1Assemble yourselves together, be gathered together, O nation not worthy to be loved:
1不知羞恥的國民哪，你們應當聚集！ 趁命令沒有發出， 日子過去如 風前的 糠， 耶和華的烈怒未臨到你們， 他發怒的日子未到以先， 你們應當聚集前來。
2Before the decree bring forth the day as dust passing away, before the fierce anger of the Lord come upon you, before the day of the Lord’s indignation come upon you.

3Seek the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, you that have wrought his judgment: seek the just, seek the meek: if by any means you may be hid in the day of the Lord’s indignation.
3世上遵守耶和華典章的謙卑人哪， 你們都當尋求耶和華！ 當尋求公義謙卑， 或者在耶和華發怒的日子可以隱藏起來。
4For Gaza shall be destroyed, and Ascalon shall be a desert, they shall cast out Azotus at noonday, and Accaron shall be rooted up.
4迦薩 必致見棄； 亞實基倫 必然荒涼。 人在正午必趕出 亞實突 的民； 以革倫 也被拔出根來。
5Woe to you that inhabit the sea coast, O nation of reprobates: the word of the Lord upon you, O Chanaan, the land of the Philistines, and I will destroy thee, so that there shall not be an inhabitant.
5住沿海之地的 基利提 族有禍了！ 迦南 、 非利士 人之地啊，耶和華的話與你反對， 說 ：我必毀滅你，以致無人居住。
6And the sea coast shall be the resting place of shepherds, and folds for cattle:
6沿海之地要變為草場， 其上有牧人的住處和羊群的圈。
7And it shall be the portion of him that shall remain of the house of Juda, there they shall feed: in the houses of Ascalon they shall rest in the evening: because the Lord their God will visit them, and bring back their captivity.
7這地必為 猶大 家剩下的人所得； 他們必在那裏牧放 群羊 ， 晚上必躺臥在 亞實基倫 的房屋中； 因為耶和華－他們的上帝必眷顧他們， 使他們被擄的人歸回。
8I have heard the reproach of Moab, and the blasphemies of the children of Ammon, with which they reproached my people, and have magnified themselves upon their borders.
8我聽見 摩押 人的毀謗和 亞捫 人的辱罵， 就是毀謗我的百姓，自誇自大， 侵犯他們的境界。
9Therefore as I live, saith the Lord of hosts the God of Israel, Moab shall be as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrha, the dryness of thorns, and heaps of salt, and a desert even for ever: the remnant of my people shall make a spoil of them, and the residue of my nation shall possess them.
9萬軍之耶和華－ 以色列 的上帝說： 我指着我的永生起誓： 摩押 必像 所多瑪 ， 亞捫 人必像 蛾摩拉 ， 都變為刺草、鹽坑、永遠荒廢之地。 我百姓所剩下的必擄掠他們； 我國中所餘剩的必得着他們的地。
10This shall befall them for their pride: because they have blasphemed, and have been magnified against the people of the Lord of hosts.
10這事臨到他們是因他們驕傲，自誇自大， 毀謗萬軍之耶和華的百姓。
11The Lord shall be terrible upon them, and shall consume all the gods of the earth: and they shall adore him every man from his own place, all the islands of the Gentiles.
11耶和華必向他們顯可畏之威， 因他必叫世上的諸神瘦弱。 列國海島的居民各在自己的地方敬拜他。
12You Ethiopians, also shall be slain with my sword.
12古實 人哪，你們必被我的刀所殺。
13And he will stretch out his hand upon the north, and will destroy Assyria: and he will make the beautiful city a wilderness, and as a place not passable, and as a desert.
13耶和華必伸手攻擊北方，毀滅 亞述 ， 使 尼尼微 荒涼，又乾旱如曠野。
14And flocks shall lie down in the midst thereof, all the beasts of the nations: and the bittern and the urchin shall lodge in the threshold thereof: the voice of the singing bird in the window, the raven on the upper post, for I will consume her strength.
14群畜，就是各國的走獸必臥在其中； 鵜鶘和箭豬要宿在柱頂上。 在窗戶內有鳴叫的聲音； 門檻都必毀壞， 香柏木已經露出。
15This is the glorious city that dwelt in security: that said in her heart: I am, and there is none beside me: how is she become a desert, a place for beasts to lie down in? every one that passeth by her, shall hiss, and wag his hand.
15這是素來歡樂安然居住的城， 心裏說：惟有我，除我以外再沒有別的； 現在何竟荒涼成為野獸躺臥之處！ 凡經過的人都必搖手嗤笑她。
