1Přistoupili pak přední z otců Levítského pokolení k Eleazarovi knězi, a k Jozue, synu Nun, a k předním z otců pokolení synů Izraelských,
1Then the princes of the families of Levi came to Eleazar the priest, and to Josue the son of Nun, and to the princes of the kindreds of all the tribes of the children of Israel:
2A mluvili k nim v Sílo, v zemi Kananejské, řkouce: Hospodin přikázal skrze Mojžíše, abyste nám dali města k přebývání, i podměstí jejich pro dobytky naše.
2And they spoke to them in Silo in the land of Chanaan, and said: The Lord commanded by the hand of Moses, that cities should be given us to dwell in, and their suburbs to feed our cattle.
3Dali tedy synové Izraelští Levítům z dědictví svého, vedlé rozkázaní Hospodinova, města tato i podměstí jejich.
3And the children of Israel gave out of their possessions according to the commandment of the Lord, cities and their suburbs.
4Padl pak los čeledem Kahat, i dáno losem synům Arona kněze, Levítům, z pokolení Juda, a z pokolení Simeon, i z pokolení Beniaminova měst třinácte.
4And the lot came out for the family of Caath of the children of Aaron the priest out of the tribes of Juda, and of Simeon, and of Benjamin, thirteen cities.
5A jiným synům Kahat, z čeledí pokolení Efraimova, a z pokolení Danova, a z polovice pokolení Manassesova losem dáno měst deset.
5And to the rest of the children of Caath, that is, to the Levites, who remained, out of the tribes of Ephraim, and of Dan, and the half tribe of Manasses, ten cities.
6Synům pak Gerson, z čeledí pokolení Izacharova, a z pokolení Asserova, též z pokolení Neftalímova, a z polovice pokolení Manassesova v Bázan losem dáno měst třinácte.
6And the lot came out to the children of Gerson, that they should take of the tribes of Issachar and of Aser and of Nephtali, and of the half tribe of Manasses in Basan, thirteen cities.
7Synům Merari po čeledech jejich, z pokolení Rubenova a z pokolení Gádova, též z pokolení Zabulonova měst dvanácte.
7And to the sons of Merari by their kindreds, of the tribes of Ruben and or Cad and of Zabulon, twelve cities.
8Dali tedy synové Izraelští Levítům ta města i předměstí jejich, (jakož přikázal Hospodin skrze Mojžíše,) losem.
8And the children of Israel gave to the Levites the cities and their suburbs, as the Lord commanded by the hand of Moses, giving to every one by lot.
9A tak z pokolení synů Judových, a z pokolení synů Simeonových dána jsou města, kterýchž tuto jména jsou položena.
9Of the tribes of the children of Juda and of Simeon Josue gave cities: whose names are these,
10A dostal se první díl synům Aronovým, z čeledí Kahat, z synů Léví; nebo jim padl los první.
10To the sons of Aaron, of the families of Caath of the race of Levi (for the first lot came out for them)
11Dáno jest tedy jim město Arbe, otce Enakova, (jenž jest Hebron,) na hoře Juda, a předměstí jeho vůkol něho.
11The city of Arbe the father of Enac, which is called Hebron, in the mountain of Juda, and the suburbs thereof round about.
12Ale pole města toho i vsi jeho dali Kálefovi synu Jefone k vládařství jeho.
12But the fields and the villages thereof he had given to Caleb the son of Jephone for his possession.
13Synům tedy Arona kněze dali město útočišťné vražedlníku, Hebron i předměstí jeho, a Lebno i předměstí jeho;
13He gave therefore to the children of Aaron the priest, Hebron a city of refuge, and the suburbs thereof: and Lobna with the suburbs thereof,
14A Jeter s předměstím jeho, též Estemo a předměstí jeho;
14And Jether and Estemo,
15Holon i předměstí jeho, a Dabir s podměstím jeho;
15And Holon, and Dabir,
16Také Ain s předměstím jeho, a Juta s podměstím jeho, i Betsemes a předměstí jeho, měst devět z toho dvojího pokolení.
16And Ain, and Jeta, and Bethsames, with their suburbs: nine cities out of the two tribes, as hath been said.
17Z pokolení pak Beniaminova dali Gabaon a předměstí jeho, a Gaba s předměstím jeho;
17And out of the tribe of the children of Benjamin, Gabaon, and Gabae,
18Též Anatot a podměstí jeho, i Almon s předměstím jeho, města čtyři.
18And Anathoth and Almon, with their suburbs: four cities.
19Všech měst synů Aronových kněží třinácte měst s předměstími jejich.
19All the cities together of the children of Aaron the priest, were thirteen, with their suburbs.
20Èeledem pak synů Kahat, Levítům, kteříž pozůstali z synů Kahat, (byla pak města losu jejich z pokolení Efraim,)
20And to the rest of the families of the children of Caath of the race of Levi was given this possession.
21Dali jim město útočišťné vražedlníku, Sichem i předměstí jeho, na hoře Efraim, a Gázer s předměstím jeho.
21Of the tribe of Ephraim, Sichem one of the cities of refuge, with the suburbs thereof in mount Ephraim, and Cater,
22Též Kibsaim a předměstí jeho, a Betoron s předměstím jeho, města čtyři.
