1There is now therefore no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus, who walk not according to the flesh.
1Portanto, agora já não há condenação para os que estão em Cristo Jesus, que não andam segundo a carne, mas segundo o Espírito.
2For the law of the spirit of life, in Christ Jesus, hath delivered me from the law of sin and of death.
2Porque a lei do Espírito da vida, em Cristo Jesus, me libertou da lei do pecado e da morte.
3For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh; God sending his own Son, in the likeness of sinful flesh and of sin, hath condemned sin in the flesh;
3Porque o que a lei não podia fazer, visto que estava enfraquecida pela carne, Deus fez: enviando seu próprio Filho em semelhança da carne pecaminosa e por causa do pecado, ele condenou o pecado na carne,
4That the justification of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the spirit.
4para que a justa exigência da lei se cumprisse em nós, que não andamos segundo a carne, mas segundo o Espírito.
5For they that are according to the flesh, mind the things that are of the flesh; but they that are according to the spirit, mind the things that are of the spirit.
5Pois os que vivem segundo a carne têm a mente voltada para as coisas da carne, mas os que vivem segundo o Espírito, para as coisas do Espírito.
6For the wisdom of the flesh is death; but the wisdom of the spirit is life and peace.
6Porque a mentalidade da carne é morte, mas a mentalidade do Espírito é vida e paz;
7Because the wisdom of the flesh is an enemy to God; for it is not subject to the law of God, neither can it be.
7porque a mentalidade da carne é hostil a Deus, pois não se sujeita à lei de Deus, nem mesmo pode fazê-lo.
8And they who are in the flesh, cannot please God.
8Os que estão na carne não podem agradar a Deus.
9But you are not in the flesh, but in the spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
9Vocês, porém, não estão na carne, mas no Espírito, se é que o Espírito de Deus habita em vocês. Mas, se alguém não tem o Espírito de Cristo, esse tal não é dele.
10And if Christ be in you, the body indeed is dead, because of sin; but the spirit liveth, because of justification.
10Se Cristo está em vocês, o corpo está morto por causa do pecado, mas o espírito está vivo por causa da justiça.
11And if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead, dwell in you; he that raised up Jesus Christ from the dead, shall quicken also your mortal bodies, because of his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
11Mas, se o Espírito daquele que ressuscitou Jesus dentre os mortos habita em vocês, aquele que ressuscitou Cristo Jesus dentre os mortos também dará vida aos seus corpos mortais, por meio do seu Espírito que habita em vocês.
12Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh.
12Assim, pois, irmãos, somos devedores, não à carne, para vivermos segundo a carne.
13For if you live according to the flesh, you shall die: but if by the Spirit you mortify the deeds of the flesh, you shall live.
13Porque, se vocês viverem segundo a carne, certamente morrerão; mas, se pelo Espírito fizerem morrer as obras do corpo, vocês viverão.
14For whosoever are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
14Pois todos os que são guiados pelo Espírito de Deus, esses são filhos de Deus.
15For you have not received the spirit of bondage again in fear; but you have received the spirit of adoption of sons, whereby we cry: Abba (Father).
15Porque vocês não receberam um espírito de escravidão que os leve novamente ao medo, mas receberam o Espírito de adoção, por meio do qual clamamos: “Aba! Pai!”
16For the Spirit himself giveth testimony to our spirit, that we are the sons of God.
16O próprio Espírito testemunha com o nosso espírito que somos filhos de Deus;
17And if sons, heirs also; heirs indeed of God, and joint heirs with Christ: yet so, if we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified with him.
17e, se filhos, então herdeiros — herdeiros de Deus e coerdeiros com Cristo, se de fato sofremos com ele, para que também sejamos glorificados com ele.
18For I reckon that the sufferings of this time are not worthy to be compared with the glory to come, that shall be revealed in us.
18Pois considero que os sofrimentos deste tempo presente não se comparam com a glória que será revelada em nós.
19For the expectation of the creature waiteth for the revelation of the sons of God.
19Porque a criação aguarda ansiosamente a revelação dos filhos de Deus.
