1The word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah the prophet concerning the Philistines, before that Pharaoh smote Gaza.
1法老攻击 迦萨 之先，有耶和华论 非利士 人的话临到先知 耶利米 。
2Thus saith the LORD: Behold, waters rise up out of the north, and shall become an overflowing stream, and they shall overflow the land and all that is therein, the city and them that dwell therein; and the men shall cry, and all the inhabitants of the land shall wail.
2耶和华如此说： 有水从北方发起，成为涨溢的河， 要涨过遍地和其中所有的， 并城和其中所住的。 人必呼喊； 境内的居民都必哀号。
3At the noise of the stamping of the hoofs of his strong ones, at the rushing of his chariots, at the rumbling of his wheels, the fathers look not back to their children for feebleness of hands;
3听见敌人壮马蹄跳的响声 和战车隆隆、车轮轰轰； 为父的手就发软， 不回头看顾儿女。
4Because of the day that cometh to spoil all the Philistines, to cut off from Tyre and Zidon every helper that remaineth; for the LORD will spoil the Philistines, the remnant of the isle of Caphtor.
4因为日子将到， 要毁灭一切 非利士 人， 剪除帮助 泰尔 、 西顿 所剩下的人。 原来耶和华必毁灭 非利士 人， 就是 迦斐托 海岛余剩的人。
5Baldness is come upon Gaza, Ashkelon is brought to nought, the remnant of their valley; how long wilt thou cut thyself?
5迦萨 成了光秃； 平原中所剩的 亚实基伦 归于无有。 你用刀划身，要到几时呢？
6O thou sword of the LORD, how long will it be ere thou be quiet? Put up thyself into thy scabbard, rest, and be still.
6耶和华的刀剑哪，你到几时才止息呢？ 你要入鞘，安靖不动。
7How canst thou be quiet? for the LORD hath given it a charge; against Ashkelon, and against the sea-shore, there hath He appointed it.
7耶和华既吩咐你攻击 亚实基伦 和海边之地， 他已经派定你，焉能止息呢？
