1אלה בני ישראל ראובן שמעון לוי ויהודה יששכר וזבלון׃
1And these are the sons of Israel: Ruben, Simeon, Levi, Juda, Issachar, and Zabulon,
2דן יוסף ובנימן נפתלי גד ואשר׃
2Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Nephtali, Gad, and Aser.
3בני יהודה ער ואונן ושלה שלושה נולד לו מבת שוע הכנענית ויהי ער בכור יהודה רע בעיני יהוה וימיתהו׃
3The sons of Juda: Her, Onan and Sela. These three were born to him of the Chanaanitess the daughter of Sue. And Her the firstborn of Juda, was wicked in the sight of the Lord, and he slew him.
4ותמר כלתו ילדה לו את פרץ ואת זרח כל בני יהודה חמשה׃
4And Thamar his daughter in law bore him Phares and Zara. So all the sons of Juda were five.
5בני פרץ חצרון וחמול׃
5And the sons of Phares, were Hesron and Hamul.
6ובני זרח זמרי ואיתן והימן וכלכל ודרע כלם חמשה׃
6And the sons also of Zare: Zamri, and Ethan, and Eman, and Chalchal, and Dara, five in all.
7ובני כרמי עכר עוכר ישראל אשר מעל בחרם׃
7And the sons of a Charmi: Achar, who troubled Israel, and sinned by the theft of the anathema.
8ובני איתן עזריה׃
8The sons of Ethan: Azarias,
9ובני חצרון אשר נולד לו את ירחמאל ואת רם ואת כלובי׃
9And the sons of Hesron that were born to him: Jerameel, and Ram, and Calubi.
10ורם הוליד את עמינדב ועמינדב הוליד את נחשון נשיא בני יהודה׃
10And Ram beget Aminadab, and Aminadab beget Nahasson, prince of the children of Juda.
11ונחשון הוליד את שלמא ושלמא הוליד את בעז׃
11And Nahasson beget Salma, the father of Boot.
12ובעז הוליד את עובד ועובד הוליד את ישי׃
12And Boot beget Obed, and Obed beget Isai.
13ואישי הוליד את בכרו את אליאב ואבינדב השני ושמעא השלישי׃
13And Isai beget Eliab his firstborn, the second Abinadab, the third Simmaa,
14נתנאל הרביעי רדי החמישי׃
14The fourth, Nathanael, the fifth Raddai,
15אצם הששי דויד השבעי׃
15The sixth Asom, the seventh David.
16ואחיתיהם צרויה ואביגיל ובני צרויה אבשי ויואב ועשה אל שלשה׃

17ואביגיל ילדה את עמשא ואבי עמשא יתר הישמעאלי׃

18וכלב בן חצרון הוליד את עזובה אשה ואת יריעות ואלה בניה ישר ושובב וארדון׃
18And Caleb the son of Hesron took a wife named Azuba, of whom he had Jerioth: and her sons were Jaser, and Sobab, and Ardon.
19ותמת עזובה ויקח לו כלב את אפרת ותלד לו את חור׃
19And when Azuba was dead, Caleb took to wife Ephrata: who bore him Hur.
20וחור הוליד את אורי ואורי הוליד את בצלאל׃
20And Hur beget Uri: and Uri beget Bezeleel.
21ואחר בא חצרון אל בת מכיר אבי גלעד והוא לקחה והוא בן ששים שנה ותלד לו את שגוב׃
21And afterwards Hesron went in to the daughter of Machir the father of Galaad, and took her to wife when he was threescore years old: and she bore him Segub.
22ושגוב הוליד את יאיר ויהי לו עשרים ושלוש ערים בארץ הגלעד׃
22And Segub beget Jair, and he had three and twenty cities in the land of Galaad.
23ויקח גשור וארם את חות יאיר מאתם את קנת ואת בנתיה ששים עיר כל אלה בני מכיר אבי גלעד׃
23And he took Gessur, and Aram the towns of Jair, and Canath, and the villages thereof, threescore cities. All these, the sons of Machir father of Galaad.
24ואחר מות חצרון בכלב אפרתה ואשת חצרון אביה ותלד לו את אשחור אבי תקוע׃
24And when Hesron was dead, Caleb went in to Ephrata. Hesron also had to wife Abia who bore him Ashur the father of Thecua.
25ויהיו בני ירחמאל בכור חצרון הבכור רם ובונה וארן ואצם אחיה׃
25And the sons of Jerameel the firstborn of Hesron, were Ram his firstborn, and Buna, and Aram, and Asom, and Achia.
26ותהי אשה אחרת לירחמאל ושמה עטרה היא אם אונם׃
26And Jerameel married another wife, named Atara, who was the mother of Onam.
27ויהיו בני רם בכור ירחמאל מעץ וימין ועקר׃
27And the sons of Ram the firstborn of Jerameel, were Moos, Jamin, and Achar.
28ויהיו בני אונם שמי וידע ובני שמי נדב ואבישור׃
28And Onam had sons Semei, and Jada. And the sons of Semei: Nadab, and Abisur.