20For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him that made it subject, in hope:
20Pois a criação foi sujeita à vaidade, não por sua própria vontade, mas por causa daquele que a sujeitou, na esperança
21Because the creature also itself shall be delivered from the servitude of corruption, into the liberty of the glory of the children of God.
21de que a própria criação também será liberta da escravidão da corrupção para a liberdade da glória dos filhos de Deus.
22For we know that every creature groaneth and travaileth in pain, even till now.
22Porque sabemos que toda a criação geme e sofre como em dores de parto até agora.
23And not only it, but ourselves also, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption of the sons of God, the redemption of our body.
23E não somente ela, mas também nós, que temos as primícias do Espírito, gememos em nosso íntimo, aguardando a adoção, a redenção do nosso corpo.
24For we are saved by hope. But hope that is seen, is not hope. For what a man seeth, why doth he hope for?
24Porque na esperança fomos salvos. Mas a esperança que se vê não é esperança. Pois quem espera por aquilo que está vendo?
25But if we hope for that which we see not, we wait for it with patience.
25Mas, se esperamos por aquilo que não vemos, com paciência o aguardamos.
26Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmity. For we know not what we should pray for as we ought; but the Spirit himself asketh for us with unspeakable groanings.
26Da mesma forma, o Espírito também nos ajuda em nossas fraquezas, pois não sabemos como orar como convém. Mas o próprio Espírito intercede por nós com gemidos inexprimíveis.
27And he that searcheth the hearts, knoweth what the Spirit desireth; because he asketh for the saints according to God.
27E aquele que sonda os corações sabe qual é a mente do Espírito, porque ele intercede pelos santos de acordo com a vontade de Deus.
28And we know that to them that love God, all things work together unto good, to such as, according to his purpose, are called to be saints.
28Sabemos que todas as coisas cooperam para o bem daqueles que amam a Deus, daqueles que são chamados segundo o seu propósito.
29For whom he foreknew, he also predestinated to be made conformable to the image of his Son; that he might be the firstborn amongst many brethren.
29Pois os que ele conheceu de antemão, também os predestinou para serem conformes à imagem de seu Filho, a fim de que ele seja o primogênito entre muitos irmãos.
30And whom he predestinated, them he also called. And whom he called, them he also justified. And whom he justified, them he also glorified.
30E aos que predestinou, a esses também chamou. E aos que chamou, a esses também justificou. E aos que justificou, a esses também glorificou.
31What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who is against us?
31O que diremos, então, diante destas coisas? Se Deus é por nós, quem será contra nós?
32He that spared not even his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how hath he not also, with him, given us all things?
32Aquele que não poupou seu próprio Filho, mas o entregou por todos nós, como não nos dará também com ele, graciosamente, todas as coisas?
33Who shall accuse against the elect of God? God that justifieth.
33Quem trará alguma acusação contra os eleitos de Deus? É Deus quem os justifica.
34Who is he that shall condemn? Christ Jesus that died, yea that is risen also again; who is at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
34Quem é aquele que condena? É Cristo quem morreu, ou melhor, quem ressuscitou dentre os mortos, o qual está à direita de Deus, e que também intercede por nós.
35Who then shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation? or distress? or famine? or nakedness? or danger? or persecution? or the sword?
35Quem nos separará do amor de Cristo? Será a tribulação, ou a angústia, ou a perseguição, ou a fome, ou a nudez, ou o perigo, ou a espada?
36(As it is written: For thy sake we are put to death all the day long. We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.)
36Como está escrito: “Por amor de ti somos mortos o dia todo. Fomos considerados como ovelhas para o matadouro.”
37But in all these things we overcome, because of him that hath loved us.
37Não, em todas estas coisas somos mais que vencedores, por meio daquele que nos amou.
38For I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor might,
38Pois estou convencido de que nem a morte, nem a vida, nem os anjos, nem os principados, nem as coisas presentes, nem as coisas futuras, nem os poderes,
39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
39nem a altura, nem a profundidade, nem qualquer outra coisa criada poderá nos separar do amor de Deus, que está em Cristo Jesus, nosso Senhor.
