1Đây là số của những trưởng tộc của dân Y-sơ-ra-ên, tức các quan tướng cai ngàn người và cai trăm người, và các quan trưởng của chúng vẫn phục sự vua, cai quản các ban thứ quanh năm mỗi tháng thay nhau đi ra đi vào; mỗi ban thứ số được hai vạn bốn ngàn người.
1Now the children of Israel according to their number, the heads of families, captains of thousands and of hundreds, and officers, that served the king according to their companies, who came in and went out every month in the year, under every chief were four and twenty thousand.
2Ban trưởng của ban thứ nhất về tháng giêng, là Gia-sô-bê-am, con trai của Xáp-đi-ên; trong ban người có hai vạn bốn ngàn người.
2Over the first company the first month Jesboam, the son of Zabdiel was chief, and under him were four and twenty thousand.
3Người thuộc về dòng Phê-rết, làm đầu các quan tướng về tháng giêng.
3Of the sons of Phares, the chief of all the captains in the host in the first month.
4Ban trưởng của ban tháng hai là Đô-đai, người A-hô-ha; Mích-lô làm quan chánh trong ban người; ban người có hai vạn bốn ngàn người.

5Ban trưởng của ban thứ ba về tháng ba, là Bê-na-gia, con trai của thầy tế lễ Giê-hô-gia-đa; trong ban người có hai vạn bốn ngàn người.
5And the captain of the third company for the third month, was Banaias the son of Joiada the priest: and in his division were four and twenty thousand.
6Bê-na-gia nầy là người mạnh dạn trong ba mươi người kia, và làm đầu ba mươi người ấy; Am-mi-xa-đáp, con trai người, cũng ở trong ban người.
6This is that Banaias the most valiant among the thirty, and above the thirty. And Amizabad his son commanded his company.
7Ban trưởng thứ tư về tháng tư, là A-sa-ên, anh em của Giô-áp, và Xê-ba-đia, con trai người, tiếp theo người; trong ban người có hai vạn bốn ngàn người.
7The fourth, for the fourth month, was Asahel the brother of Joab, and Zabadias his son after him: and in his company were four and twenty thousand.
8Ban trưởng thứ năm về tháng năm, là Sa-mê-hút, người Gít-ra; trong ban người có hai vạn bốn ngàn người.
8The fifth captain for the fifth month, was Samaoth a Jezerite: and his company were four and twenty thousand.
9Ban trưởng thứ sáu về tháng sáu, là Y-ra, con trai Y-ke, ở Thê-cô-a; trong ban người có hai vạn bốn ngàn người.
9The sixth, for the sixth month, was Hira the son of Acces a Thecuite: and in his company were four and twenty thousand.
10Ban trưởng thứ bảy về tháng bảy, là Hê-lết, người chi phái Eùp-ra-im ở Pha-lôn; trong ban người có hai vạn bốn ngàn người.
10The seventh, for the seventh month, was Helles a Phallonite of the sons of Ephraim: and in his company were four and twenty thousand.
11Ban trưởng thứ tám về tháng tám, là Si-bê-cai, ở Hu-sa, thuộc về dòng Xê-rách; trong ban người có hai vạn bốn ngàn người.
11The eighth, for the eighth month, was Sobochai a Husathite of the race of Zarahi: and in his company were four and twenty thousand.
12Ban trưởng thứ chín về tháng chín, là A-bi-ê-xe, người chi phái Bên-gia-min, ở A-na-tốt; trong ban người có hai vạn bốn ngàn người.
12The ninth, for the ninth month, was Abiezer an Anathothite of the sons of Jemini, and in His company were four and twenty thousand.
13Ban trưởng thứ mười về tháng mười, là Ma-ha-rai, về dòng Xê-rách ở Nê-tô-pha; trong ban người có hai vạn bốn ngàn người.
13The tenth, for the tenth month, was Marai, who was a Netophathite of the race of Zarai: and in his company were four and twenty thousand.
14Ban trưởng thứ mười một về tháng mười một, là Bê-na-gia, người chi phái Eùp-ra-im, ở Phi-ra-thôn; trong ban người có hai vạn bốn ngàn người.
14The eleventh, for the eleventh month, was Banaias, a Pharathonite of the sons of Ephraim: and in his company were four and twenty thousand.
15Ban trưởng thứ mười hai về tháng chạp, là Hiên-đai, về dòng Oát-ni-ên, ở Nê-tô-pha; trong ban người có hai vạn bốn ngàn người.
15The twelfth, for the twelfth month, was Holdai a Netophathite, of the race of Gothoniel: and in his company were four and twenty thousand.
