1וידבר יהוה אל משה לאמר׃
1And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
2זאת תהיה תורת המצרע ביום טהרתו והובא אל הכהן׃
2This is the rite of a leper, when he is to be cleansed: he shall be brought to the priest:
3ויצא הכהן אל מחוץ למחנה וראה הכהן והנה נרפא נגע הצרעת מן הצרוע׃
3Who going out of the camp when he shall And that the leprosy is cleansed,
4וצוה הכהן ולקח למטהר שתי צפרים חיות טהרות ועץ ארז ושני תולעת ואזב׃
4Shall command him that is to be purified, to offer for himself two living sparrows, which it is lawful to eat, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop.
5וצוה הכהן ושחט את הצפור האחת אל כלי חרש על מים חיים׃
5And he shall command one of the sparrows to be immolated in an earthen vessel over living waters:
6את הצפר החיה יקח אתה ואת עץ הארז ואת שני התולעת ואת האזב וטבל אותם ואת הצפר החיה בדם הצפר השחטה על המים החיים׃
6But the other that is alive he shall dip, with the cedar wood, and the scarlet and the hyssop, in the blood of the sparrow that is immolated:
7והזה על המטהר מן הצרעת שבע פעמים וטהרו ושלח את הצפר החיה על פני השדה׃
7Wherewith he shall sprinkle him that is to be cleansed seven times, that he may be rightly purified: and he shall let go the living sparrow, that it may fly into the field.
8וכבס המטהר את בגדיו וגלח את כל שערו ורחץ במים וטהר ואחר יבוא אל המחנה וישב מחוץ לאהלו שבעת ימים׃
8And when the man hath washed his clothes, he shall shave all the hair of his body, and shall be washed with water: and being purified, he shall enter into the camp, yet so that he tarry without his own tent seven days:
9והיה ביום השביעי יגלח את כל שערו את ראשו ואת זקנו ואת גבת עיניו ואת כל שערו יגלח וכבס את בגדיו ורחץ את בשרו במים וטהר׃
9And on the seventh day he shall shave the hair of his head, and his beard and his eyebrows, and the hair of all his body. And having washed again his clothes, and his body,
10וביום השמיני יקח שני כבשים תמימים וכבשה אחת בת שנתה תמימה ושלשה עשרנים סלת מנחה בלולה בשמן ולג אחד שמן׃
10On the eighth day he shall take two lambs without blemish, and an ewe of a year old without blemish, and three tenths of flour tempered with oil for a sacrifice, and a sextary of oil apart.
11והעמיד הכהן המטהר את האיש המטהר ואתם לפני יהוה פתח אהל מועד׃
11And when the priest that purifieth the man, hath presented him, and all these things before the Lord, at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony,
12ולקח הכהן את הכבש האחד והקריב אתו לאשם ואת לג השמן והניף אתם תנופה לפני יהוה׃
12He shall take a. lamb, and offer it for a trespass offering with the sextary of oil: and having offered all before the Lord,
13ושחט את הכבש במקום אשר ישחט את החטאת ואת העלה במקום הקדש כי כחטאת האשם הוא לכהן קדש קדשים הוא׃
13He shall immolate the lamb, where the victim for sin is wont to be immolated, and the holocaust, that is, in the holy place: for as that which is for sin, so also the victim for a trespass offering pertaineth to the priest: it is holy of holies.
14ולקח הכהן מדם האשם ונתן הכהן על תנוך אזן המטהר הימנית ועל בהן ידו הימנית ועל בהן רגלו הימנית׃
14And the priest taking of the blood of the victim that was immolated for trespass, shall put it upon the tip of the right ear of him that is cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand and the great toe of his right foot:
15ולקח הכהן מלג השמן ויצק על כף הכהן השמאלית׃
15And he shall pour of the sextary of oil into his own left. hand,
16וטבל הכהן את אצבעו הימנית מן השמן אשר על כפו השמאלית והזה מן השמן באצבעו שבע פעמים לפני יהוה׃
16And shall dip his right finger in it, and sprinkle it before the Lord seven times.
17ומיתר השמן אשר על כפו יתן הכהן על תנוך אזן המטהר הימנית ועל בהן ידו הימנית ועל בהן רגלו הימנית על דם האשם׃
17And the rest of the oil in his left band, he shall pour upon the tip of the right ear of him that is cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand and the great toe of his right foot, and upon the blood that was shed for trespass,
18והנותר בשמן אשר על כף הכהן יתן על ראש המטהר וכפר עליו הכהן לפני יהוה׃
18And upon his head.
