1再び、主の言葉が私に臨んだ。
1Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2「人の子よ、エルサレムに、その忌むべき行いを思い知らせよ。
2Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations,
3こう言え。『主なる神はエルサレムにこう言われる。「あなたの出自と誕生はカナン人の地にある。あなたの父はアモリ人、あなたの母はヘテ人であった。
3And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto Jerusalem; Thy birth and thy nativity is of the land of Canaan; thy father was an Amorite, and thy mother an Hittite.
4あなたの誕生について言えば、あなたが生まれた日、へその緒は切られず、清めるために水で洗われず、塩でこすられることも、布で包まれることもなかった。
4And as for thy nativity, in the day thou wast born thy navel was not cut, neither wast thou washed in water to supple thee; thou wast not salted at all, nor swaddled at all.
5だれの目もあなたを惜しまず、あなたをあわれんで、これらのことを一つでもしてくれる者はいなかった。あなたは生まれた日に忌み嫌われ、野原に投げ捨てられた。
5None eye pitied thee, to do any of these unto thee, to have compassion upon thee; but thou wast cast out in the open field, to the lothing of thy person, in the day that thou wast born.
6わたしがあなたのそばを通り、あなたが血の中でもがいているのを見たとき、血まみれのあなたに、『生きよ』と言った。そうだ、血まみれのあなたに、『生きよ』と言った。
6¶ And when I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thine own blood, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live; yea, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live.
7わたしはあなたを野に生える草のように増えさせた。あなたは育ち、大きくなり、見事な美しさに達した。乳房は形づくられ、髪も伸びた。しかし、あなたは裸で何も身に着けていなかった。
7I have caused thee to multiply as the bud of the field, and thou hast increased and waxen great, and thou art come to excellent ornaments: thy breasts are fashioned, and thine hair is grown, whereas thou wast naked and bare.
8わたしが再びあなたのそばを通り、あなたを見ると、見よ、あなたは愛の時を迎えていた。そこでわたしは衣の裾をあなたの上に広げ、あなたの裸を覆った。わたしはあなたに誓いを立て、あなたと契約を結んだ」と主なる神は言われる。「こうして、あなたはわたしのものとなった。
8Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD , and thou becamest mine.
9それから、わたしはあなたを水で洗った。あなたの血をすっかり洗い流し、油を塗った。
9Then washed I thee with water; yea, I throughly washed away thy blood from thee, and I anointed thee with oil.
10刺繍を施した衣を着せ、革の履物を履かせた。上質の亜麻布をまとわせ、絹で覆った。
10I clothed thee also with broidered work, and shod thee with badgers’ skin, and I girded thee about with fine linen, and I covered thee with silk.
11飾り物であなたを飾り、両手に腕輪をはめ、首に首飾りを掛けた。
11I decked thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck.
12鼻に輪を付け、耳には耳飾りを付け、頭には美しい冠を載せた。
12And I put a jewel on thy forehead, and earrings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thine head.
13こうして、あなたは金と銀で飾られた。あなたの衣服は上質の亜麻布と絹と刺繍を施した布であった。あなたは上等の小麦粉と蜜と油を食べた。あなたは非常に美しくなり、王族の身分にまで栄えた。
13Thus wast thou decked with gold and silver; and thy raiment was of fine linen, and silk, and broidered work; thou didst eat fine flour, and honey, and oil: and thou wast exceeding beautiful, and thou didst prosper into a kingdom.
14あなたの美しさの評判は諸国に広まった。わたしがあなたにまとわせた威光によって、その美しさは完全なものとなった」と主なる神は言われる。
14And thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty: for it was perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord GOD .
15「しかし、あなたは自分の美しさに頼り、自分の名声のために娼婦のように振る舞った。通りかかる者すべてに淫行を注ぎ出し、その者のものとなった。
15¶ But thou didst trust in thine own beauty, and playedst the harlot because of thy renown, and pouredst out thy fornications on every one that passed by; his it was.
16あなたは自分の衣服の一部を取り、色とりどりに飾った高き所を造り、その上で淫行を行った。このようなことは起こるべきではなく、今後も起こってはならない。
16And of thy garments thou didst take, and deckedst thy high places with divers colours, and playedst the harlot thereupon: the like things shall not come, neither shall it be so .