16Đây là các người cai quản các chi phái Y-sơ-ra-ên: Ê-li-ê-xe, con trai Xiếc-ri, cai quản người Ru-bên; người cai quản người Si-mê-ôn, là Sê-pha-tia, con trai Ma-a-ca;
16Now the chiefs over the tribes of Israel were these: over the Rubenites, Eliezer the son of Zechri was ruler: over the Simeonites, Saphatias the son of Maacha:
17người cai quản chi phái Lê-vi là Ha-sa-bia, con trai của Kê-mu-ên; còn Xa-đốc cai quản con cháu A-rôn;
17Over the Levites, Hasabias the son of Camuel: over the Aaronites, Sadoc:
18người cai quản Giu-đa là Ê-li-hu, anh em của Đa-vít; người cai quản Y-sa-ca là Oâm-ri, con trai của Mi-ca-ên;
18Over Juda, Eliu the brother of David: over Issachar, Amri the son of Michael:
19người cai quản Sa-bu-lôn là Dít-ma-hia, con trai của Ô-ba-đia; người cai quản Nép-ta-li là Giê-ri-mốt, con trai của A-ri-ên;
19Over the Zabulonites, Jesmaias the son of Adias: over the Nephtalites, Jerimoth the son of Ozriel:
20người cai quản con cháu Eùp-ra-im là Ô-sê, con trai của A-xa-xia; người cai quản nửa chi phái Ma-na-se là Giô-ên, con trai Phê-đa-gia;
20Over the sons of Ephraim, Osee the: son of Ozaziu: over the half tribe of Manasses, Joel the son of Phadaia:
21người cai quản nửa chi phái Ma-na-se, tại xứ Ga-la-át, là Gi-đô, con trai của Xa-cha-ri, người cai quản Bên-gia-min là Gia-a-xi-ên, con trai Aùp-ne;
21And over the half tribe of Manasses: in Galaad, Jaddo the son of Zacharias: and over Benjamin, Jasiel the son of Abner.
22người cai quản Đan là A-xa-rên, con trai của Giê-rô-ham. Aáy đó là các trưởng của các chi phái Y-sơ-ra-ên.
22And over Dan, Ezrihel the son of Jeroham: these were the princes of the children of Israel.
23Đa-vít không lấy số dân Y-sơ-ra-ên từ hai mươi tuổi sấp xuống, bởi vì Đức Giê-hô-va có hứa rằng sẽ làm tăng lên Y-sơ-ra-ên đông như sao trên trời.
23But David would not number them from twenty years old and under: because the Lord had said that he would multiply Israel like the stars of heaven.
24Giô-áp, con trai của Xê-ru-gia, khởi lấy số, nhưng không xong được; vì cớ việc đó nên có cơn thịnh nộ giáng họa trên Y-sơ-ra-ên; và số tu bộ ấy không nhập vào số của sử ký vua Đa-vít.
24Joab the son of Sarvia began to number, but he finished not: because upon this there fell wrath upon Israel: and therefore the number of them that were numbered, was not registered in the chronicles of king David.
25Aùch-ma-vết, con trai A-đi-ên, cai các khung thành của vua; Giô-na-than, con trai U-xi-gia, cai các kho tàng ở đồng ruộng, ở trong các thành phố, trong những làng và trong những đồn.
25And over the king’s treasures was Azmoth the son of Adiel: and over those stores which were in the cities, and is the villages, and in the castles, was Jonathan the son of Ozias.
26Eát-ri, con trai Kê-lúp, cai các kẻ lo làm ruộng cày đất;
26And over the tillage, and the husbandmen, who tilled the ground, was Ezri the son of Chelub:
27Sim-ri, người Ra-ma, coi sóc các vườn nho; còn Xáp-đi, người Sê-pham, coi sóc kho rượu trong vườn nho;
27And over the dressers of the vineyards, was Semeias a Romathite: and over the wine cellars, Zabdias an Aphonite.
28Ba-anh-Ha-nan, người Ghê-đe, coi sóc các cây ô-li-ve và cây sung mọc trong xứ đồng bằng; còn Giô-ách coi sóc các kho dầu;
28And over the oliveyards and the fig groves, which were in the plains, was Balanam a Gederite: and over the oil cellars, Joas.
29Sít-trai, người Sa-rôn, coi sóc các bầy bò ăn cỏ tại Sa-rôn; còn Sa-phát, con trai Aùt-lai, coi sóc các bầy bò ở trong trũng;
29And over the herds that fed in Saron, was Setrai a Saronite: and over the. oxen in the valleys, Saphat the son of Adli:
30Ô-binh, người ỗch-ma-ên, coi sóc các lạc đà; Giê-đia, người Mê-rô-nốt, coi sóc các lừa cái; Gia-xít, người Ha-ga-rít, coi sóc các bầy chiên.
30And over the camels, Ubil an Ishmahelite: and over the asses, Jadias a Meronathite:
31Các người đó đều là kẻ cai quản các sản nghiệp của vua Đa-vít.
31And over the sheep Jazia an Agarene. All these were the rulers of the substance of king David.
32Giô-na-than, cậu của Đa-vít, làm mưu sĩ, là một người thông sáng và làm quan ký lục; còn Giê-hi-ên con trai của Hác-mô-ni, làm giáo sư các vương tử.
32And Jonathan David’s uncle, a counsellor, a wise and learned man: he and Jahiel the son of Hachamoni were with the king’s sons.
33A-hi-tô-phên làm mưu sĩ của vua; Hu-sai, người Aït-kít, là bạn hữu của vua.
33And Achitophel was the king’s counsellor, and Chusai the Arachite, the king’s friend.
34Sau A-hi-tô-phên có Giê-hô-gia-đa, con trai của Bê-na-gia, và A-bia-tha. Giô-áp làm quan tướng đạo binh của vua.
34And after Achitophel was Joiada the son of Banaias, and Abiathar. And the general of the king’s army was Joab.
