1Ahaz was twenty years old when he began to reign; and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem; and he did not that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, like David his father;
1亞哈斯 登基的時候年二十歲，在 耶路撒冷 作王十六年；不像他祖 大衛 行耶和華眼中看為正的事，
2but he walked in the ways of the kings of Israel, and made also molten images for the Baalim.
2卻行 以色列 諸王的道，又鑄造 巴力 的像，
3Moreover he offered in the valley of the son of Hinnom, and burnt his children in the fire, according to the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.
3並且在 欣嫩子谷 燒香，用火焚燒他的兒女，行耶和華在 以色列 人面前所驅逐的外邦人那可憎的事；
4And he sacrificed and offered in the high places, and on the hills, and under every leafy tree.
4並在邱壇上、山岡上、各青翠樹下獻祭燒香。
5Wherefore the LORD his God delivered him into the hand of the king of Aram; and they smote him, and carried away of his a great multitude of captives, and brought them to Damascus. And he was also delivered into the hand of the king of Israel, who smote him with a great slaughter.
5所以，耶和華－他的上帝將他交在 亞蘭 王手裏。 亞蘭 王打敗他，擄了他許多的民，帶到 大馬士革 去。上帝又將他交在 以色列 王手裏， 以色列 王向他大行殺戮。
6For Pekah the son of Remaliah slew in Judah a hundred and twenty thousand in one day, all of them valiant men; because they had forsaken the LORD, the God of their fathers.
6利瑪利 的兒子 比加 一日殺了 猶大 人十二萬，都是勇士，因為他們離棄了耶和華－他們列祖的上帝。
7And Zichri, a mighty man of Ephraim, slew Maaseiah the king's son, and Azrikam the ruler of the house, and Elkanah that was next to the king.
7有一個 以法蓮 中的勇士，名叫 細基利 ，殺了王的兒子 瑪西雅 和管理王宮的 押斯利甘 ，並宰相 以利加拿 。
8And the children of Israel carried away captive of their brethren two hundred thousand women, sons, and daughters, and took also away much spoil from them, and brought the spoil to Samaria.
8以色列 人擄了他們的弟兄，連婦人帶兒女共有二十萬，又掠了許多的財物，帶到 撒馬利亞 去了。
9But a prophet of the LORD was there, whose name was Oded; and he went out to meet the host that came to Samaria, and said unto them: 'Behold, because the LORD, the God of your fathers, was wroth with Judah, He hath delivered them into your hand, and ye have slain them in a rage which hath reached up unto heaven.
9但那裏有耶和華的一個先知，名叫 俄德 ，出來迎接往 撒馬利亞 去的軍兵，對他們說：「因為耶和華－你們列祖的上帝惱怒 猶大 人，所以將他們交在你們手裏，你們竟怒氣沖天，大行殺戮。
10And now ye purpose to bring the children of Judah and Jerusalem into subjection for bondmen and bondwomen unto you; but are there not even with you acts of guilt of your own against the LORD your God?
10如今你們又有意強逼 猶大 人和 耶路撒冷 人作你們的奴婢，你們豈不也有得罪耶和華－你們上帝的事嗎？
11Now hear me therefore, and send back the captives, that ye have taken captive of your brethren; for the fierce wrath of the LORD is upon you.'
11現在你們當聽我說，要將擄來的弟兄釋放回去，因為耶和華向你們已經大發烈怒。」
12Then certain of the heads of the children of Ephraim, Azariah the son of Jehohanan, Berechiah the son of Meshillemoth, and Jehizkiah the son of Shallum, and Amasa the son of Hadlai, stood up against them that came from the war,
12於是， 以法蓮 人的幾個族長－就是 約哈難 的兒子 亞撒利雅 、 米實利末 的兒子 比利家 、 沙龍 的兒子 耶希西家 、 哈得萊 的兒子 亞瑪撒 －起來攔擋出兵回來的人，
13and said unto them: 'Ye shall not bring in the captives hither; for ye purpose that which will bring upon us guilt against the LORD, to add unto our sins and to our guilt; for our guilt is great, and there is fierce wrath against Israel.'
