1And the inhabitants of Jerusalem made Ochozias his youngest son king in his place: for the rovers of the Arabians, who had broke in upon the camp, had killed all that were his elder brothers. So Ochozias the son of Joram king of Juda reigned.
1耶路撒冷 的居民立 約蘭 的小兒子 亞哈謝 接續他作王；因為跟隨 阿拉伯 人來攻營的軍兵曾殺了 亞哈謝 的眾兄長。這樣， 猶大 王 約蘭 的兒子 亞哈謝 作了王。
2Ochozias was forty-two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned one year in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother was Athalia the daughter of Amri.
2亞哈謝 登基的時候年四十二歲，在 耶路撒冷 作王一年。他母親名叫 亞她利雅 ，是 暗利 的孫女。
3He also walked in the ways of the house of Achab: for his mother pushed him on to do wickedly.
3亞哈謝 也行 亞哈 家的道；因為他母親給他主謀，使他行惡。
4So he did evil in the sight of the Lord, as the house of Achab did: for they were his counsellors after the death of his father, to his destruction.
4他行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，像 亞哈 家一樣；因他父親死後有 亞哈 家的人給他主謀，以致敗壞。
5And he walked after their counsels. And he went with Joram the son of Achab king of Israel, to fight against Hazael king of Syria, at Ramoth Galaad: and the Syrians wounded Joram.
5他聽從 亞哈 家的計謀，同 以色列 王 亞哈 的兒子 約蘭 往 基列 的 拉末 去，與 亞蘭 王 哈薛 爭戰； 亞蘭 人打傷了 約蘭 。
6And he returned to be healed in Jezrahel: for he received many wounds in the foresaid battle. And Ochozias the son of Joram king of Juda, went down to visit Joram the son of Achab in Jezrahel where he lay sick.

7For it was the will of God against Ochozias that he should come to Joram: and when he was come should go out also against Jehu the son of Namsi, whom the Lord had anointed to destroy the house of Achab.
7亞哈謝 去見 約蘭 就被害了，這是出乎上帝；因為他到了，就同 約蘭 出去攻擊 寧示 的孫子 耶戶 。這 耶戶 是耶和華所膏、使他剪除 亞哈 家的。
8So when Jehu was rooting out the house of Achab, he found the princes of Juda, and the sons of the brethren of Ochozias, who served him, and he slew them.
8耶戶 討 亞哈 家罪的時候，遇見 猶大 的眾首領和 亞哈謝 的眾姪子服事 亞哈謝 ，就把他們都殺了。
9And he sought for Ochozias himself, and took him lying hid in Samaria: and when he was brought to him, he killed him, and they buried him: because he was the son of Josaphat, who had sought the Lord with all his heart. And there was no more hope that any one should reign of the race of Ochozias.
9亞哈謝 藏在 撒馬利亞 ， 耶戶 尋找他，眾人將他拿住，送到 耶戶 那裏，就殺了他，將他葬埋；因他們說，他是那盡心尋求耶和華之 約沙法 的兒子。這樣， 亞哈謝 的家無力保守國權。
10For Athalia his mother, seeing that her son was dead, rose up, and killed all the royal family of the house of Joram.
10亞哈謝 的母親 亞她利雅 見她兒子死了，就起來剿滅 猶大 王室。
11But Josabeth the king’s daughter took Joas the son of Ochozias, and stole him from among the king’s sons that were slain. And she hid him with his nurse in a bedchamber: now Josabeth that hid him, was daughter of king Joram, wife of Joiada the high priest, and sister of Ochozias, and therefore Athalia did not kill him.
11但王的女兒 約示巴 將 亞哈謝 的兒子 約阿施 從那被殺的王子中偷出來，把他和他的乳母都藏在臥房裏。 約示巴 是 約蘭 王的女兒， 亞哈謝 的妹子，祭司 耶何耶大 的妻。她收藏 約阿施 ，躲避 亞她利雅 ，免得被殺。
12And he was with them hid in the house of God six years, during which Athalia reigned over the land.
