1ORA quant'è a' figliuoli d'Israele, secondo le lor descrizioni per capi di famiglie paterne, e capitani di migliaia, e di centinaia, ed i loro ufficiali, ogni spartimento di coloro che servivano al re (secondo tutto l'ordine degli spartimenti, de' quali ciascuno entrava ed usciva di mese in mese, per tutti i mesi dell'anno) era di ventiquattromila uomini .
1Now the children of Israel according to their number, the heads of families, captains of thousands and of hundreds, and officers, that served the king according to their companies, who came in and went out every month in the year, under every chief were four and twenty thousand.
2Iasobam, figliuolo di Zabdiel, era sopra il primo spartimento, per lo primo mese; e nel suo spartimento v'erano ventiquattromila uomini .
2Over the first company the first month Jesboam, the son of Zabdiel was chief, and under him were four and twenty thousand.
3Egli era il capo sopra tutti i capitani del primo mese; ed era de' figliuoli di Fares.
3Of the sons of Phares, the chief of all the captains in the host in the first month.
4E sopra lo spartimento del secondo mese era Dodai Ahoheo; e nel suo spartimento, nel quale v'erano ventiquattromila uomini , Miclot era il conduttore.
4The company of the second month was under Dudia, an Ahohite, and after him was another named Macelloth, who commanded a part of the army of four and twenty thousand.
5Il capo del terzo esercito, per lo terzo mese, era Benaia, figliuolo di Gioiada, principale ufficiale; ed egli era capitano in capo; e nel suo spartimento vi erano ventiquattromila uomini .
5And the captain of the third company for the third month, was Banaias the son of Joiada the priest: and in his division were four and twenty thousand.
6Questo Benaia era uomo prode fra i trenta, ed era sopra i trenta; ed Ammizzabad, suo figliuolo, era sopra lo spartimento di esso.
6This is that Banaias the most valiant among the thirty, and above the thirty. And Amizabad his son commanded his company.
7Il quarto, per lo quarto mese, era Asael, fratello di Ioab; e, dopo lui, Zebadia, suo figliuolo; e nel suo spartimento v'erano ventiquattromila uomini .
7The fourth, for the fourth month, was Asahel the brother of Joab, and Zabadias his son after him: and in his company were four and twenty thousand.
8Il quinto capo, per lo quinto mese, era Samhut Israhita; e nel suo spartimento v'erano ventiquattromila uomini .
8The fifth captain for the fifth month, was Samaoth a Jezerite: and his company were four and twenty thousand.
9Il sesto, per lo sesto mese, era Ira, figliuolo d'Icches Tecoita; e nel suo spartimento v'erano ventiquattromila uomini .
9The sixth, for the sixth month, was Hira the son of Acces a Thecuite: and in his company were four and twenty thousand.
10Il settimo, per lo settimo mese, era Heles Pelonita, de'figliuoli di Efraim; e nel suo spartimento v'erano ventiquattromila uomini .
10The seventh, for the seventh month, was Helles a Phallonite of the sons of Ephraim: and in his company were four and twenty thousand.
11L'ottavo, per l'ottavo mese, era Sibbecai Husatita, della nazione de' Zarhiti; e nel suo spartimento v'erano ventiquattromila uomini .
11The eighth, for the eighth month, was Sobochai a Husathite of the race of Zarahi: and in his company were four and twenty thousand.
12Il nono, per lo nono mese, era Abiezer Anatotita, de' figliuoli di Beniamino; e nel suo spartimento v'erano ventiquattromila uomini .
12The ninth, for the ninth month, was Abiezer an Anathothite of the sons of Jemini, and in His company were four and twenty thousand.
13Il decimo, per lo decimo mese, era Maharai Netofatita, della nazione dei Zarhiti; e nel suo spartimento vi erano ventiquattromila uomini .
13The tenth, for the tenth month, was Marai, who was a Netophathite of the race of Zarai: and in his company were four and twenty thousand.
14L'undecimo, per l'undecimo mese, era Benaia Piratonita, de' figliuoli di Efraim; e nel suo spartimento v'erano ventiquattromila uomini .
14The eleventh, for the eleventh month, was Banaias, a Pharathonite of the sons of Ephraim: and in his company were four and twenty thousand.
15Il duodecimo, per lo duodecimo mese, era Heldai Netofatita, della progenie di Otniel; e nel suo spartimento v'erano ventiquattromila uomini .
15The twelfth, for the twelfth month, was Holdai a Netophathite, of the race of Gothoniel: and in his company were four and twenty thousand.
