1我們既因信稱義，就藉着我們的主耶穌基督得與上帝相和。
1Being justified therefore by faith, let us have peace with God, through our Lord Jesus Christ:
2我們又藉着他，因信得進入現在所站的這恩典中，並且歡歡喜喜盼望上帝的榮耀。
2By whom also we have access through faith into this grace, wherein we stand, and glory in the hope of the glory of the sons of God.
3不但如此，就是在患難中也是歡歡喜喜的；因為知道患難生忍耐，
3And not only so; but we glory also in tribulations, knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
4忍耐生老練，老練生盼望；
4And patience trial; and trial hope;
5盼望不至於羞恥，因為所賜給我們的聖靈將上帝的愛澆灌在我們心裏。
5And hope confoundeth not: because the charity of God is poured forth in our hearts, by the Holy Ghost, who is given to us.
6因我們還軟弱的時候，基督就按所定的日期為罪人死。
6For why did Christ, when as yet we were weak, according to the time, die for the ungodly?
7為義人死，是少有的；為仁人死， 或者有敢做的。
7For scarce for a just man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man some one would dare to die.
8惟有基督在我們還作罪人的時候為我們死，上帝的愛就在此向我們顯明了。
8But God commendeth his charity towards us; because when as yet we were sinners, according to the time,
9現在我們既靠着他的血稱義，就更要藉着他免去 上帝的 忿怒。
9Christ died for us; much more therefore, being now justified by his blood, shall we be saved from wrath through him.
10因為我們作仇敵的時候，且藉着上帝兒子的死，得與上帝和好；既已和好，就更要因他的生得救了。
10For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son; much more, being reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.
11不但如此，我們既藉着我主耶穌基督得與上帝和好，也就藉着他以上帝為樂。
11And not only so; but also we glory in God, through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received reconciliation.
12這就如罪是從一人入了世界，死又是從罪來的，於是死就臨到眾人，因為眾人都犯了罪。
12Wherefore as by one man sin entered into this world, and by sin death; and so death passed upon all men, in whom all have sinned.
13沒有律法之先，罪已經在世上；但沒有律法，罪也不算罪。
13For until the law sin was in the world; but sin was not imputed, when the law was not.
14然而從 亞當 到 摩西 ，死就作了王，連那些不與 亞當 犯一樣罪過的，也在他的權下。 亞當 乃是那以後要來之人的預像。
14But death reigned from Adam unto Moses, even over them also who have not sinned after the similitude of the transgression of Adam, who is a figure of him who was to come.
15只是過犯不如恩賜，若因一人的過犯，眾人都死了，何況上帝的恩典，與那因耶穌基督一人恩典中的賞賜，豈不更加倍地臨到眾人嗎？
15But not as the offence, so also the gift. For if by the offence of one, many died; much more the grace of God, and the gift, by the grace of one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
16因一人犯罪就定罪，也不如恩賜，原來審判是由一人而定罪，恩賜乃是由許多過犯而稱義。
16And not as it was by one sin, so also is the gift. For judgment indeed was by one unto condemnation; but grace is of many offences, unto justification.
17若因一人的過犯，死就因這一人作了王，何況那些受洪恩又蒙所賜之義的，豈不更要因耶穌基督一人在生命中作王嗎？
17For if by one man’s offence death reigned through one; much more they who receive abundance of grace, and of the gift, and of justice, shall reign in life through one, Jesus Christ.
18如此說來，因一次的過犯，眾人都被定罪；照樣，因一次的義行，眾人也就被稱義得生命了。
18Therefore, as by the offence of one, unto all men to condemnation; so also by the justice of one, unto all men to justification of life.
19因一人的悖逆，眾人成為罪人；照樣，因一人的順從，眾人也成為義了。
19For as by the disobedience of one man, many were made sinners; so also by the obedience of one, many shall be made just.
20律法本是外添的，叫過犯顯多；只是罪在哪裏顯多，恩典就更顯多了。
20Now the law entered in, that sin might abound. And where sin abounded, grace did more abound.
21就如罪作王叫人死；照樣，恩典也藉着義作王，叫人因我們的主耶穌基督得永生。
21That as sin hath reigned to death; so also grace might reign by justice unto life everlasting, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
