1Then Eliphaz the Themanite answered, and said:
1Na Eliphaz el fahk,
2Can man be compared with God, even though he were of perfect knowledge?
2“Ku oasr sie mwet, finne mwet ma lalmwetmet emeet uh, Su oasr sripa nu sin God?
3What doth it profit God if thou be just? or what dost thou give him if thy way be unspotted?
3Ku orekma lom fin arulana suwohs, ya ac akwoye God? Kom fin tia oru kutena ma koluk, ya ac ku in kasrel?
4Shall he reprove thee for fear, and come with thee into judgment:
4Tia ke sripen kom sangeng sin God Pa oru Elan kai kom, ku nununkekom an.
5And not for thy manifold wickedness, and thy infinite iniquities?
5Mo, ma ke sripen arulana yokla ma koluk lom; Oayapa ke ma koluk nukewa ma kom oru an.
6For thou hast taken away the pledge of thy brethren without cause, and stripped the naked of their clothing.
6Ke kom oru tuh sie mwet lim in akfalyela mani ma el ngisrala sum uh, Oana kom in sarukla nuknuk ma el nukum uh ac oru tuh elan koflufolla.
7Thou hast not given water to the weary, thou hast withdrawn bread from the hungry.
7Kom tuh srunga sang kof nimen mwet su totola, Ac sranga pac sang mwe mongo nu selos su masrinsral.
8In the strength of thy arm thou didst possess the land, and being the most mighty thou holdest it.
8Kom tuh orekmakin ku lom ac wal lom In eisla acn uh nufon.
9Thou hast sent widows away empty, and the arms of the fatherless thou hast broken in pieces.
9Kom tia falkin lah kom tia wi kasru katinmas, A kom oayapa pisre ma lun tulik mukaimtal, ac oralos koluk.
10Therefore art thou surrounded with snares, and sudden fear troubleth thee.
10Ke ma inge sruhf puspis raunikomla ac akola in sruokkomi, Ac inge kom muta in sangeng na lulap.
11And didst thou think that thou shouldst not see darkness, and that thou shouldst not be covered with the violence of overflowing waters?
11Arulana yokla lohsr ingena, oru kom tia ku in liye, Ac sie sronot lulap afinkomla.
12Dost not thou think that God is higher than heaven, and is elevated above the height of the stars?
12“Ya God El tia muta yen fulatlana inkusrao Ac ngeti nu fin itu uh, finne itu uh oan yen fulat?
13And thou sayst: What doth God know? and he judgeth as it were through a mist.
13A kom siyuk, ‘Mea God El etu? Pukunyeng uh okanulla, na El ac nununkekut fuka?’
14The clouds are his covert, and he doth not consider our things, and he walketh about the poles of heaven.
14Kom nunku mu pukunyeng matoltol uh kosrala mutal Elan tia liye, Ke El forfor fin acn engyeng uh.
15Dost thou desire to keep the path of ages, which wicked men have trodden?
15“Ya kom wotela sum tari mu kom ac fahsrna ke inkanek Ma mwet koluk uh fahsr kac pacl nukewa uh?
16Who were taken away before their time, and a flood hath overthrown their foundation.
16Meet liki na pacl in misa lalos, Elos pahtkakinyukla tari ke sie sronot.
17Who said to God: Depart from us: and looked upon the Almighty as if he could do nothing:
17Mwet inge mwet pilesru God, Ac elos nunku mu wangin ma El ku in oru nu selos.
18Whereas he had filled their houses with good things: whose way of thinking be far from me.
18Sruhk God pa tuh akinsewowoyalos ke kasrpalos — Nga tia ku in kalem ke nunak lun mwet koluk uh.
19The just shall see, and shall rejoice, and the innocent shall laugh them to scorn.
19Mwet wo uh engan, ac mwet wangin mwata elos israsr Ke elos liye lah kalyeiyuk mwet koluk uh.
20Is not their exaltation cut down, and hath not fire devoured the remnants of them?
20Ma nukewa lun mwet koluk uh kunausyukla, Ac e uh esukak kutena ma su lula.
21Submit thyself then to him, and be at peace: and thereby thou shalt have the best fruits.
21“Inge, Job, akmisye kom nu sin God, Ac nimet oral oana sie mwet lokoalok; Kom fin suk misla, na El ac akinsewowoye kom.
22Receive the law of his mouth, and lay up his words in thy heart.
22Eis mwe luti ma El sot uh; Ac filiya kas lal insiom.
23If thou wilt return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, and shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacle.
23Aok, kom enenu in siskomi, ac foloko nu yurin God, Oru in safla ma koluk nukewa Ma orek in lohm sum an.
24He shall give for earth flint, and for flint torrents of gold.
24Sisla gold lom an; Sisla nufon gold wowo lom an nu ke kapin infacl paola ingan.
25And the Almighty shall be against thy enemies, and silver shall be heaped together for thee.
25Lela tuh in God Kulana pa gold lom uh, Ac Elan oana silver lom su yolyak oan yurum an.
26Then shalt thou abound in delights in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face to God.
26Na kom fah lulalfongi God pacl nukewa, Ac kom fah etu lah mwe insewowo lom nukewa tuku sel me.
27Thou shalt pray to him, and he will hear thee, and thou shalt pay vows.
27Ke kom pre El ac topuk kom, Ac kom fah liyaung wulela nukewa ma kom orala nu sel an.
28Thou shalt decree a thing, and it I shall come to thee, and light shall shine in thy ways.
28Na ac fah wo ouiyom ke ma nukewa kom oru, Ac kalem ac fah tolak inkanek lom.
29For he that hath been humbled, shall be in glory: and he that shall bow down his eyes, he shall be saved.
29God El sisya mwet inse fulat, Ac molela mwet pusisel.
30The innocent shall be saved, and he shall be saved by the cleanness of his hands.
30God El ac fah molikomla fin wangin ma sufal lom, Ac fin pwaye orekma lom.”
