Luke 18

Bible Mutal (Kosraean)
Douay-Rheims Bible, American Edition (1899)
1Na Jesus el fahk sie pupulyuk nu sin mwet tumal lutlut in akkalemye nu selos lah elos enenu in pre pacl nukewa ac tia fuhleak.
1And he spoke also a parable to them, that we ought always to pray, and not to faint,
2“Oasr sie mwet nununku in sie siti srisrik su tiana sangeng sin God, ku akfulatye kutena mwet.
2Saying: There was a judge in a certain city, who feared not God, nor regarded man.
3And there was a certain widow in that city, and she came to him, saying: Avenge me of my adversary.
4Pacl na paht mwet nununku sac tiana oru kutu ma, na tok el sifacna nunku in el mu, ‘Nga finne tia sangeng sin God, ku sunakin kutena mwet,
4And he would not for a long time. But afterwards he said within himself: Although I fear not God, nor regard man,
5tusruk ke lupan lokoalok mutan se inge oru nu sik, nga ac kasrel elan eis suwohs ma el suk uh. Nga fin tia, na el ac sifil pacna fahsriyu nwe ke na nga totola na sel!’”
5Yet because this widow is troublesome to me, I will avenge her, lest continually coming she weary me.
6Ac Jesus el sifilpa fahk, “Porongo ma mwet nununku koluk sac fahk inge.
6And the Lord said: Hear what the unjust judge saith.
7Na mea, ya God El ac tia oru pac nununku lal in wo nu sin mwet lal su pang nu sel ke len ac fong in suk kasru sel? Ya El ac pahtlac in kasrelos?
7And will not God revenge his elect who cry to him day and night: and will he have patience in their regard?
8Nga fahk nu suwos, El ac fah sa na in oru kasru lal nu selos.
8I say to you, that he will quickly revenge them. But yet the Son of man, when he cometh, shall he find, think you, faith on earth?
9And to some who trusted in themselves as just, and despised others, he spoke also this parable:
10“Sie pacl ah mwet luo utyak nu in Tempul in pre. Sie selos mwet Pharisee, ac el ngia mwet eisani tax.
10Two men went up into the temple to pray: the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
11Mwet Pharisee sac tuyak ac mukena pre, ‘O God, nga kulo nu sum lah nga tia oana mwet ngia, su rapku ac oru ma sesuwos ac kosro. Nga kulo pac lah nga tia oana mwet eisani tax se ingo.
11The Pharisee standing, prayed thus with himself: O God, I give thee thanks that I am not as the rest of men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, as also is this publican.
12Nga lalo len luo ke wik se, ac nga sot nu sum sie tafu singoul ke ma nukewa luk!’
12I fast twice in a week: I give tithes of all that I possess.
13A mwet eisani tax sac tu oetok ah, ac el tia pacna keyak nu lucng ke el pre, a el puok iniwal ac fahk, ‘O God, pakoten nu sik, tuh nga sie mwet koluk!’”
13And the publican, standing afar off, would not so much as lift up his eyes towards heaven; but struck his breast, saying: O god, be merciful to me a sinner.
14I say to you, this man went down into his house justified rather that the other: because every one that exalteth himself, shall be humbled: and he that humbleth himself, shall be exalted.
15And they brought unto him also infants, that he might touch them. Which when the disciples saw, they rebuked them.
16A Jesus el pangon tulik uh in tuku nu yorol, ac el fahk, “Lela tulik in tuku nu yuruk, ac nikmet ikololosi, tuh Tokosrai lun God ma lalos su oana elos.
16But Jesus, calling them together, said: Suffer children to come to me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
17Pwayena nga fahk nu suwos, elos na su eis Tokosrai lun God oana sie tulik srisrik ac fah utyak nu we.”
17Amen, I say to you: Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a child, shall not enter into it.
18Sie mwet kol lun mwet Jew el siyuk sin Jesus, “Mwet Luti wo, mea nga enenu in oru tuh nga fah usrui moul ma pahtpat?”
18And a certain ruler asked him, saying: Good master, what shall I do to possess everlasting life?
19Ac Jesus el siyuk sel, “Efu kom ku pangonyu wo? Wangin sie mwet wo, a God mukena.
19And Jesus said to him: Why dost thou call me good? None is good but God alone.
20Kom etu ma sap uh: ‘Nik kom kosro; nik kom akmas; nik kom pisrapasr; nik kom orek loh kikiap lain mwet; sunakin papa tomom ac nina kiom.’”
