1SENHOR, nosso Senhor, como é majestoso o seu nome em toda a terra! O Senhor colocou a sua glória acima dos céus!
1LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens!
2Dos lábios das crianças e dos recém-nascidos o Senhor estabeleceu força, por causa dos seus adversários, para silenciar o inimigo e o vingador.
2From the lips of babes and infants you have established strength, because of your adversaries, that you might silence the enemy and the avenger.
3Quando contemplo os seus céus, obra dos seus dedos, a lua e as estrelas, que o Senhor estabeleceu,
3When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have ordained,
4o que é o homem, para que o Senhor pense nele? E o que é o filho do homem, para que o Senhor cuide dele?
4what is man, that you think of him? What is the son of man, that you care for him?
5Pois o Senhor o fez um pouco menor que os anjos, e o coroou de glória e honra.
5For you have made him a little lower than the angels, and crowned him with glory and honor.
6O Senhor o faz governar sobre as obras das suas mãos. O Senhor colocou todas as coisas debaixo dos seus pés:
6You make him ruler over the works of your hands. You have put all things under his feet:
7Todas as ovelhas e os bois, sim, e os animais do campo,
7All sheep and cattle, yes, and the animals of the field,
8as aves do céu, os peixes do mar, e tudo o que passa pelos caminhos dos mares.
8the birds of the sky, the fish of the sea, and whatever passes through the paths of the seas.
9SENHOR, nosso Senhor, como é majestoso o seu nome em toda a terra!
9LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