29ושם אשת אבישור אביהיל ותלד לו את אחבן ואת מוליד׃
29And the name of Abisur’s wife was Abihail, who bore him Ahobban, and Molid.
30ובני נדב סלד ואפים וימת סלד לא בנים׃
30And the sons of Nadab were Saled, and Apphaim. And Saled died without children.
31ובני אפים ישעי ובני ישעי ששן ובני ששן אחלי׃
31But the son of Apphaim was Jesi: and Jesi beget Sesan. And Sesan beget Oholai.
32ובני ידע אחי שמי יתר ויונתן וימת יתר לא בנים׃
32And the sons of Jada the brother of Semei: Jether and Jonathan. And Jether also died without children.
33ובני יונתן פלת וזזא אלה היו בני ירחמאל׃
33But Jonathan beget Phaleth, and Ziza, These were the sons of Jerameel.
34ולא היה לששן בנים כי אם בנות ולששן עבד מצרי ושמו ירחע׃
34And Sesan had no sons, but daughters and a servant an Egyptian, named Jeraa.
35ויתן ששן את בתו לירחע עבדו לאשה ותלד לו את עתי׃
35And he gave him his daughter to wife: and she bore him Ethei.
36ועתי הליד את נתן ונתן הוליד את זבד׃
36And Ethei begot Nathan, and Nathan beget Zabad.
37וזבד הוליד את אפלל ואפלל הוליד את עובד׃
37And Zabad beget Ophlal, and Ophlal beget Obed.
38ועובד הוליד את יהוא ויהוא הוליד את עזריה׃
38Obed beget Jehu, Jehu beget Azarias.
39ועזריה הליד את חלץ וחלץ הליד את אלעשה׃
39Azarias beget Helles, and Helles begot Elasa.
40ואלעשה הליד את ססמי וססמי הליד את שלום׃
40Elasa beget Sisamoi, Sisamoi beget Sellum,
41ושלום הוליד את יקמיה ויקמיה הליד את אלישמע׃
41Sellum beget Icamia, and Icamia begot Elisama.
42ובני כלב אחי ירחמאל מישע בכרו הוא אבי זיף ובני מרשה אבי חברון׃
42Now the sons of Caleb the brother of Jerameel were Mesa his firstborn, who was the father of Siph: and the sons of Maresa father of Hebron.
43ובני חברון קרח ותפח ורקם ושמע׃
43And the sons of Hebron, Core, and Thaphua, and Recem, and Samma.
44ושמע הוליד את רחם אבי ירקעם ורקם הוליד את שמי׃
44And Samma beget Raham, the father of Jercaam, and Recem beget Sammai.
45ובן שמי מעון ומעון אבי בית צור׃
45The son of Sammai, Maon: and Maon the father of Bethsur.
46ועיפה פילגש כלב ילדה את חרן ואת מוצא ואת גזז וחרן הליד את גזז׃
46And Epha the concubine of Caleb bore Haran, and Mesa, and Gezez. And Haran beget Gezez.
47ובני יהדי רגם ויותם וגישן ופלט ועיפה ושעף׃
47And the sons of Jahaddai, Rogom, and Joathan, and Gesan, and Phalet, and Epha, and Saaph.
48פלגש כלב מעכה ילד שבר ואת תרחנה׃
48And Maacha the concubine of Caleb bore Saber, and Tharana.
49ותלד שעף אבי מדמנה את שוא אבי מכבנה ואבי גבעא ובת כלב עכסה׃
49And Saaph the father of Madmena beget Sue the father of Machbena, and the father of Gabaa. And the daughter of Caleb was Achsa.
50אלה היו בני כלב בן חור בכור אפרתה שובל אבי קרית יערים׃
50These were the sons of Caleb, the son of Hur the firstborn of Ephrata, Sobal the father of Cariathiarim.
51שלמא אבי בית לחם חרף אבי בית גדר׃
51Salma the father of Bethlehem, Hariph the father of Bethgader.
52ויהיו בנים לשובל אבי קרית יערים הראה חצי המנחות׃
52And Sobal the father of Cariathiarim had sons: he that saw half of the places of rest.
53ומשפחות קרית יערים היתרי והפותי והשמתי והמשרעי מאלה יצאו הצרעתי והאשתאלי׃
53And of the kindred of Cariathiarim, the Jethrites, and Aphuthites, and Semathites, and Maserites. Of them came the Saraites, and Esthaolites.
54בני שלמא בית לחם ונטופתי עטרות בית יואב וחצי המנחתי הצרעי׃
54The sons of Salma, Bethlehem, and Netophathi, the crowns of the house of Joab, and half of the place of rest of Sarai.
55ומשפחות ספרים ישבו יעבץ תרעתים שמעתים שוכתים המה הקינים הבאים מחמת אבי בית רכב׃
55And the families of the scribes that dwell in Jabes, singing and making melody, and abiding in tents. These are the Cinites, who came of Calor (Chamath) father of the house of Rechab,
