Meriam Mir Gospels
1And on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came to the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared.
1Ege ditimedelu abele gerger sabath ge, uiaba bakeuare abele ao ge, bane ge, uiaba ais abele lu debe laglag emetu derser, uader kosker uiabi kemem.
2And they found the stone rolled back from the sepulchre.
2Ege uiaba erdali abele baker aolam emetu diski.
3And going in, they found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
3Ege uiaba barot muige, uiaba nole erdali Iesu ra gem.
4And it came to pass, as they were astonished in their mind at this, behold, two men stood by them, in shining apparel.
4Ege uiaba operem abele lu: dasmer, neis le ekuei uiaba opem, am zoromzorom uali:
5And as they were afraid, and bowed down their countenance towards the ground, they said unto them: Why seek you the living with the dead?
5Ege uiaba au geum, a uiaba op esorgiru sepem, ege uiaba detager, kega, Nalu uaba deraimer? E emetu eded akaid, nole uiabi kemem eud le giz,
6He is not here, but is risen. Remember how he spoke unto you, when he was in Galilee,
6E nole abele uteb, E ko ekuei: uaba dikiapor abara mer abele kerker ge uaba okakis emeri Galilaia ge,
7Saying: The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
7E detager, kega, Abkoreb Le la Uerem ikuar uit le la tag, a satauro, a neisi netate gerger ko eded akaid.
8And they remembered his words.
8A uiaba dikiapor abara mer.
9And going back from the sepulchre, they told all these things to the eleven, and to all the rest.
9Ege uiaba ko akomed abele aolam, a uiaba etomeret gaire lu uiabim eleuen le, a pako le uridili.
10And it was Mary Magdalen, and Joanna, and Mary of James, and the other women that were with them, who told these things to the apostles.
10Maria Magadalena, a Ioana, a Maria Iakobo ra apu, pako uiaba uridili, uiaba etomeret abele lu uiabim aposetelo giz.
11And these words seemed to them as idle tales; and they did not believe them.
11A ui ge abele mer dikiaporare, kega, No mer pe deke; abelelam nole oatur kak.
12But Peter rising up, ran to the sepulchre, and stooping down, he saw the linen cloths laid by themselves; and went away wondering in himself at that which was come to pass.
12Ege Peteru ge ekueilu, E au koreder aoem; E esorgiru, E erdar no uali gaire eskeder; A E akomelu tabara metaem, a damer abele lu.
13And behold, two of them went, the same day, to a town which was sixty furlongs from Jerusalem, named Emmaus.
13Dasmer, neisi le uiaba bakeamulei abele gerger ge nerute utebem, nei Emau, ditimed Emau bakedida Ierusalema sikiste setatio.
14And they talked together of all these things which had happened.
14Ege uiaba mer atager abele gaire lu uridili ikeli.
15And it came to pass, that while they talked and reasoned with themselves, Jesus himself also drawing near, went with them.
15Ege uiaba mer atager, a deraimer, epe Iesu maike uiabi dog, a uiaba okakis bakeamu.
16But their eyes were held, that they should not know him.
16A uiaba pone darasam, abelelam uiaba nole abi erdali.
17And he said to them: What are these discourses that you hold one with another as you walk, and are sad?
17Ege E uiabi daratager, kega, Nalu mer pe ua batagreiei, pe ua dekase, a uaba pone mokakalam okasosok?
18And the one of them, whose name was Cleophas, answering, said to him: Art thou only a stranger to Jerusalem, and hast not known the things that have been done there in these days?
18Nerute le uiaba, nei Kaleopa, E abi detager, kega, Nako mama emeri Ierusalema, mama nole umer kak peirdi gaire lu osemeda?
19To whom he said: What things? And they said: Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a prophet, mighty in work and word before God and all the people;
19E uiabi daratager, kega, Nalu lu? A uiaba detaut, kega, Abele lu Iesu Nazareta le, E perofeta, E au saserim gaire lu ikeli, pako abara mer Ade ra opem, pako abele ged uridili:
20And how our chief priests and princes delivered him to be condemned to death, and crucified him.
20Zogozogo le giz, pako meriba tarim le, uiaba ikuar bodomalam eumilu, a uiaba abi satauroem.
21But we hoped, that it was he that should have redeemed Israel: and now besides all this, today is the third day since these things were done.
21Keriba dikiapor E uerkab Isaraela. A gaire lu uridili, abele gerger thri gerger, abele lu ikeli.
22Yea and certain women also of our company affrighted us, who before it was light, were at the sepulchre,
22Keriba au damreda, uader kosker keribielam, uiaba bakeam banege a aoem;
23And not finding his body, came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, who say that he is alive.
23Uiaba nole erdali abara gem, a uiaba bakeamu abele merkem, kega, Keriba erdali angela giz ui keribim detomereta, E emetu ko eded akaida.
24And some of our people went to the sepulchre, and found it so as the women had said, but him they found not.
24Uader keribielam, uiaba bakeamu aoem, uiaba erdali mokakalam kosker detaut: a uiaba nole abi erdali.
25Then he said to them: O foolish, and slow of heart to believe in all things which the prophets have spoken.
25Ege E uiabi daratagerare, kega, Le paim, a peper nerkep, nole oituli gaire lu uridili gaire perofeta giz etomereti!
26Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and so to enter into his glory?
26Abkoreb Keriso kekiam au asias gaire lu mokakalam, a keubu abara zorom tabarki.
27And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded to them in all the scriptures, the things that were concerning him.
27Epe E uiabi etomereti gaire lu, emetu detali abielam jauali uridili, E ditimeda Mose bakedida perofeta uridili.
28And they drew night to the town, whither they were going: and he made as though he would go farther.
28Ege maike abele uteb ge uiaba bakeamu: epe E mokakalam no bakeamu.
29But they constrained him; saying: Stay with us, because it is towards evening, and the day is now far spent. And he went in with them.
29Ege uiaba saserim detaut, kega, Debele ma keribim emeri peike: abelelam gerger ise maike kikem. Epe E barot, a uiaba emeri.
30And it came to pass, whilst he was at table with them, he took bread, and blessed, and brake, and gave to them.
30Ege E eidi eroli okakis uiabim, epe areto erpei, a esoao, a itur, a uiabi naisuerare.
31And their eyes were opened, and they knew him: and he vanished out of their sight.
31Epe uiaba pone bakaelei, a abi dasmerei; E uiabielam badimiriklu.
32And they said one to the other: Was not our heart burning within us, whilst he spoke in this way, and opened to us the scriptures?
32Epe uiaba mer atager, kega, Nako meriba nerkep mokakalam ur muige, abuar ge meribi detager gab ge, E meribi detomelu abele jauali?
33And rising up, the same hour, they went back to Jerusalem: and they found the eleven gathered together, and those that were staying with them,
33Ui ge ekueilei abele haua ge, akomelei Ierusalemaem, a nardarare eleuen le, uiaba etamiare okakis uader uiabi kemem,
34Saying: The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon.
34Ui ge uiabi daratagerare, kega, Ageakar, Opole ko eded akaida, E etomereti Simonaem.
35And they told what things were done in the way; and how they knew him in the breaking of the bread.
35A ui ge detautei abele gaire lu ikeli gab ge, a uiabi erdali a areto itur.
36Now whilst they were speaking these things, Jesus stood in the midst of them, and saith to them: Peace be to you; it is I, fear not.
36A uiaba mer batager abele lugelam, a Iesu ekueilu uiabi opem, a uiabi daratagerare, kega, Uerkab uabim.
37But they being troubled and frightened, supposed that they saw a spirit.
37Ege uiaba au geum, a ui dikiaporare uiaba lamar pemi erdarda.
38And he said to them: Why are you troubled, and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
38Ege E uiabi daratagerare, kega, Nalu uaba okasosok? nalugelam uaba nerkep basareda?
39See my hands and feet, that it is I myself; handle, and see: for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as you see me to have.
39Debele uaba mamoro dasmer, kara tag peike, pako kara teter, abelelam kaka: uaba kari erpei, a kari dasmer; lamar nole med kak, a nole lid kak, mokakalam uaba kari dasmer.
40And when he had said this, he shewed them his hands and feet.
40Ege E emetu uiabi daratagerare abele mer, E uiabi natomertare tabara tag, a teter.
41But while they yet believed not, and wondered for joy, he said: Have you any thing to eat?
41A uiaba nole oatur kak, abelelam uiaba au sererege, a damared, E uiabi daratagerare, kega, Nako uaba nagri leuer?
42And they offered him a piece of a broiled fish, and a honeycomb.
42Ege uiaba abi ikuar nerute lar mog emetu urim, a nerute mog melikerio.
43And when he had eaten before them, taking the remains, he gave to them.
43Ege E narpeilu, a nareg uiabi opem.
44And he said to them: These are the words which I spoke to you, while I was yet with you, that all things must needs be fulfilled, which are written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
44A E uiabi daratagerare, kega, Abele mer kaka uabi detagereda, abele kerker kaka uabi kemem, abkoreb iako ageakarem gaire lu uridili emetu detali karielam Mose ra gelar, pako perofeta giz, a Salamo.
45Then he opened their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures.
45Epe E depegeli uiaba nerkep, iaueakai uiaba mamoro asoli jauali;
46And he said to them: Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise again from the dead, the third day:
46E uiabi daratagerare, kega, Emetu detali, Abkoreb Keriso asiasi, a thri gerger ko eded akaida eudlam;
47And that penance and remission of sins should be preached in his name, unto all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
47Iaueakai natomertare obazgeda, a adigiri uit ged uridili, abara nei ge, ditimeda Ierusalema.
48And you are witnesses of these things.
48Uaba upinati abele lu.

50And he led them out as far as Bethania: and lifting up his hands, he blessed them.
50Ege E uiabi ais sor ge, bakedida Bethania: ege tabara tag nagaisilu, E uerkab uiabim.
51And it came to pass, whilst he blessed them, he departed from them, and was carried up to heaven.
51Ege E uiabim uerkab, E uiabi dikaer, E bakeamu kotorem.
52And they adoring went back into Jerusalem with great joy.
52Ui ge abim esorgiru; a bakomeret Ierusalemaem, a uiaba au sererege:
53And they were always in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.
53Uiaba ner kak bakeamu zogo meta, uiaba Ade despered. Amen.
