1Therefore, if you be risen with Christ, seek the things that are above; where Christ is sitting at the right hand of God:
1Portanto, se vocês foram ressuscitados juntamente com Cristo, busquem as coisas lá do alto, onde Cristo está, assentado à direita de Deus.
2Mind the things that are above, not the things that are upon the earth.
2Pensem nas coisas lá do alto, não nas coisas que são da terra.
3For you are dead; and your life is hid with Christ in God.
3Pois vocês morreram, e a vida de vocês está escondida com Cristo em Deus.
4When Christ shall appear, who is your life, then you also shall appear with him in glory.
4Quando Cristo, que é a nossa vida, for manifestado, então vocês também serão manifestados com ele em glória.
5Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, lust, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is the service of idols.
5Façam morrer, portanto, os seus membros que estão na terra: imoralidade sexual, impureza, paixão depravada, maus desejos e a avareza, que é idolatria.
6For which things the wrath of God cometh upon the children of unbelief,
6Por causa dessas coisas, a ira de Deus vem sobre os filhos da desobediência.
7In which you also walked some time, when you lived in them.
7Vocês também andaram nessas coisas no passado, quando viviam nelas;
8But now put you also all away: anger, indignation, malice, blasphemy, filthy speech out of your mouth.
8mas agora vocês devem abandonar todas elas: ira, fúria, malícia, calúnia e palavras vergonhosas.
9Lie not one to another: stripping yourselves of the old man with his deeds,
9Não mintam uns aos outros, visto que vocês se despiram do velho homem com as suas práticas,
10And putting on the new, him who is renewed unto knowledge, according to the image of him that created him.
10e se revestiram do novo homem, que está sendo renovado em conhecimento, segundo a imagem do seu Criador,
11Where there is neither Gentile nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian nor Scythian, bond nor free. But Christ is all, and in all.
11onde não pode haver grego nem judeu, circuncisão nem incircuncisão, bárbaro, cita, escravo ou livre; mas Cristo é tudo, e em todos.
12Put ye on therefore, as the elect of God, holy, and beloved, the bowels of mercy, benignity, humility, modesty, patience:
12Revistam-se, portanto, como eleitos de Deus, santos e amados, de um coração de compaixão, bondade, humildade, mansidão e perseverança;
13Bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if any have a complaint against another: even as the Lord hath forgiven you, so do you also.
13suportando uns aos outros e perdoando uns aos outros, se alguém tiver queixa contra outro; assim como Cristo perdoou vocês, façam vocês também.
14But above all these things have charity, which is the bond of perfection:
14Acima de todas essas coisas, andem em amor, que é o vínculo da perfeição.
15And let the peace of Christ rejoice in your hearts, wherein also you are called in one body: and be ye thankful.
15E que a paz de Deus domine em seus corações, para a qual vocês também foram chamados em um só corpo; e sejam gratos.
16Let the word of Christ dwell in you abundantly, in all wisdom: teaching and admonishing one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual canticles, singing in grace in your hearts to God.
16Que a palavra de Cristo habite ricamente em vocês; em toda a sabedoria, ensinando e admoestando uns aos outros com salmos, hinos e cânticos espirituais, cantando com graça em seus corações ao Senhor.
17All whatsoever you do in word or in work, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
17Tudo o que fizerem, seja em palavra ou em ação, façam tudo em nome do Senhor Jesus, dando graças a Deus, o Pai, por meio dele.
18Wives, be subject to your husbands, as it behoveth in the Lord.
18Esposas, sujeitem-se aos seus maridos, como convém no Senhor.
19Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter towards them.
19Maridos, amem as suas esposas e não as tratem com amargura.
20Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing to the Lord.
20Filhos, obedeçam aos seus pais em todas as coisas, pois isso agrada ao Senhor.
21Fathers, provoke not your children to indignation, lest they be discouraged.
21Pais, não provoquem os seus filhos, para que não fiquem desencorajados.
22Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh, not serving to the eye, as pleasing men, but in simplicity of heart, fearing God.
22Servos, obedeçam em todas as coisas àqueles que são seus senhores segundo a carne, não apenas quando eles estiverem olhando, como quem procura agradar a homens, mas com sinceridade de coração, temendo a Deus.
23Whatsoever you do, do it from the heart, as to the Lord, and not to men:
23E tudo o que fizerem, trabalhem de todo o coração, como para o Senhor e não para os homens,
24Knowing that you shall receive of the Lord the reward of inheritance. Serve ye the Lord Christ.
24sabendo que do Senhor vocês receberão a recompensa da herança; pois vocês servem ao Senhor Cristo.
25For he that doth wrong, shall receive for that which he hath done wrongfully: and there is no respect of persons with God.
25Mas aquele que faz o mal receberá pelo mal que praticou, e não há parcialidade.