20Thou knowest the commandments: Thou shalt not kill: Thou shalt not commit adultery: Thou shalt not steal: Thou shalt not bear false witness: Honour thy father and mother.
21Ac mwet sac topuk, “Nga nuna akos ma sap inge nukewa oe ke nga tulik me.”
21Who said: All these things have I kept from my youth.
Kukakunla ma lom nukewa ac sang mani kac an nu sin mwet sukasrup, na ac fah oasr mwe kasrup lom inkusrao; na kom fahsru fahsr tukuk.”
22Which when Jesus had heard, he said to him: Yet one thing is wanting to thee: sell all whatever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.
23Tusruk ke mwet sac lohng ma inge, arulana toasrla insial, mweyen el arulana kasrup.
23He having heard these things, became sorrowful; for he was very rich.
24Jesus el liye lah mwet sac toasrla ac el fahk, “Arulana upa nu sin mwet kasrup in ilyak nu in Tokosrai lun God!
24And Jesus seeing him become sorrowful, said: How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God.
25Ac fisrasr soko camel in fahsr sasla ke mutun soko nilul, liki sie mwet kasrup in utyak nu in Tokosrai lun God.
25For it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
26Na mwet ma lohng kas ma el fahk uh siyuk, “Fin ouingan, su ac ku in moul?”
26And they that heard it, said: Who then can be saved?
27Jesus el topuk, “Ma su kofla orek sin mwet uh, God El ku in oru.”
27He said to them: The things that are impossible with men, are possible with God.
28Na Peter el fahk, “Liye, kut filiya ma lasr nukewa ac fahsr tukum.”
28Then Peter said: Behold, we have left all things, and have followed thee.
29Ac Jesus el fahk nu selos, “Pwayena nga fahk nu suwos, kutena mwet su filiya lohm sel, ku mutan kial, ku mwet wial, ku papa tumal ac nina kial, ku tulik natul ke sripen Tokosrai lun God,
29Who said to them: Amen, I say to you, there is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God’s sake,
30Who shall not receive much more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.
31Jesus el srela mwet singoul luo uh nu saya ac fahk nu selos, “Lohng akwoye! Kut ac som nu Jerusalem pa inge, yen se ma nukewa mwet palu elos tuh simusla ke Wen nutin Mwet ac akpwayeyuk we.
31Then Jesus took unto him the twelve, and said to them: Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things shall be accomplished which were written by the prophets concerning the Son of man.
32Ac fah itukyang el nu inpoun mwet pegan, su ac fah aksruksrukel, fahk kas koluk kacl, ac anel.
32For he shall be delivered to the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and scourged, and spit upon:
33Elos ac fah srunglul ac unilya, tusruktu tukun len tolu el ac fah sifil moulyak.”
33And after they have scourged him, they will put him to death; and the third day he shall rise again.
34Mwet tumal lutlut elos tiana kalem ke ma inge; kalmen kas inge wikla nu selos, ac elos tia etu ma Jesus el kaskas kac uh.
34And they understood none of these things, and this word was hid from them, and they understood not the things that were said.
35Ke Jesus el tuku apkuranyang nu Jericho, oasr mwet kun se muta sisken inkanek uh ac ngusr.
35Now it came to pass, when he drew nigh to Jericho, that a certain blind man sat by the way side, begging.
36And when he heard the multitude passing by, he asked what this meant.
37Ac elos fahk nu sel, “Jesus lun Nazareth el a fahsryak ngi.”
37And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by.
38Mwet kun sac wowoyak ac fahk, “Jesus! Wen nutin David! Pakomutuk!”
38And he cried out, saying: Jesus, son of David, have mercy on me.
39Mwet ma fahsr meet uh mulat nu sel ac fahk elan misla. Tusruk el wowoyak yohk liki meet, “Wen nutin David! Pakoten nu sik!”
39And they that went before, rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried out much more: Son of David, have mercy on me.
40Ke ma inge Jesus el tui, ac sap in utuku mwet sac nu yorol. Ke el tuku apkuranyang, Jesus el siyuk sel,
40And Jesus standing, commanded him to be brought unto him. And when he was come near, he asked him,
41“Mea kom lungse nga in oru nu sum?” Ac el topuk, “Leum, nga ke nga in sifilpa ku in liye.”
41Saying: What wilt thou that I do to thee? But he said: Lord, that I may see.
42Jesus el fahk nu sel, “Kwal, kom in liye! Lulalfongi lom akkeyekomla.”
42And Jesus said to him: Receive thy sight: thy faith hath made thee whole.
43And immediately he saw, and followed him, glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.