17また、わたしがあなたに与えた、わたしの金と銀の美しい飾り物を取り、男の姿をした像を造り、それらと淫行を行った。
17Thou hast also taken thy fair jewels of my gold and of my silver, which I had given thee, and madest to thyself images of men, and didst commit whoredom with them,
18刺繍を施した衣を取ってそれらの像を覆い、わたしの油と香をその前に供えた。
18And tookest thy broidered garments, and coveredst them: and thou hast set mine oil and mine incense before them.
19わたしがあなたに与えたパン、すなわち、あなたを養うために与えた上等の小麦粉と油と蜜さえも、芳しい香りとしてそれらの前に供えた。実際、そのようになった」と主なる神は言われる。
19My meat also which I gave thee, fine flour, and oil, and honey, wherewith I fed thee, thou hast even set it before them for a sweet savour: and thus it was, saith the Lord GOD .
20「その上、あなたはわたしのために産んだ息子や娘を取り、それらの像に、食い尽くされるいけにえとしてささげた。あなたの淫行は小さなことだったのか。
20Moreover thou hast taken thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou hast borne unto me, and these hast thou sacrificed unto them to be devoured. Is this of thy whoredoms a small matter,
21あなたはわたしの子どもたちを殺し、火の中を通らせて彼らにささげた。
21That thou hast slain my children, and delivered them to cause them to pass through the fire for them?
22あなたはすべての忌むべき行いと淫行の中で、自分の若かった日々を思い出さなかった。そのころ、あなたは裸で何も身に着けず、血の中でもがいていた。
22And in all thine abominations and thy whoredoms thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, when thou wast naked and bare, and wast polluted in thy blood.
23あなたがこれらすべての悪を行った後で――災いだ。災いだ。あなたには災いがある」と主なる神は言われる。
23And it came to pass after all thy wickedness, (woe, woe unto thee! saith the Lord GOD ;)
24「あなたは自分のために丸天井の建物を築き、すべての通りに高い場所を造った。
24That thou hast also built unto thee an eminent place, and hast made thee an high place in every street.
25あらゆる道の分かれ目に高い場所を築き、自分の美しさを忌むべきものとした。通りかかる者すべてに足を開き、淫行を重ねた。
25Thou hast built thy high place at every head of the way, and hast made thy beauty to be abhorred, and hast opened thy feet to every one that passed by, and multiplied thy whoredoms.
26また、肉体のたくましい隣人であるエジプト人と淫行を行い、淫行を重ねて、わたしを怒らせた。
26Thou hast also committed fornication with the Egyptians thy neighbours, great of flesh; and hast increased thy whoredoms, to provoke me to anger.
27それゆえ、見よ、わたしはあなたに向かって手を伸ばし、あなたの取り分を減らし、あなたを憎む者たち、すなわち、あなたの淫らな歩みを恥じているペリシテ人の娘たちの思いのままにさせた。
27Behold, therefore I have stretched out my hand over thee, and have diminished thine ordinary food , and delivered thee unto the will of them that hate thee, the daughters of the Philistines, which are ashamed of thy lewd way.
28あなたは満足することができず、アッシリア人とも淫行を行った。彼らと淫行を行っても、なお満足しなかった。
28Thou hast played the whore also with the Assyrians, because thou wast unsatiable; yea, thou hast played the harlot with them, and yet couldest not be satisfied.
29さらに、商人の地カルデアにまで淫行を増し加えた。それでも満足しなかった。
29Thou hast moreover multiplied thy fornication in the land of Canaan unto Chaldea; and yet thou wast not satisfied herewith.
30あなたの心は、なんと弱いのか」と主なる神は言われる。「厚かましい娼婦のするこれらすべてのことを行うとは。
30How weak is thine heart, saith the Lord GOD , seeing thou doest all these things , the work of an imperious whorish woman;
31あらゆる道の分かれ目に丸天井の建物を築き、すべての通りに高い場所を造った。しかし、報酬をさげすむあなたは、普通の娼婦のようでさえなかった。
31In that thou buildest thine eminent place in the head of every way, and makest thine high place in every street; and hast not been as an harlot, in that thou scornest hire;
32夫の代わりに見知らぬ男たちを受け入れる、姦淫の妻よ。
32But as a wife that committeth adultery, which taketh strangers instead of her husband!
33人々はすべての娼婦に贈り物をする。しかし、あなたは自分のすべての愛人に贈り物をし、彼らが四方からあなたのもとへ来て淫行を行うよう、彼らを買収した。
33They give gifts to all whores: but thou givest thy gifts to all thy lovers, and hirest them, that they may come unto thee on every side for thy whoredom.