19ועשה הכהן את החטאת וכפר על המטהר מטמאתו ואחר ישחט את העלה׃
19And he shall pray for him before the Lord, and shall offer the sacrifice for sin: then shall he immolate the holocaust,
20והעלה הכהן את העלה ואת המנחה המזבחה וכפר עליו הכהן וטהר׃
20And put it on the altar with the libations thereof, and the man shall be rightly cleansed.
21ואם דל הוא ואין ידו משגת ולקח כבש אחד אשם לתנופה לכפר עליו ועשרון סלת אחד בלול בשמן למנחה ולג שמן׃
21But if he be poor, and his hand cannot find the things aforesaid: he shall take a lamb for an offering for trespass, that the priest may pray for him, and a tenth part of hour tempered with oil for a sacrifice, and a sextary of oil,
22ושתי תרים או שני בני יונה אשר תשיג ידו והיה אחד חטאת והאחד עלה׃
22And two turtles or two young pigeons, of which one may be for sin, and the other for a holocaust:
23והביא אתם ביום השמיני לטהרתו אל הכהן אל פתח אהל מועד לפני יהוה׃
23And he shall offer them on the eighth day of his purification to the priest, at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony before the Lord.
24ולקח הכהן את כבש האשם ואת לג השמן והניף אתם הכהן תנופה לפני יהוה׃
24And the priest receiving the lamb for trespass, and the sextary of oil, shall elevate them together.
25ושחט את כבש האשם ולקח הכהן מדם האשם ונתן על תנוך אזן המטהר הימנית ועל בהן ידו הימנית ועל בהן רגלו הימנית׃
25And the lamb being immolated, he shall put of the blood thereof upon the tip of the right ear of him that is cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and the great toe of his right foot:
26ומן השמן יצק הכהן על כף הכהן השמאלית׃
26But he shall pour part of the oil into his own left hand,
27והזה הכהן באצבעו הימנית מן השמן אשר על כפו השמאלית שבע פעמים לפני יהוה׃
27And dipping the finger of his right hand in it, he shall sprinkle it seven times before the Lord:
28ונתן הכהן מן השמן אשר על כפו על תנוך אזן המטהר הימנית ועל בהן ידו הימנית ועל בהן רגלו הימנית על מקום דם האשם׃
28And he shall touch the tip of the right ear of him that is cleansed, and the thumb of his right hand and the great toe of his right foot, in the place of the blood that was shed for trespass.
29והנותר מן השמן אשר על כף הכהן יתן על ראש המטהר לכפר עליו לפני יהוה׃
29And the other part of the oil that is in his left hand, he shall pour upon the head of the purified person, that he may appease the Lord for him.
30ועשה את האחד מן התרים או מן בני היונה מאשר תשיג ידו׃
30And he shall offer a turtle, or young pigeon,
31את אשר תשיג ידו את האחד חטאת ואת האחד עלה על המנחה וכפר הכהן על המטהר לפני יהוה׃
31One for trespass, and the other for a holocaust, with their libations.
32זאת תורת אשר בו נגע צרעת אשר לא תשיג ידו בטהרתו׃
32This is the sacrifice of a leper, that is not able to have all things that appertain to his cleansing.
33וידבר יהוה אל משה ואל אהרן לאמר׃
33And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying:
34כי תבאו אל ארץ כנען אשר אני נתן לכם לאחזה ונתתי נגע צרעת בבית ארץ אחזתכם׃
34When you shall be come into the land of Chanaan, which I will give you for a possession, if there be the plague of leprosy in a house,
35ובא אשר לו הבית והגיד לכהן לאמר כנגע נראה לי בבית׃
35He whose house it is, shall go and tell the priest, saying: It seemeth to me, that there is the plague of leprosy in my house,
36וצוה הכהן ופנו את הבית בטרם יבא הכהן לראות את הנגע ולא יטמא כל אשר בבית ואחר כן יבא הכהן לראות את הבית׃
36And he shall command, that they carry forth all things out of the house, before he go into it, and see whether it have the leprosy, lest all things become unclean that are in the house. And afterwards he shall go in to view the leprosy of the house.