16OLTRE a ciò, vi erano de' conduttori sopra le tribù d'Israele; Eliezer, figliuolo di Zicri, era conduttore dei Rubeniti; Sefatia, figliuolo di Maaca, dei Simeoniti;
16Now the chiefs over the tribes of Israel were these: over the Rubenites, Eliezer the son of Zechri was ruler: over the Simeonites, Saphatias the son of Maacha:
17Hasabia, figliuolo di Chemuel, de' Leviti; Sadoc, degli Aaroniti;
17Over the Levites, Hasabias the son of Camuel: over the Aaronites, Sadoc:
18Elihu, de' fratelli di Davide, di que' di Giuda; Omri, figliuolo di Micael, degl'Issacariti;
18Over Juda, Eliu the brother of David: over Issachar, Amri the son of Michael:
19Ismaia, figliuolo di Obadia, de' Zabuloniti; Ierimot, figliuolo di Azriel, de' Neftaliti;
19Over the Zabulonites, Jesmaias the son of Adias: over the Nephtalites, Jerimoth the son of Ozriel:
20Hosea, figliuolo di Azazia, de' figliuoli di Efraim; Ioel, figliuolo di Pedaia, della mezza tribù di Manasse;
20Over the sons of Ephraim, Osee the: son of Ozaziu: over the half tribe of Manasses, Joel the son of Phadaia:
21Iddo, figliuolo di Zaccaria, dell' altra mezza tribù di Manasse, in Galaad; Iaaziel, figliuolo di Abner, dei Beniaminiti;
21And over the half tribe of Manasses: in Galaad, Jaddo the son of Zacharias: and over Benjamin, Jasiel the son of Abner.
22Azareel, figliuolo di Ieroham, de' Daniti. Questi furono i capi principali delle tribù d'Israele.
22And over Dan, Ezrihel the son of Jeroham: these were the princes of the children of Israel.
23E Davide non levò il numero di essi dall'età di vent'anni in giù; perciocchè il Signore avea detto d'accrescere Israele come le stelle del cielo.
23But David would not number them from twenty years old and under: because the Lord had said that he would multiply Israel like the stars of heaven.
24Ioab, figliuolo di Seruia, avea ben cominciato ad annoverare così il popolo , ma non finì; e per questo vi fu indegnazione contro ad Israele; laonde quella descrizione non fu messa fra le descrizioni poste ne' registri del re Davide.
24Joab the son of Sarvia began to number, but he finished not: because upon this there fell wrath upon Israel: and therefore the number of them that were numbered, was not registered in the chronicles of king David.
25ED Azmavet, figliuolo di Adiel, era sopra i tesori del re; e Gionatan, figliuolo di Uzzia, era sopra i tesori della campagna, nelle città, nelle villate, e nelle castella;
25And over the king’s treasures was Azmoth the son of Adiel: and over those stores which were in the cities, and is the villages, and in the castles, was Jonathan the son of Ozias.
26ed Ezri, figliuolo di Chelub, era sopra quelli che lavoravano nella campagna nel lavoro della terra;
26And over the tillage, and the husbandmen, who tilled the ground, was Ezri the son of Chelub:
27e Simi Ramatita era sopra le vigne; e Zabdi Sifmita era sopra i cellieri ch' erano nei vignai, e sopra le conserve del vino;
27And over the dressers of the vineyards, was Semeias a Romathite: and over the wine cellars, Zabdias an Aphonite.
28e Baal-hanan Ghederita, era sopra gli ulivi, e sopra i fichi, ch' erano nella campagna; e Gioas era sopra i cellieri dell'olio;
28And over the oliveyards and the fig groves, which were in the plains, was Balanam a Gederite: and over the oil cellars, Joas.
29e Sitrai Saronita era sopra gli armenti che pascevano in Saron; e Safat, figliuolo di Adlai, era sopra gli armenti che pascevano nelle valli;
29And over the herds that fed in Saron, was Setrai a Saronite: and over the. oxen in the valleys, Saphat the son of Adli:
30ed Obil Ismaelita era sopra i cammelli; e Iedeia Merenotita era sopra le asine.
30And over the camels, Ubil an Ishmahelite: and over the asses, Jadias a Meronathite:
31E Iaziz Hagareno era sopra le gregge del minuto bestiame. Tutti costoro aveano il governo delle facoltà del re Davide.
31And over the sheep Jazia an Agarene. All these were the rulers of the substance of king David.
32E Gionatan, zio di Davide, uomo intendente e letterato, era consigliere; e Iehiel, figliuolo di Hacmoni, era co' figliuoli del re;
32And Jonathan David’s uncle, a counsellor, a wise and learned man: he and Jahiel the son of Hachamoni were with the king’s sons.
33ed Ahitofel era consigliere del re; ed Husai Archita era famigliare del re;
33And Achitophel was the king’s counsellor, and Chusai the Arachite, the king’s friend.
34e dopo Ahitofel, fu Gioiada, figliuolo di Benaia, ed Ebiatar; e Ioab era capo dell'esercito del re.
34And after Achitophel was Joiada the son of Banaias, and Abiathar. And the general of the king’s army was Joab.