13對他們說：「你們不可帶進這被擄的人來！你們想要使我們得罪耶和華，加增我們的罪惡過犯？因為我們的罪過甚大，已經有烈怒臨到 以色列 人了。」
14So the armed men left the captives and the spoil before the princes and all the congregation.
14於是帶兵器的人將擄來的人口和掠來的財物都留在眾首領和會眾的面前。
15And the men that have been mentioned by name rose up, and took the captives, and with the spoil clothed all that were naked among them, and arrayed them, and shod them, and gave them to eat and to drink, and anointed them, and carried all the feeble of them upon asses, and brought them to Jericho, the city of palm-trees, unto their brethren; then they returned to Samaria.
15以上提名的那些人就站起，使被擄的人前來；其中有赤身的，就從所掠的財物中拿出衣服和鞋來，給他們穿，又給他們吃喝，用膏抹他們；其中有軟弱的，就使他們騎驢，送到棕樹城 耶利哥 他們弟兄那裏；隨後就回 撒馬利亞 去了。
16At that time did king Ahaz send unto the kings of Assyria to help him.
16那時， 亞哈斯 王差遣人去見 亞述 諸王，求他們幫助；
17For again the Edomites had come and smitten Judah, and carried away captives.
17因為 以東 人又來攻擊 猶大 ，擄掠子民。
18The Philistines also had invaded the cities of the Lowland, and of the South of Judah, and had taken Beth-shemesh, and Aijalon, and Gederoth, and Soco with the towns thereof, and Timnah with the towns thereof, Gimzo also and the towns thereof; and they dwelt there.
18非利士 人也來侵佔高原和 猶大 南方的城邑，取了 伯‧示麥 、 亞雅崙 、 基低羅 ， 梭哥 和屬 梭哥 的鄉村， 亭納 和屬 亭納 的鄉村， 瑾鎖 和屬 瑾鎖 的鄉村，就住在那裏。
19For the LORD brought Judah low because of Ahaz king of Israel; for he had cast away restraint in Judah, and acted treacherously against the LORD.
19因為 以色列 王 亞哈斯 在 猶大 放肆，大大干犯耶和華，所以耶和華使 猶大 卑微。
20And Tillegath-pilneser king of Assyria came unto him, and distressed him, but strengthened him not.
20亞述 王 提革拉‧毗列色 上來，卻沒有幫助他，反倒欺凌他。
21For Ahaz stripped the house of the LORD, and the house of the king and the princes, and gave thereof unto the king of Assyria; but it helped him not.
21亞哈斯 從耶和華殿裏和王宮中，並首領家內所取的財寶給了 亞述 王，這也無濟於事。
22And in the time of his distress did he act even more treacherously against the LORD, this same king Ahaz.
22這 亞哈斯 王在急難的時候，越發得罪耶和華。
23For he sacrificed unto the gods of Damascus, which smote him; and he said: 'Because the gods of the kings of Aram helped them, therefore will I sacrifice to them, that they may help me.' But they were the ruin of him, and of all Israel.
23他祭祀攻擊他的 大馬士革 之神，說：「因為 亞蘭 王的神幫助他們，我也獻祭與他，他好幫助我。」但那些神使他和 以色列 眾人敗亡了。
24And Ahaz gathered together the vessels of the house of God, and cut in pieces the vessels of the house of God, and shut up the doors of the house of the LORD; and he made him altars in every corner of Jerusalem.
24亞哈斯 將上帝殿裏的器皿都聚了來，毀壞了，且封鎖耶和華殿的門；在 耶路撒冷 各處的拐角建築祭壇，
25And in every city of Judah he made high places to offer unto other gods, and provoked the LORD, the God of his fathers.
25又在 猶大 各城建立邱壇，與別神燒香，惹動耶和華－他列祖上帝的怒氣。
26Now the rest of his acts, and all his ways, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
26亞哈斯 其餘的事和他的行為，自始至終都寫在 猶大 和 以色列 諸王記上。
27And Ahaz slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city, even in Jerusalem; for they brought him not into the sepulchres of the kings of Israel; and Hezekiah his son reigned in his stead.
27亞哈斯 與他列祖同睡，葬在 耶路撒冷 城裏，沒有送入 以色列 諸王的墳墓中。他兒子 希西家 接續他作王。
