1Moreover David and the chief. officers of the army separated for the ministry the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Idithun: to prophesy with harps, and with psalteries, and with cymbals according to their number serving in their appointed office.
1ASIMISMO David y los príncipes del ejército apartaron para el ministerio á los hijos de Asaph, y de Hemán, y de Jeduthún, los cuales profetizasen con arpas, salterios, y címbalos: y el número de ellos fué, de hombres idóneos para la obra de su ministerio respectivo:
2Of the sons of Asaph: Zacchur, and Joseph, and Nathania, and Asarela, sons of Asaph: under the hand of Asaph prophesying near the king.
2De los hijos de Asaph: Zachûr, José, Methanías, y Asareela, hijos de Asaph, bajo la dirección de Asaph, el cual profetizaba á la orden del rey.
3And of Idithun: the sons of Idithun, Godolias, Serf, Jeseias, and Hasabias, and Mathathias, six, under the hand of their father Idithun, who prophesied with a harp to give thanks and to praise the Lord.
3De Jeduthún: los hijos de Jeduthún, Gedalías, Sesi, Jesaías, Hasabías, y Mathithías, y Simi : seis, bajo la mano de su padre Jeduthún, el cual profetizaba con arpa, para celebrar y alabar á Jehová.
4Of Heman also: the sons of Heman, Bocciau, Mathaniau, Oziel, Subuel, and Jerimoth, Hananias, Hanani, Eliatha, Geddelthi, and Romemthiezer, and Jesbacassa, Mellothi, Othir, Mahazioth:
4De Hemán: los hijos de Hemán, Buccia, Mathanía, Uzziel, Sebuel, Jerimoth, Hananías, Hanani, Eliatha, Gidalthi, Romamti-ezer, Josbecasa, Mallothi, Othir, y Mahazioth.
5All these were the sons of Heman the seer of the king in the words of God, to lift up the horn: and God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.
5Todos estos fueron hijos de Hemán, vidente del rey en palabras de Dios, para ensalzar el poder suyo : y dió Dios á Hemán catorce hijos y tres hijas.
6All these under their father’s hand were distributed to sing in the temple of the Lord, with cymbals, and psalteries and harps, for the service of the house of the Lord near the king: to wit, Asaph, and Idithun, and Heman.
6Y todos estos estaban bajo la dirección de su padre en la música, en la casa de Jehová, con címbalos, salterios y arpas, para el ministerio del templo de Dios, por disposición del rey acerca de Asaph, de Jeduthún, y de Hemán.
7And the number of them with their brethren, that taught the song of the Lord, all the teachers, were two hundred and eighty-eight,
7Y el número de ellos con sus hermanos instruídos en música de Jehová, todos los aptos, fué doscientos ochenta y ocho.
8And they cast lots by their courses, the elder equally with the younger, the learned and the unlearned together.
8Y echaron suertes para los turnos del servicio , entrando el pequeño con el grande, lo mismo el maestro que el discípulo.
9And the first lot came forth to Joseph, who was of Asaph. The second to Godolias, to him and his sons, and his brethren twelve.
9Y la primera suerte salió por Asaph, á José: la segunda á Gedalías, quien con sus hermanos é hijos fueron doce;
10The third to Zachur, to his sons and his brethren twelve.
10La tercera á Zachûr, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;
11The fourth to Isari, to his sons and his brethren twelve.
11La cuarta á Isri, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;
12The fifth to Nathania, to his sons and his brethren twelve.
12La quinta á Nethanías, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;
13The sixth to Bocciau, to his sons and his brethren twelve.
13La sexta á Buccia, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;
14The seventh to Isreela, to his sons and his brethren twelve.
14La séptima á Jesarela, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;
15The eighth to Jesaia, to his sons and his brethren twelve.
15La octava á Jesahías, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;
16The ninth to Mathanaias, to his sons and his brethren twelve.
16La nona á Mathanías, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;
17The tenth to Semeias, to his sons and his brethren twelve.
17La décima á Simi, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;
18The eleventh to Azareel, to his sons and his brethren twelve.
18La undécima á Azareel, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;
19The twelfth to Hasabia, to his sons and his brethren twelve.
19La duodécima á Hasabías, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;
20The thirteenth to Subael, to his sons and his brethren twelve.
20La décimatercia á Subael, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;
21The fourteenth to Mathathias, to his sons and his brethren twelve.
21La décimacuarta á Mathithías, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;
22The fifteenth to Jerimoth, to his sons and his brethren twelve.
22La décimaquinta á Jerimoth, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;
23The sixteenth to Hananias, to his sons and his brethren twelve.
23La décimasexta á Hananías, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;
24The seventeenth to Jesbacassa, to his sons and his brethren twelve.
