1And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking unto Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul.
1大卫 对 扫罗 说完了话， 约拿单 的心与 大卫 的心深相契合。 约拿单 爱 大卫 ，如同爱自己的性命。
2And Saul took him that day, and would let him go no more home to his father's house.
2那日 扫罗 留住 大卫 ，不容他再回父家。
3Then Jonathan made a covenant with David, because he loved him as his own soul.
3约拿单 爱 大卫 如同爱自己的性命，就与他结盟。
4And Jonathan stripped himself of the robe that was upon him, and gave it to David, and his apparel, even to his sword, and to his bow, and to his girdle.
4约拿单 从身上脱下外袍，给了 大卫 ，又将战衣、刀、弓、腰带都给了他。
5And David went out; whithersoever Saul sent him, he had good success; and Saul set him over the men of war; and it was good in the sight of all the people, and also in the sight of Saul's servants.
5扫罗 无论差遣 大卫 往何处去，他都做事精明。 扫罗 就立他作战士长，众百姓和 扫罗 的臣仆无不喜悦。
6And it came to pass as they came, when David returned from the slaughter of the Philistine, that the women came out of all the cities of Israel, singing and dancing, to meet king Saul, with timbrels, with joy, and with three-stringed instruments.
6大卫 打死了那 非利士 人，同众人回来的时候，妇女们从 以色列 各城里出来，欢欢喜喜，打鼓击磬，歌唱跳舞，迎接 扫罗 王。
7And the women sang one to another in their play, and said: Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands.
7众妇女舞蹈唱和，说：「 扫罗 杀死千千， 大卫 杀死万万。」
8And Saul was very wroth, and this saying displeased him; and he said: 'They have ascribed unto David ten thousands, and to me they have ascribed but thousands; and all he lacketh is the kingdom!'
8扫罗 甚发怒，不喜悦这话，就说：「将万万归 大卫 ，千千归我，只剩下王位没有给他了。」
9And Saul eyed David from that day and forward.
9从这日起， 扫罗 就怒视 大卫 。
10And it came to pass on the morrow, that an evil spirit from God came mightily upon Saul, and he raved in the midst of the house; and David played with his hand, as he did day by day; and Saul had his spear in his hand.
10次日，从 神那里来的恶魔大大降在 扫罗 身上，他就在家中胡言乱语。 大卫 照常弹琴， 扫罗 手里拿着枪。
11And Saul cast the spear; for he said: 'I will smite David even to the wall.' And David stepped aside out of his presence twice.
11扫罗 把枪一抡，心里说，我要将 大卫 刺透，钉在墙上。 大卫 躲避他两次。
12And Saul was afraid of David, because the LORD was with him, and was departed from Saul.
12扫罗 惧怕 大卫 ；因为耶和华离开自己，与 大卫 同在。
13Therefore Saul removed him from him, and made him his captain over a thousand; and he went out and came in before the people.
13所以 扫罗 使 大卫 离开自己，立他为千夫长，他就领兵出入。
14And David had great success in all his ways; and the LORD was with him.
14大卫 做事无不精明，耶和华也与他同在。
15And when Saul saw that he had great success, he stood in awe of him.
15扫罗 见 大卫 做事精明，就甚怕他。
16But all Israel and Judah loved David; for he went out and came in before them.
16但 以色列 和 犹大 众人都爱 大卫 ，因为他领他们出入。
17And Saul said to David: 'Behold my elder daughter Merab, her will I give thee to wife; only be thou valiant for me, and fight the LORD'S battles.' For Saul said: 'Let not my hand be upon him, but let the hand of the Philistines be upon him.'
17扫罗 对 大卫 说：「我将大女儿 米拉 给你为妻，只要你为我奋勇，为耶和华争战。」 扫罗 心里说：「我不好亲手害他，要借 非利士 人的手害他。」
18And David said unto Saul: 'Who am I, and what is my life, or my father's family in Israel, that I should be son-in-law to the king?'
18大卫 对 扫罗 说：「我是谁，我是什么出身，我父家在 以色列 中是何等的家，岂敢作王的女婿呢？」
19But it came to pass at the time when Merab Saul's daughter should have been given to David, that she was given unto Adriel the Meholathite to wife.
19扫罗 的女儿 米拉 到了当给 大卫 的时候， 扫罗 却给了 米何拉 人 亚得列 为妻。
20And Michal Saul's daughter loved David; and they told Saul, and the thing pleased him.
20扫罗 的次女 米甲 爱 大卫 。有人告诉 扫罗 ， 扫罗 就喜悦。
21And Saul said: 'I will give him her, that she may be a snare to him, and that the hand of the Philistines may be against him.' Wherefore Saul said to David: 'Thou shalt this day be my son-in-law through the one of the twain.'
21扫罗 心里说：「我将这女儿给 大卫 ，作他的网罗，好借 非利士 人的手害他。」所以 扫罗 对 大卫 说：「你今日可以第二次作我的女婿。」
22And Saul commanded his servants: 'Speak with David secretly, and say: Behold, the king hath delight in thee, and all his servants love thee; now therefore be the king's son-in-law.'
22扫罗 吩咐臣仆 说 ：「你们暗中对 大卫 说：『王喜悦你，王的臣仆也都喜爱你，所以你当作王的女婿。』」
23And Saul's servants spoke those words in the ears of David. And David said: 'Seemeth it to you a light thing to be the king's son-in-law, seeing that I am a poor man, and lightly esteemed?'
23扫罗 的臣仆就照这话说给 大卫 听。 大卫 说：「你们以为作王的女婿是一件小事吗？我是贫穷卑微的人。」
24And the servants of Saul told him, saying: 'On this manner spoke David.'
24扫罗 的臣仆回奏说， 大卫 所说的如此如此。
25And Saul said: 'Thus shall ye say to David: The king desireth not any dowry, but a hundred foreskins of the Philistines, to be avenged of the king's enemies.' For Saul thought to make David fall by the hand of the Philistines.
25扫罗 说：「你们要对 大卫 这样说：『王不要什么聘礼，只要一百 非利士 人的阳皮，好在王的仇敌身上报仇。』」 扫罗 的意思要使 大卫 丧在 非利士 人的手里。
26And when his servants told David these words, it pleased David well to be the king's son-in-law. And the days were not expired;
26扫罗 的臣仆将这话告诉 大卫 ， 大卫 就欢喜作王的女婿。日期还没有到，
27and David arose and went, he and his men, and slew of the Philistines two hundred men; and David brought their foreskins, and they gave them in full number to the king, that he might be the king's son-in-law. And Saul gave him Michal his daughter to wife.
27大卫 和跟随他的人起身前往，杀了二百 非利士 人，将阳皮满数交给王，为要作王的女婿。于是 扫罗 将女儿 米甲 给 大卫 为妻。
28And Saul saw and knew that the LORD was with David; and Michal Saul's daughter loved him.
28扫罗 见耶和华与 大卫 同在，又知道女儿 米甲 爱 大卫 ，
29And Saul was yet the more afraid of David; and Saul was David's enemy continually.
29就更怕 大卫 ，常作 大卫 的仇敌。
30Then the princes of the Philistines went forth; and it came to pass, as often as they went forth, that David prospered more than all the servants of Saul; so that his name was much set by.
30每逢 非利士 军长出来 打仗 ， 大卫 比 扫罗 的臣仆做事精明，因此他的名被人尊重。
