1I saw the Lord standing beside the altar; and He said: Smite the capitals, that the posts may shake; and break them in pieces on the head of all of them; and I will slay the residue of them with the sword; there shall not one of them flee away, and there shall not one of them escape.
1ข้าพเจ้าเห็นพระผู้เป็นเจ้ายืนข้างแท่นบูชา พระองค์กล่าวว่า “จงตีหัวเสาให้ธรณีประตูสั่นสะเทือน ทุบให้แตกลงบนศีรษะของพวกเขาทุกคน เราจะฆ่าคนที่เหลือด้วยดาบ ไม่มีใครหนีไปได้ ไม่มีใครรอดไปได้
2Though they dig into the nether-world, thence shall My hand take them; and though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down.
2แม้พวกเขาขุดลงไปในเชโอล มือของเราก็จะจับพวกเขาจากที่นั่น แม้ปีนขึ้นไปบนฟ้าสวรรค์ เราก็จะนำพวกเขาลงมา
3And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out thence; and though they be hid from My sight in the bottom of the sea, thence will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them.
3แม้ซ่อนตัวบนยอดเขาคารเมล เราก็จะค้นหาและนำพวกเขาออกมาจากที่นั่น แม้ซ่อนตัวให้พ้นสายตาเราที่ก้นทะเล เราก็จะสั่งงูที่นั่นให้กัดพวกเขา
4And though they go into captivity before their enemies, thence will I command the sword, and it shall slay them; and I will set Mine eyes upon them for evil, and not for good.
4แม้ไปเป็นเชลยต่อหน้าศัตรู เราก็จะสั่งดาบที่นั่นให้ฆ่าพวกเขา เราจะจับตามองพวกเขาเพื่อให้เกิดภัยร้าย ไม่ใช่สิ่งดี
5For the Lord, the GOD of hosts, is He that toucheth the land and it melteth, and all that dwell therein mourn; and it riseth up wholly like the River, and sinketh again, like the River of Egypt;
5เพราะพระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระยาห์เวห์ แห่งกองทัพทั้งหลาย คือผู้แตะแผ่นดินแล้วแผ่นดินละลาย ทุกคนที่อาศัยอยู่จะไว้ทุกข์ แผ่นดินทั้งหมดจะยกตัวขึ้นเหมือนแม่น้ำ แล้วลดลงอีกเหมือนแม่น้ำแห่งอียิปต์
6It is He that buildeth His upper chambers in the heaven, and hath founded His vault upon the earth; He that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth; The LORD is His name.
6พระองค์สร้างห้องของพระองค์ในฟ้าสวรรค์ ตั้งโครงโค้งของพระองค์ไว้บนแผ่นดิน เรียกน้ำจากทะเลมาเทลงบนผืนแผ่นดิน พระยาห์เวห์คือชื่อของพระองค์
7Are ye not as the children of the Ethiopians unto Me, O children of Israel? saith the LORD. Have not I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt, and the Philistines from Caphtor, and Aram from Kir?
7ชาวอิสราเอล ในสายตาของเรา พวกคุณไม่เหมือนชาวเอธิโอเปียหรือ?” พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว “เราไม่ได้พาอิสราเอลขึ้นมาจากแผ่นดินอียิปต์ พาชาวฟีลิสเตียมาจากคัฟโทร์ และพาชาวซีเรียมาจากคีร์หรือ?
8Behold, the eyes of the Lord GOD are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth; saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, saith the LORD.
8จงใส่ใจ สายตาของพระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระยาห์เวห์ จับจ้องอาณาจักรที่ทำบาป เราจะทำลายให้หมดไปจากผืนแผ่นดิน แต่จะไม่ทำลายตระกูลยาโคบจนสิ้น” พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว
9For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all the nations, like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth.
9“จงใส่ใจ เราจะสั่งให้ร่อนตระกูลอิสราเอลในหมู่ชนชาติทั้งหลาย เหมือนร่อนธัญพืชในตะแกรง แต่แม้เมล็ดเล็กที่สุดก็จะไม่ตกถึงพื้น
10All the sinners of My people shall die by the sword, that say: 'The evil shall not overtake nor confront us.'
10คนบาปทุกคนในหมู่ประชาชนของเราจะตายด้วยดาบ คนที่พูดว่า ‘ภัยร้ายจะไม่ตามทันพวกเราหรือมาถึงพวกเรา’
11In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof, and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old;
11ในวันนั้น เราจะยกกระโจมของดาวิดที่ล้มลงขึ้นมา อุดช่องโหว่ ยกซากปรักหักพังขึ้น และสร้างใหม่เหมือนสมัยก่อน
12That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and all the nations, upon whom My name is called, saith the LORD that doeth this.
12เพื่อพวกเขาจะได้ครอบครองคนที่เหลืออยู่ของเอโดม และทุกชนชาติที่เรียกตามชื่อของเรา” พระยาห์เวห์ผู้ทำสิ่งนี้กล่าว
13Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.
13“จงใส่ใจ วันนั้นจะมาถึง” พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว “คนไถจะไล่ทันคนเกี่ยว คนย่ำองุ่นจะไล่ทันคนหว่านเมล็ด เหล้าองุ่นหวานจะหยดจากภูเขา และไหลจากเนินเขา
14And I will turn the captivity of My people Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.
14เราจะพาอิสราเอล ประชาชนของเรา กลับจากการเป็นเชลย พวกเขาจะสร้างเมืองที่พังแล้วขึ้นใหม่และอาศัยอยู่ ปลูกสวนองุ่นและดื่มเหล้าองุ่นจากสวนเหล่านั้น ทั้งจะทำสวน และกินผลจากสวน
15And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be plucked up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God.
15เราจะปลูกพวกเขาไว้ในแผ่นดินของตน พวกเขาจะไม่ถูกถอนออกจากแผ่นดินที่เราให้พวกเขาอีกเลย” พระยาห์เวห์ พระเจ้าของพวกคุณ กล่าว
