως τοῦ χειμάρρου Αἰγύπτου· καὶ ἡ θάλασσα ἡ μεγάλη διορίζει.
48And in the hill-country: Shamir, and Jattir, and Socoh;
48καὶ ἐν τῇ ὀρεινῇ· Σαμὶρ καὶ Ἰεθὲρ καὶ Σωχὰ
49and Dannah, and Kiriath-sannah — the same is Debir;
49καὶ Ρεννὰ καὶ Πόλις γραμμάτων (αὕτη Δαβὶρ)
50and Anab, and Eshtemoh, and Anim;
50καὶ Ἀνὼν καὶ Ἐσκαιμὰν καὶ Αἰσὰμ
51and Goshen, and Holon, and Giloh; eleven cities with their villages.
51καὶ Γοσὸμ καὶ Χαλοὺ καὶ Χαννά, πόλεις ἕνδεκα καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν·
52Arab, and Rumah, and Eshan;
52Αἰρὲμ καὶ Ρεμνὰ καὶ Σομὰ
53and Janum, and Beth-tappuah, and Aphekah;
53καὶ Ἰεμαΐν καὶ Βαιθαχοὺ καὶ Φακουὰ
54and Humtah, and Kiriath-arba — the same is Hebron, and Zior; nine cities with their villages.
54καὶ Εὐμὰ καὶ πόλις Ἀρβὸκ (αὕτη ἐστὶ Χεβρὼν) καὶ Σωραίθ, πόλεις ἐννέα καὶ αἱ ἐπαύλεις αὐτῶν·
55Maon, Carmel, and Ziph, and Juttah;
55Μαὼρ καὶ Χερμὲλ καὶ Ὀζὶβ καὶ Ἰτὰν
56and Jezreel, and Jokdeam, and Zanoah;
56καὶ Ἰαριὴλ καὶ Ἀρικὰμ καὶ Ζακαναΐμ
57Kain, Gibeah, and Timnah; ten cities with their villages.
57καὶ Γαβαὰ καὶ Θαμναθά, πόλεις ἐννέα καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν·
58Halhul, Beth-zur, and Gedor;
58Ἀλουὰ καὶ Βαιθσοὺρ καὶ Γεδδὼν
59and Maarath, and Beth-anoth, and Eltekon; six cities with their villages.
59καὶ Μαγαρὼθ καὶ Βαιθανὰμ καὶ Θεκούμ, πόλεις ἓξ καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν· Θεκὼ καὶ Ἐφραθὰ (αὕτη ἐστὶ Βηθλεὲμ) καὶ Φαγὼρ καὶ Αἰτὰν καὶ Κουλὸν καὶ Τατὰμ καὶ Θωβὴς καὶ Καρὲμ καὶ Γαλὲμ καὶ Θεθὴρ καὶ Μανοχώ, πόλεις ἕνδεκα καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν·
60Kiriath-baal — the same is Kiriath-jearim, and Rabbah; two cities with their villages.
60Καριαθβαὰλ (αὕτη ἡ πόλις Ἰαρὶμ) καὶ Σωθηβᾶ, πόλεις δύο καὶ αἱ ἐπαύλεις αὐτῶν
61In the wilderness: Beth-arabah, Middin, and Secacah;
61καὶ Βαδδαργεὶς καὶ Θαραβαὰμ καὶ Αἰνὼν
62and Nibshan, and the City of Salt, and En-gedi; six cities with their villages.
62καὶ Αἰχιοζὰ καὶ Ναφλαζὼν καὶ αἱ πόλεις Σαδὼν καὶ Ἀγκάδης, πόλεις ἑπτὰ καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν.
63And as for the Jebusites, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the children of Judah could not drive them out; but the Jebusites dwelt with the children of Judah at Jerusalem, unto this day.
63καὶ ὁ Ἰεβουσαῖος κατῴκει ἐν Ἱερουσαλήμ, καὶ οὐκ ἠδυνάσθησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰούδα ἀπολέσαι αὐτούς· καὶ κατῴκησαν οἱ Ἰεβουσαῖοι ἐν Ἱερουσαλὴμ ἕως τῆς ἡμέρας ταύτης.