34あなたの淫行は、ほかの女たちとは反対である。だれも淫行をするためにあなたを追い求めない。あなたは報酬を受けるのではなく、自分から報酬を与える。まさに、あなたはほかの女たちとは正反対である。」
34And the contrary is in thee from other women in thy whoredoms, whereas none followeth thee to commit whoredoms: and in that thou givest a reward, and no reward is given unto thee, therefore thou art contrary.
35それゆえ、娼婦よ、主の言葉を聞け。
35¶ Wherefore, O harlot, hear the word of the LORD :
36主なる神はこう言われる。「あなたが愛人たちと淫行を行い、あなたの汚れが注ぎ出され、裸がさらされたため、また、すべての忌むべき偶像のため、さらに、それらに与えた子どもたちの血のため、
36Thus saith the Lord GOD ; Because thy filthiness was poured out, and thy nakedness discovered through thy whoredoms with thy lovers, and with all the idols of thy abominations, and by the blood of thy children, which thou didst give unto them;
37見よ、わたしはあなたが喜んだすべての愛人、あなたが愛したすべての者、さらに、あなたが憎んだすべての者を集める。彼らを四方からあなたに敵対して集め、あなたの裸を彼らの前にさらす。彼らはあなたの裸をすべて見る。
37Behold, therefore I will gather all thy lovers, with whom thou hast taken pleasure, and all them that thou hast loved, with all them that thou hast hated; I will even gather them round about against thee, and will discover thy nakedness unto them, that they may see all thy nakedness.
38わたしは、姦淫を行い、血を流す女たちが裁かれるように、あなたを裁く。怒りとねたみによる血の報いをあなたにもたらす。
38And I will judge thee, as women that break wedlock and shed blood are judged; and I will give thee blood in fury and jealousy.
39わたしはあなたを彼らの手に渡す。彼らはあなたの丸天井の建物を取り壊し、高い場所を打ち壊す。あなたの衣服をはぎ取り、美しい飾り物を奪い、あなたを裸のまま残す。
39And I will also give thee into their hand, and they shall throw down thine eminent place, and shall break down thy high places: they shall strip thee also of thy clothes, and shall take thy fair jewels, and leave thee naked and bare.
40彼らは一団をあなたに差し向け、あなたを石で打ち、剣で刺し貫く。
40They shall also bring up a company against thee, and they shall stone thee with stones, and thrust thee through with their swords.

41And they shall burn thine houses with fire, and execute judgments upon thee in the sight of many women: and I will cause thee to cease from playing the harlot, and thou also shalt give no hire any more.
42こうして、あなたに対するわたしの憤りを静め、わたしのねたみをあなたから去らせる。わたしは静まり、もはや怒らない。
42So will I make my fury toward thee to rest, and my jealousy shall depart from thee, and I will be quiet, and will be no more angry.
43あなたは自分の若かった日々を思い出さず、これらすべてのことによってわたしに向かって荒れ狂った。それゆえ、見よ、わたしもあなたの歩みをあなた自身の頭に報いる」と主なる神は言われる。「あなたは自分のすべての忌むべき行いに加えて、この淫らな行いを重ねることはない。
43Because thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, but hast fretted me in all these things; behold, therefore I also will recompense thy way upon thine head, saith the Lord GOD : and thou shalt not commit this lewdness above all thine abominations.
44見よ、ことわざを使う者は皆、あなたについて、『母のように、その娘も同じだ』ということわざを使う。
44¶ Behold, every one that useth proverbs shall use this proverb against thee, saying, As is the mother, so is her daughter.
45あなたは、自分の夫と子どもたちを忌み嫌った母の娘であり、自分の夫と子どもたちを忌み嫌った姉妹たちの姉妹である。あなたの母はヘテ人、父はアモリ人であった。
45Thou art thy mother’s daughter, that lotheth her husband and her children; and thou art the sister of thy sisters, which lothed their husbands and their children: your mother was an Hittite, and your father an Amorite.
46あなたの姉はサマリアであり、その娘たちと共にあなたの左に住んでいる。あなたの妹はソドムであり、その娘たちと共にあなたの右に住んでいる。
46And thine elder sister is Samaria, she and her daughters that dwell at thy left hand: and thy younger sister, that dwelleth at thy right hand, is Sodom and her daughters.