37וראה את הנגע והנה הנגע בקירת הבית שקערורת ירקרקת או אדמדמת ומראיהן שפל מן הקיר׃
37And if he see in the walls thereof as it were little dints, disfigured with paleness or redness, and lower than all the rest,
38ויצא הכהן מן הבית אל פתח הבית והסגיר את הבית שבעת ימים׃
38He shall go out of the door of the house, and forthwith shut it up seven days,
39ושב הכהן ביום השביעי וראה והנה פשה הנגע בקירת הבית׃
39And returning on the seventh day, he shall look upon it. If he find that the leprosy is spread,
40וצוה הכהן וחלצו את האבנים אשר בהן הנגע והשליכו אתהן אל מחוץ לעיר אל מקום טמא׃
40He shall command, that the stones wherein the leprosy is, be taken out, and cast without the city into an unclean place:
41ואת הבית יקצע מבית סביב ושפכו את העפר אשר הקצו אל מחוץ לעיר אל מקום טמא׃
41And that the house be scraped on the inside round about, and the dust of the scraping be scattered without the city into an unclean place:
42ולקחו אבנים אחרות והביאו אל תחת האבנים ועפר אחר יקח וטח את הבית׃
42And that other stones be laid in the place of them that were taken away, and the house be plastered with other mortar.
43ואם ישוב הנגע ופרח בבית אחר חלץ את האבנים ואחרי הקצות את הבית ואחרי הטוח׃
43But if, after the stones be taken out, and the dust scraped off, and it be plastered with other earth,
44ובא הכהן וראה והנה פשה הנגע בבית צרעת ממארת הוא בבית טמא הוא׃
44The priest going in perceive that the leprosy is returned, and the walls full of spots, it is a lasting leprosy, and the house is unclean:
45ונתץ את הבית את אבניו ואת עציו ואת כל עפר הבית והוציא אל מחוץ לעיר אל מקום טמא׃
45And they shall destroy it forthwith, and shall cast the stones and timber thereof, and all the dust without the town into an unclean place.
46והבא אל הבית כל ימי הסגיר אתו יטמא עד הערב׃
46He that entereth into the house when it is shut, shall be unclean until evening,
47והשכב בבית יכבס את בגדיו והאכל בבית יכבס את בגדיו׃
47And he that sleepeth in it, and eateth any thing, shall wash his clothes.
48ואם בא יבא הכהן וראה והנה לא פשה הנגע בבית אחרי הטח את הבית וטהר הכהן את הבית כי נרפא הנגע׃
48But if the priest going in perceive that the leprosy is not spread in the house, after it was plastered again, he shall purify it, it being cured,
49ולקח לחטא את הבית שתי צפרים ועץ ארז ושני תולעת ואזב׃
49And for the purification thereof he shall take two sparrows, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop:
50ושחט את הצפר האחת אל כלי חרש על מים חיים׃
50And having immolated one sparrow In an earthen vessel over living waters,
51ולקח את עץ הארז ואת האזב ואת שני התולעת ואת הצפר החיה וטבל אתם בדם הצפר השחוטה ובמים החיים והזה אל הבית שבע פעמים׃
51He shall take the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the scarlet, and the living sparrow, and shall dip all in the blood of the sparrow that is immolated, and in the living water, and he shall sprinkle the house seven times:
52וחטא את הבית בדם הצפור ובמים החיים ובצפר החיה ובעץ הארז ובאזב ובשני התולעת׃
52And shall purify it as well with the blood of the sparrow, as with the living water, and with the living sparrow, and with the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the scarlet.
53ושלח את הצפר החיה אל מחוץ לעיר אל פני השדה וכפר על הבית וטהר׃
53And when he hath let go the sparrow to fly freely away into the field, he shall pray for the house, and it shall be rightly cleansed.
54זאת התורה לכל נגע הצרעת ולנתק׃
54This is the law of every kind of leprosy and stroke.
55ולצרעת הבגד ולבית׃
55Of the leprosy of garments and houses,
56ולשאת ולספחת ולבהרת׃
56Of a scar and of blisters breaking out, of a shining spot, and when the colours are diversely changed:
57להורת ביום הטמא וביום הטהר זאת תורת הצרעת׃
57That it may be known when a thing is clean or unclean.