22And Cibsaim, and Beth-horon, with their suburbs, four cities.
23Z pokolení pak Dan: Elteke a předměstí jeho, a Gebbeton s předměstím jeho;
23And of the tribe of Dan, Eltheco and Gabathon,
24Též Aialon a předměstí jeho, a Getremmon s podměstím jeho, města čtyři.
24And Aialon and Gethremmon, with their suburbs, four cities.
25Z polovice pak pokolení Manassesova: Tanach a podměstí jeho, a Getremmon s předměstím jeho, města dvě.
25And of the half tribe of Manasses, Thanac and Gethremmon, with their suburbs, two cities.
26Všech měst deset s předměstími jejich čeledem synům Kahat ostatním.
26All the cities were ten, with their suburbs, which were given to the children of Caath, of the inferior degree.
27Synům také Gersonovým, z čeledí Levítských, z polovice pokolení Manassesova dali město útočišťné vražedlníku, Golan v Bázan a předměstí jeho, a Bozran s předměstím jeho, města dvě.
27To the children of Gerson also of the race of Levi out of the half tribe of Manasses, Gaulon in Basan, one of the cities of refuge, and Bosra, with their suburbs, two cities.
28Z pokolení Izacharova: Kesion a podměstí jeho, a Daberet s předměstím jeho;
28And of the tribe of Issachar, Cesion, and Dabereth,
29Jarmut a předměstí jeho, a Engannim s předměstím jeho, města čtyři.
29And Jaramoth, and Engannim, with their suburbs, four cities.
30Z pokolení pak Asserova: Mesal a předměstí jeho, též Abdon a podměstí jeho;
30And of the tribe of Aser, Masal and Abdon,
31Helkat s předměstím jeho, a Rohob s podměstím jeho, města čtyři.
31And Helcath, and Rohob, with their suburbs, four cities.
32Z pokolení také Neftalímova: Město útočišťné vražedlníku, Kedes v Galilei a předměstí jeho, a Hamotdor s předměstím jeho, a Kartam s předměstím jeho, města tři.
32Of the tribe also of Nephtali, Cedes in Galilee, one of the cities of refuge: and Hammoth Dor, and Carthan, with their suburbs, three cities.
33Všech měst Gersonitských po čeledech jejich, třinácte měst s předměstími jejich.
33All the cities of the families of Gerson, were thirteen, with their suburbs.
34Èeledem pak synů Merari, Levítům ostatním, dali z pokolení Zabulonova Jekonam a předměstí jeho, Karta a předměstí jeho;
34And to the children of Merari, Levites of the inferior degree, by their families were given of the tribe of Zabulon, Jecnam and Cartha,
35Damna a předměstí jeho, Naalol a předměstí jeho, města čtyři.
35And Damna and Naalol, four cities with their suburbs;
36Z pokolení pak Rubenova: Bozor a předměstí jeho, a Jasa a předměstí jeho;
36Of the tribe of Ruben beyond the Jordan over against Jericho, Bosor in the wilderness, one of the cities of refuge, Miser and Jaser and Jethson and Mephaath, four cities with their suburbs.
37Kedemot a předměstí jeho, a Mefat s podměstím jeho, města čtyři.
37Of the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Galaad, one of the cities of refuge, and Manaim and Hesebon and Jaser, four cities with their suburbs.
38A z pokolení Gádova: Město útočišťné vražedlníku, Rámot v Galád a předměstí jeho, a Mahanaim s předměstím jeho;
38All the cities of the children of Merari by their families and kindreds, were twelve.
39Ezebon a podměstí jeho, Jazer s podměstím jeho, města čtyři.
39So all the cities of the Levites within the possession of the children of Israel were forty-eight,
40Všech měst synů Merari po čeledech jejich, kteříž ostatní byli z čeledí Levítských, bylo podlé losu jejich měst dvanácte.
40With their suburbs, each distributed by the families.
41A tak všech měst Levítských u prostřed vládařství synů Izraelských měst čtyřidceti osm s předměstími svými.
41And the Lord God gave to Israel all the land that he had sworn to give to their fathers: and they possessed it and dwelt in it.
42Mělo pak to město jedno každé obzvláštně svá předměstí vůkol sebe, a taková byla všecka ta města.
42And he gave them peace from all nations round about: and none of their enemies durst stand against them, but were brought under their dominion.
43Dal tedy Hospodin Izraelovi všecku tu zemi, kterouž s přísahou zaslíbil dáti otcům jejich; i opanovali ji dědičně, a bydlili v ní.
43Not so much as one word, which he had promised to perform unto them, was made void, but all came to pass.
44Dal také Hospodin jim odpočinutí se všech stran podlé všeho, jakž byl s přísahou zaslíbil otcům jejich, aniž kdo byl, ješto by ostál proti nim ze všech nepřátel jejich; všecky nepřátely jejich dal Hospodin v ruku jejich.

45Nepominulo ani jedno slovo ze všelikého slova dobrého, kteréž mluvil Hospodin k domu Izraelskému, ale všecko se tak stalo.
