1And the whole congregation of the children of Israel assembled themselves together at Shiloh, and set up the tent of meeting there; and the land was subdued before them.
1ΚΑΙ ἐξεκκλησιάσθη πᾶσα συναγωγὴ υἱῶν Ἰσραὴλ εἰς Σηλὼ καὶ ἔπηξαν ἐκεῖ τὴν σκηνὴν τοῦ μαρτυρίου, καὶ ἡ γῆ ἐκρατήθη ὑπ' αὐτῶν.
2And there remained among the children of Israel seven tribes, which had not yet received their inheritance.
2καὶ κατελείφθησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραήλ, οἳ οὐκ ἐκληρονόμησαν, ἑπτὰ φυλαί.
3And Joshua said unto the children of Israel: 'How long are ye slack to go in to possess the land, which the LORD, the God of your fathers, hath given you?
3καὶ εἶπεν Ἰησοῦς τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἰσραήλ· ἕως τίνος ἐκλυθήσεσθε κληρονομῆσαι τὴν γῆν, ἣν ἔδωκε Κύριος ὁ Θεὸς ἡμῶν;
4Appoint for you three men for each tribe; and I will send them, and they shall arise, and walk through the land, and describe it according to their inheritance; and they shall come unto me.
4δότε ἐξ ὑμῶν ἄνδρας τρεῖς ἐκ φυλῆς, καὶ ἀναστάντες διελθέτωσαν τὴν γῆν καὶ διαγραψάτωσαν αὐτὴν ἐναντίον μου, καθὰ δεήσει διελεῖν αὐτήν (καὶ διήλθοσαν πρὸς αὐτόν,
5And they shall divide it into seven portions: Judah shall abide in his border on the south, and the house of Joseph shall abide in their border on the north.
5καὶ διεῖλεν αὐτοῖς ἑπτὰ μερίδας). Ἰούδας στήσεται αὐτοῖς ὅριον ἀπὸ λιβός, καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰωσὴφ στήσονται αὐτοῖς ἀπὸ βορρᾶ.
6And ye shall describe the land into seven portions, and bring the description hither to me; and I will cast lots for you here before the LORD our God.
6ὑμεῖς δὲ μερίσατε τὴν γῆν ἑπτὰ μερίδας καὶ ἐνέγκατε ὧδε πρός με, καὶ ἐξοίσω ὑμῖν κλῆρον ἔναντι Κυρίου τοῦ Θεοῦ ἡμῶν.
7For the Levites have no portion among you, for the priesthood of the LORD is their inheritance; and Gad and Reuben and the half-tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance beyond the Jordan eastward, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave them.'
7οὐ γάρ ἐστι μερὶς τοῖς υἱοῖς Λευὶ ἐν ὑμῖν, ἱερατεία γὰρ Κυρίου μερὶς αὐτοῦ· καὶ Γὰδ καὶ Ρουβὴν καὶ τὸ ἥμισυ φυλῆς Μανασσῆ ἐλάβοσαν τὴν κληρονομίαν αὐτῶν πέραν τοῦ Ἰορδάνου ἐπ' ἀνατολάς, ἣν ἔδωκεν αὐτοῖς Μωυσῆς ὁ παῖς Κυρίου.
8And the men arose, and went; and Joshua charged them that went to describe the land, saying: 'Go and walk through the land, and describe it, and come back to me, and I will cast lots for you here before the LORD in Shiloh.'
8καὶ ἀναστάντες οἱ ἄνδρες ἐπορεύθησαν, καὶ ἐνετείλατο Ἰησοῦς τοῖς ἀνδράσι τοῖς πορευομένοις χωροβατῆσαι τὴν γῆν λέγων· πορεύεσθε καὶ χωροβατήσατε τὴν γῆν καὶ παραγενήθητε πρός με, καὶ ὧδε ἐξοίσω ὑμῖν κλῆρον ἔναντι Κυρίου ἐν Σηλώ.
9And the men went and passed through the land, and described it by cities into seven portions in a book, and they came to Joshua unto the camp at Shiloh.
9καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν καὶ ἐχωροβάτησαν τὴν γῆν καὶ εἴδοσαν αὐτὴν καὶ ἔγραψαν αὐτὴν κατὰ πόλεις, ἑπτὰ μερίδας εἰς βιβλίον, καὶ ἤνεγκαν πρὸς Ἰησοῦν.
10And Joshua cast lots for them in Shiloh before the LORD; and there Joshua divided the land unto the children of Israel according to their divisions.
10καὶ ἐνέβαλεν αὐτοῖς Ἰησοῦς κλῆρον ἐν Σηλὼ ἔναντι Κυρίου.
11And the lot of the tribe of the children of Benjamin came up according to their families; and the border of their lot went out between the children of Judah and the children of Joseph.
11Καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ὁ κλῆρος φυλῆς Βενιαμὶν πρῶτος κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ὅρια τοῦ κλήρου αὐτῶν ἀνὰ μέσον υἱῶν Ἰούδα καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν υἱῶν Ἰωσήφ.
12And their border on the north side was from the Jordan; and the border went up to the side of Jericho on the north, and went up through the hill-country westward; and the goings out thereof were at the wilderness of Beth-aven.
12καὶ ἐγενήθη αὐτῶν τὰ ὅρια ἀπὸ βορρᾶ, ἀπὸ τοῦ Ἰορδάνου προσαναβήσεται τὰ ὅρια κατὰ νώτου Ἱεριχὼ ἀπὸ βορρᾶ καὶ ἀναβήσεται ἐπὶ τὸ ὄρος ἐπὶ τὴν θάλασσαν, καὶ ἔσται αὐτοῦ ἡ διέξοδος ἡ Μαβδαρῖτις Βαιθών,
13And the border passed along from thence to Luz, to the side of Luz — the same is Beth-el — southward; and the border went down to Atroth-addar, by the mountain that lieth on the south of Beth-horon the nether.
13καὶ διελεύσεται ἐκεῖθεν τὰ ὅρια Λουζὰ ἐπὶ νώτου Λουζὰ ἀπὸ λιβὸς (αὕτη ἐστὶ Βαιθήλ), καὶ καταβήσεται τὰ ὅρια Μααταρωθορὲχ ἐπὶ τὴν ὀρεινήν, ἥ ἐστι πρὸς λίβα Βαιθωρὼν ἡ κάτω,
14And the border was drawn and turned about on the west side southward, from the mountain that lieth before Beth-horon southward; and the goings out thereof were at Kiriath-baal — the same is Kiriath-jearim — a city of the children of Judah; this was the west side.
14καὶ διελεύσεται τὰ ὅρια καὶ περιελεύσεται ἐπὶ τὸ μέρος τὸ βλέπον παρὰ θάλασσαν ἀπὸ λιβὸς ἀπὸ τοῦ ὄρους ἐπὶ πρόσωπον Βαιθωρὼν λίβα, καὶ ἔσται αὐτοῦ ἡ διέξοδος εἰς Καριαθβάαλ (αὕτη ἐστὶ Καριαθιαρίν, πόλις υἱῶν Ἰούδα)· τοῦτό ἐστι τὸ μέρος τὸ πρὸς θάλασσαν.
15And the south side was from the uttermost part of Kiriath-jearim, and the border went out westward, and went out to the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah.
15καὶ μέρος τὸ πρὸς λίβα ἀπό μέρους Καριαθβάαλ, καὶ διελεύσεται ὅρια εἰς Γασὶν ἐπὶ πηγὴν ὕδατος Ναφθώ,
16And the border went down to the uttermost part of the mountain that lieth before the Valley of the son of Hinnom, which is in the vale of Rephaim northward; and it went down to the Valley of Hinnom, to the side of the Jebusite southward, and went down to En-rogel.
