1大卫 问说：「 扫罗 家还有剩下的人没有？我要因 约拿单 的缘故向他施恩。」
1And David said: 'Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan's sake?'
2扫罗 家有一个仆人，名叫 洗巴 ，有人叫他来见 大卫 ，王问他说：「你是 洗巴 吗？」回答说：「仆人是。」
2Now there was of the house of Saul a servant whose name was Ziba, and they called him unto David; and the king said unto him: 'Art thou Ziba?' And he said: 'Thy servant is he.'
3王说：「 扫罗 家还有人没有？我要照 神的慈爱恩待他。」 洗巴 对王说：「还有 约拿单 的一个儿子，是瘸腿的。」
3And the king said: 'Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may show the kindness of God unto him?' And Ziba said unto the king: 'Jonathan hath yet a son, who is lame on his feet.'
4王说：「他在哪里？」 洗巴 对王说：「他在 罗·底巴 ， 亚米利 的儿子 玛吉 家里。」
4And the king said unto him: 'Where is he?' And Ziba said unto the king: 'Behold, he is in the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, in Lo-debar.'
5于是 大卫 王打发人去，从 罗·底巴 、 亚米利 的儿子 玛吉 家里召了他来。
5Then king David sent, and fetched him out of the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, from Lo-debar.
6扫罗 的孙子、 约拿单 的儿子 米非波设 来见 大卫 ，伏地叩拜。 大卫 说：「 米非波设 ！」 米非波设 说：「仆人在此。」
6And Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, came unto David, and fell on his face, and prostrated himself. And David said: 'Mephibosheth!' And he answered: 'Behold thy servant!'
7大卫 说：「你不要惧怕，我必因你父亲 约拿单 的缘故施恩与你，将你祖父 扫罗 的一切田地都归还你；你也可以常与我同席吃饭。」
7And David said unto him: 'Fear not; for I will surely show thee kindness for Jonathan thy father's sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.'
8米非波设 又叩拜，说：「仆人算什么，不过如死狗一般，竟蒙王这样眷顾！」
8And he bowed down, and said: 'What is thy servant, that thou shouldest look upon such a dead dog as I am?'
9王召了 扫罗 的仆人 洗巴 来，对他说：「我已将属 扫罗 和他的一切家产都赐给你主人的儿子了。
9Then the king called to Ziba, Saul's servant, and said unto him: 'All that pertained to Saul and to all his house have I given unto thy master's son.
10你和你的众子、仆人要为你主人的儿子 米非波设 耕种田地，把所产的拿来供他食用；他却要常与我同席吃饭。」 洗巴 有十五个儿子，二十个仆人。
10And thou shalt till the land for him, thou, and thy sons, and thy servants; and thou shalt bring in the fruits, that thy master's son may have bread to eat; but Mephibosheth thy master's son shall eat bread continually at my table.' Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.
11洗巴 对王说：「凡我主我王吩咐仆人的，仆人都必遵行。」王又说：「 米非波设 必与我同席吃饭，如王的儿子一样。」
11Then said Ziba unto the king: 'According to all that my lord the king commandeth his servant, so shall thy servant do; but Mephibosheth eateth at my table as one of the king's sons.'
12米非波设 有一个小儿子，名叫 米迦 。凡住在 洗巴 家里的人都作了 米非波设 的仆人。
12Now Mephibosheth had a young son, whose name was Mica. And all that dwelt in the house of Ziba were servants unto Mephibosheth.
13于是 米非波设 住在 耶路撒冷 ，常与王同席吃饭。他两腿都是瘸的。
13But Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem; for he did eat continually at the king's table; and he was lame on both his feet.
