1以色列 众支派来到 希伯 见 大卫 ，说：「我们原是你的骨肉。
1Then came all the tribes of Israel to David unto Hebron, and spoke, saying: 'Behold, we are thy bone and thy flesh.
2从前 扫罗 作我们王的时候，率领 以色列 人出入的是你；耶和华也曾应许你说：『你必牧养我的民 以色列 ，作 以色列 的君。』」
2In times past, when Saul was king over us, it was thou that didst lead out and bring in Israel; and the LORD said to thee: Thou shalt feed My people Israel, and thou shalt be prince over Israel.'
3于是 以色列 的长老都来到 希伯 见 大卫 王， 大卫 在 希伯 耶和华面前与他们立约，他们就膏 大卫 作 以色列 的王。
3So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and king David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the LORD; and they anointed David king over Israel.
4大卫 登基的时候年三十岁，在位四十年；
4David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years.
5在 希伯 作 犹大 王七年零六个月，在 耶路撒冷 作 以色列 和 犹大 王三十三年。
5In Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months; and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty and three years over all Israel and Judah.
6大卫 和跟随他的人到了 耶路撒冷 ，要攻打住那地方的 耶布斯 人。 耶布斯 人对 大卫 说：「你若不赶出瞎子、瘸子，必不能进这地方」；心里想 大卫 决不能进去。
6And the king and his men went to Jerusalem against the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land, who spoke unto David, saying: 'Except thou take away the blind and the lame, thou shalt not come in hither'; thinking: 'David cannot come in hither.'
7然而 大卫 攻取 锡安 的保障，就是 大卫 的城。
7Nevertheless David took the stronghold of Zion; the same is the city of David.
8当日， 大卫 说：「谁攻打 耶布斯 人，当上水沟 攻打 我心里所恨恶的瘸子、瞎子。」从此有俗语说：「在那里有瞎子、瘸子，他不能进屋去。」
8And David said on that day: 'Whosoever smiteth the Jebusites, and getteth up to the gutter, and taketh away the lame and the blind, that are hated of David's soul — .' Wherefore they say: 'There are the blind and the lame; he cannot come into the house.'
9大卫 住在保障里，给保障起名叫 大卫城 。 大卫 又从 米罗 以里，周围筑墙。
9And David dwelt in the stronghold, and called it the city of David. And David built round about from Millo and inward.
10大卫 日见强盛，因为耶和华—万军之 神与他同在。
10And David waxed greater and greater; for the LORD, the God of hosts, was with him.
11泰尔 王 希兰 将香柏木运到 大卫 那里，又差遣使者和木匠、石匠给 大卫 建造宫殿。
11And Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and cedar-trees, and carpenters, and masons; and they built David a house.
12大卫 就知道耶和华坚立他作 以色列 王，又为自己的民 以色列 使他的国兴旺。
12And David perceived that the LORD had established him king over Israel, and that He had exalted his kingdom for His people Israel's sake.
13大卫 离开 希伯 之后，在 耶路撒冷 又立后妃，又生儿女。
13And David took him more concubines and wives out of Jerusalem, after he was come from Hebron; and there were yet sons and daughters born to David.
14在 耶路撒冷 所生的儿子是 沙母亚 、 朔罢 、 拿单 、 所罗门 、
14And these are the names of those that were born unto him in Jerusalem: Shammua, and Shobab, and Nathan, and Solomon;
15益辖 、 以利书亚 、 尼斐 、 雅非亚 、
15and Ibhar, and Elishua, and Nepheg, and Japhia;
16以利沙玛 、 以利雅大 、 以利法列 。
16and Elishama, and Eliada, and Eliphelet.
17非利士 人听见人膏 大卫 作 以色列 王， 非利士 众人就上来寻索 大卫 ； 大卫 听见，就下到保障。
17And when the Philistines heard that David was anointed king over Israel, all the Philistines went up to seek David; and David heard of it, and went down to the hold.
18非利士 人来了，布散在 利乏音谷 。
18Now the Philistines had come and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.
19大卫 求问耶和华说：「我可以上去攻打 非利士 人吗？你将他们交在我手里吗？」耶和华说：「你可以上去，我必将 非利士 人交在你手里。」
19And David inquired of the LORD, saying: 'Shall I go up against the Philistines? wilt Thou deliver them into my hand?' And the LORD said unto David: 'Go up; for I will certainly deliver the Philistines into thy hand.'
20大卫 来到 巴力·毗拉心 ，在那里击杀 非利士 人，说：「耶和华在我面前冲破敌人，如同水冲去一般。」因此称那地方为 巴力·毗拉心 。
20And David came to Baal-perazim, and David smote them there; and he said: 'The LORD hath broken mine enemies before me, like the breach of waters.' Therefore the name of that place was called Baal-perazim.
21非利士 人将偶像撇在那里， 大卫 和跟随他的人拿去了。
21And they left their images there, and David and his men took them away.
22非利士 人又上来，布散在 利乏音谷 。
22And the Philistines came up yet again, and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.
23大卫 求问耶和华；耶和华说：「不要一直地上去，要转到他们后头，从桑林对面攻打他们。
23And when David inquired of the LORD, He said: 'Thou shalt not go up; make a circuit behind them, and come upon them over against the mulberry-trees.
24你听见桑树梢上有脚步的声音，就要急速前去，因为那时耶和华已经在你前头去攻打 非利士 人的军队。」
24And it shall be, when thou hearest the sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry-trees, that then thou shalt bestir thyself; for then is the LORD gone out before thee to smite the host of the Philistines.'
25大卫 就遵着耶和华所吩咐的去行，攻打 非利士 人，从 迦巴 直到 基色 。
25And David did so, as the LORD commanded him, and smote the Philistines from Geba until thou come to Gezer.