16καὶ καταβήσεται τὰ ὅρια ἐπὶ μέρους τοῦ ὄρους, ὅ ἐστι κατὰ πρόσωπον νάπης Ὀννάμ, ὅ ἐστιν ἐκ μέρους Ἐμεκραφαΐν ἀπὸ βορρᾶ, καὶ καταβήσεται Γαίεννα ἐπὶ νῶτον Ἰεβουσαὶ ἀπὸ λιβὸς καὶ καταβήσεται ἐπὶ πηγὴν Ρωγὴλ
17And it was drawn on the north, and went out at En-shemesh, and went out to Geliloth, which is over against the ascent of Adummim; and it went down to the Stone of Bohan the son of Reuben.
17καὶ διελεύσεται ἐπὶ πηγὴν Βαιθσαμὺς καὶ παρελεύσεται ἐπὶ Γαλιλώθ, ἥ ἐστιν ἀπέναντι πρὸς ἀνάβασαιν Αἰθαμίν, καὶ καταβήσεται ἐπὶ λίθον Βαιὼν υἱῶν Ρουβὴν
18And it passed along to the side over against the Arabah northward, and went down unto the Arabah.
18καὶ διελεύσεται κατὰ νώτου Βαιθάραβα ἀπὸ βορρᾶ, καὶ καταβήσεται ἐπὶ τὰ ὅρια ἐπὶ νῶτον θάλασσαν ἀπὸ βορρᾶ,
19And the border passed along to the side of Beth-hoglah northward; and the goings out of the border were at the north bay of the Salt Sea, at the south end of the Jordan; this was the south border.
19καὶ ἔσται ἡ διέξοδος τῶν ὁρίων ἐπὶ λοφιὰν τῆς θαλάσσης τῶν ἁλῶν ἐπὶ βορρᾶν εἰς μέρος τοῦ Ἰορδάνου ἀπὸ λιβός· ταῦτα τὰ ὅριά ἐστιν ἀπὸ λιβός.
20And the Jordan was to be the border of it on the east side. This was the inheritance of the children of Benjamin, by the borders thereof round about, according to their families.
20καὶ ὁ Ἰορδάνης ὁριεῖ ἀπὸ μέρους ἀνατολῶν. αὕτη ἡ κληρονομία υἱῶν Βενιαμίν, τὰ ὅρια αὐτῆς κύκλῳ κατὰ δήμους.
21Now the cities of the tribe of the children of Benjamin according to their families were Jericho, and Beth-hoglah, and Emek-keziz;
21καὶ ἐγενήθησαν αἱ πόλεις τῶν υἱῶν Βενιαμὶν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν Ἱεριχὼ καὶ Βεθεγαιὼ καὶ Ἀμεκασίς,
22and Beth-arabah, and Zemaraim, and Beth-el;
22καὶ Βαιθαβαρὰ καὶ Σαρὰ καὶ Βησανὰ
23and Avvim, and Parah, and Ophrah;
23καὶ Αἰεὶν καὶ Φαρὰ καὶ Ἐφραθὰ
24and Chephar-ammonah, and Ophni, and Geba; twelve cities with their villages:
24καὶ Καραφὰ καὶ Κεφιρὰ καὶ Μονὶ καὶ Γαβαά, πόλεις δώδεκα καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν·
25Gibeon, and Ramah, and Beeroth;
25Γαβαὼν καὶ Ραμὰ καὶ Βεηρωθὰ
26and Mizpeh, and Chephirah, and Mozah;
26καὶ Μασσημὰ καὶ Μιρὼν καὶ Ἀμωκὴ
27and Rekem, and Irpeel, and Taralah;
27καὶ Φιρὰ καὶ Καφὰν καὶ Νακὰν καὶ Σεληκὰν καὶ Θαρεηλὰ
28and Zela, Eleph, and the Jebusite — the same is Jerusalem, Gibeath, and Kiriath; fourteen cities with their villages. This is the inheritance of the children of Benjamin according to their families.
28καὶ Ἰεβοῦς (αὕτη ἐστὶν Ἱερουσαλὴμ) καὶ Γαβαωθιαρίμ, πόλεις δεκατρεῖς καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν. αὕτη ἡ κληρονομία υἱῶν Βενιαμὶν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν.
