1ᾨδὴ τῶν ἀναβαθμῶν. ΗΡΑ τοὺς ὀφθαλμούς μου εἰς τὰ ὄρη, ὅθεν ἥξει ἡ βοήθειά μου.
1In my distress I cried unto the LORD , and he heard me.
2ἡ βοήθειά μου παρὰ Κυρίου τοῦ ποιήσαντος τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ τὴν γῆν.
2Deliver my soul, O LORD , from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.
3μὴ δῴης εἰς σάλον τὸν πόδα σου, μηδὲ νυστάξῃ ὁ φυλάσσων σε.
3What shall be given unto thee? or what shall be done unto thee, thou false tongue?
4ἰδοὺ οὐ νυστάξει οὐδὲ ὑπνώσει ὁ φυλάσσων τὸν Ἰσραήλ.
4Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper.
5Κύριος φυλάξει σε, Κύριος σκέπη σοι ἐπὶ χεῖρα δεξιάν σου·
5Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar!
6ἡμέρας ὁ ἥλιος οὐ συγκαύσει σε, οὐδὲ ἡ σελήνη τὴν νύκτα.
6My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace.
7Κύριος φυλάξει σε ἀπὸ παντὸς κακοῦ, φυλάξει τὴν ψυχήν σου ὁ Κύριος.
7I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war.
8Κύριος φυλάξει τὴν εἴσοδόν σου καὶ τὴν ἔξοδόν σου ἀπὸ τοῦ νῦν καὶ ἕως τοῦ αἰῶνος.