47あなたは彼女たちの道を歩み、その忌むべき行いを行うだけでは済まず、ほどなくして、あらゆる道で彼女たち以上に堕落した。
47Yet hast thou not walked after their ways, nor done after their abominations: but, as if that were a very little thing , thou wast corrupted more than they in all thy ways.
48わたしは生きている」と主なる神は言われる。「あなたの姉妹ソドムとその娘たちも、あなたとあなたの娘たちが行ったほどのことは行わなかった。
48As I live, saith the Lord GOD , Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters.
49見よ、あなたの姉妹ソドムの不義はこれであった。彼女とその娘たちには、高ぶりと十分な食べ物と安らかな繁栄があった。しかし、貧しい者や乏しい者を助けなかった。
49Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.
50彼女たちは高慢になり、わたしの前で忌むべきことを行った。それゆえ、わたしはそれを見たとき、彼女たちを取り除いた。
50And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good .
51サマリアは、あなたの罪の半分も犯さなかった。しかし、あなたは彼女たちよりも多くの忌むべき行いを重ね、自分が行ったすべての忌むべき行いによって、姉妹たちを義と認められる者にした。
51Neither hath Samaria committed half of thy sins; but thou hast multiplied thine abominations more than they, and hast justified thy sisters in all thine abominations which thou hast done.

52Thou also, which hast judged thy sisters, bear thine own shame for thy sins that thou hast committed more abominable than they: they are more righteous than thou: yea, be thou confounded also, and bear thy shame, in that thou hast justified thy sisters.
53わたしは彼女たちの捕囚を回復させる。ソドムとその娘たちの捕囚、サマリアとその娘たちの捕囚、そして彼女たちと共にいる、あなたの捕囚の民も回復させる。
53When I shall bring again their captivity, the captivity of Sodom and her daughters, and the captivity of Samaria and her daughters, then will I bring again the captivity of thy captives in the midst of them:
54それは、あなたが自分の恥を負い、自分の行ったすべてのことを恥じるためである。あなたが彼女たちを慰める者となったからである。
54That thou mayest bear thine own shame, and mayest be confounded in all that thou hast done, in that thou art a comfort unto them.
55あなたの姉妹ソドムとその娘たちは以前の状態に戻り、サマリアとその娘たちも以前の状態に戻る。あなたとあなたの娘たちも以前の状態に戻る。
55When thy sisters, Sodom and her daughters, shall return to their former estate, and Samaria and her daughters shall return to their former estate, then thou and thy daughters shall return to your former estate.
56あなたが高ぶっていた日々には、あなたの姉妹ソドムの名があなたの口に上ることさえなかった。
56For thy sister Sodom was not mentioned by thy mouth in the day of thy pride,

57Before thy wickedness was discovered, as at the time of thy reproach of the daughters of Syria, and all that are round about her, the daughters of the Philistines, which despise thee round about.
58あなたは自分の淫らな行いと忌むべき行いの報いを負っている」と主は言われる。
58Thou hast borne thy lewdness and thine abominations, saith the LORD .
59主なる神はこう言われる。「誓いを軽蔑して契約を破ったあなたに、わたしもあなたが行ったとおりに行う。
59For thus saith the Lord GOD ; I will even deal with thee as thou hast done, which hast despised the oath in breaking the covenant.
60しかし、わたしはあなたの若い日々にあなたと結んだ契約を思い起こし、あなたと永遠の契約を立てる。
60¶ Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with thee in the days of thy youth, and I will establish unto thee an everlasting covenant.
61あなたが年上の姉と年下の妹を受け入れるとき、あなたは自分の歩みを思い出して恥じる。わたしは彼女たちを娘としてあなたに与えるが、それはあなたとの契約に基づくのではない。
61Then thou shalt remember thy ways, and be ashamed, when thou shalt receive thy sisters, thine elder and thy younger: and I will give them unto thee for daughters, but not by thy covenant.
62わたしはあなたと契約を立てる。そのとき、あなたは、わたしが主であることを知る。
62And I will establish my covenant with thee; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD :
63わたしがあなたの行ったすべてのことを赦すとき、あなたはそれを思い出して辱められ、自分の恥のために、もはや決して口を開くことができなくなる」と主なる神は言われる。』」
63That thou mayest remember, and be confounded, and never open thy mouth any more because of thy shame, when I am pacified toward thee for all that thou hast done, saith the Lord GOD .
