1And he cried in my ears with a loud voice, saying: The visitations of the city are at hand, and every one hath a destroying weapon in his hand.
1他向我耳中大聲喊叫說：「要使那監管這城的人手中各拿滅命的兵器前來。」
2And behold six men came from the way of the upper gate, which looketh to the north: and each one had his weapon of destruction in his hand: and there was one man in the midst of them clothed with linen, with a writer’s inkhorn at his reins: and they went in, and stood by the brazen altar.
2忽然有六個人從朝北的上門而來，各人手拿殺人的兵器；內中有一人身穿細麻衣，腰間帶着墨盒子。他們進來，站在銅祭壇旁。
3And the glory of the Lord of Israel went up from the cherub, upon which he was, to the threshold of the house: and he called to the man that was clothed with linen, and had a writer’s inkhorn at his loins.
3以色列 上帝的榮耀本在基路伯上，現今從那裏升到殿的門檻。上帝將那身穿細麻衣、腰間帶着墨盒子的人召來。
4And the Lord said to him: Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem: and mark Thau upon the foreheads of the men that sigh, and mourn for all the abominations that are committed in the midst thereof.
4耶和華對他說：「你去走遍 耶路撒冷 全城，那些因城中所行可憎之事歎息哀哭的人，畫記號在額上。」
5And to the others he said in my hearing: Go ye after him through the city, and strike: let not your eyes spare, nor be ye moved with pity.
5我耳中聽見他對其餘的人說：「要跟隨他走遍全城，以行擊殺。你們的眼不要顧惜，也不要可憐他們。
6Utterly destroy old and young, maidens, children and women: but upon whomsoever you shall see Thau, kill him not, and begin ye at my sanctuary. So they began at the ancient men who mere before the house.
6要將年老的、年少的，並處女、嬰孩，和婦女，從聖所起全都殺盡，只是凡有記號的人不要挨近他。」於是他們從殿前的長老殺起。
7And he said to them: Defile the house, and ill the courts with the slain: go ye forth. And they went forth, and slew them that were in the city.
7他對他們說：「要污穢這殿，使院中充滿被殺的人。你們出去吧！」他們就出去，在城中擊殺。
8And the slaughter being ended I was left: and I fell upon my face, and crying, I said: Alas, alas, alas, O Lord God, wilt thou then destroy all the remnant of Israel, by pouring out thy fury upon Jerusalem?
8他們擊殺的時候，我被留下，我就俯伏在地，說：「哎！主耶和華啊，你將忿怒傾在 耶路撒冷 ，豈要將 以色列 所剩下的人都滅絕嗎？」
9And he said to me: The iniquity of the house of Israel, and of Juda, is exceeding great, and the land is filled with blood, and the city is filled with perverseness: for they have said: The Lord hath forsaken the earth, and the Lord seeth not.
9他對我說：「 以色列 家和 猶大 家的罪孽極其重大。遍地有流血的事，滿城有冤屈，因為他們說：『耶和華已經離棄這地，他看不見我們。』
10Therefore neither shall my eye spare, nor will I have pity: I will requite their way upon their head.
10故此，我眼必不顧惜，也不可憐他們，要照他們所行的報應在他們頭上。」
11And behold the man that was clothed with linen, that had the inkhorn at his back, returned the word, saying: I have done as thou hast commanded me.
11那穿細麻衣、腰間帶着墨盒子的人將這事回覆說：「我已經照你所吩咐的行了。」
